Aboiye’s Golden Cloak

There was once a man from Malmak who dared speak ill to a goddess before wishing for vast wealth. Aboiye was granted his wish in the most undesired way. Everything he touched turned to gold. Even his poor wife Ubon was turned into a statue. The food he wished to eat even left him with gold! He pleaded with the goddess to reverse it but the goddess leaned over and whispered ‘Be careful what you wish for.’ It’s said he died of starvation as he tried to plead with the other gods to free him.
This cloak offers increased defense in exchange for decreased speed. It is minorly flame retardant offering a small window of escape if in a pinch. The wearer of this cloak also has the ability to periodically turn any non-living object into solid gold just by touching it.
