Akira liked Kythe a lot, she reminded the foxling of a mothering soul. It comforted her to know such people were in such abundance. Hoja Mesto needed more like her, then perhaps the children there wouldn't be preyed upon. But there was so much mothering the child could withstand at any given time. Somehow, she managed to slip away from the woman and made her way to the refreshments. A fruity drink was obtained, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

This time, Akira chose to stick to the edges of the room. So far, she had not seen anyone she knew. Maybe a glimpse, but they disappeared all too quickly. Wait! There was someone she knew. River was dragging that fiery woman from last year into the crowd. Akira giggled softly. Maybe they were a couple. She watched them, glad they appeared happy. This ball helped pull the grief and sadness war brought to the back of the mind. One did not need to participate within it to feel the effects of such an event.

Choosing not to go up to the pair, Akira returned to scanning the room. Was there no one else? It did not seem as magical as last time. With a sigh, Akira finished her drink and continued walking around the perimeter of the room. Surely, something interesting would happen?
