Rumors speak of a walking city, a massive construct that roams Parvpora; and these rumors actually speak the truth, given that many adventurous souls have actually found the grand city. But those seeking the Walking City must be very careful, for the city has trampled many underfoot. It is not an act of malice; simply the actions of a massive being stepping on those it cannot see, much like a human steps on ants.

The many stone legs that carry the city around are built in multiple styles of architecture, showing the construct’s indeterminate age. Numerous arms hold up the city itself, and stony heads glare around in all directions. The different styles also show the city’s meandering nature, as well as its tendency to cannibalize other constructs to repair itself. Numerous ropes and small platforms dangle from the city overhead, allowing those who cannot fly entry into the grand acropolis. The many arms can pull up these ropes and platforms, but only when there is a threat against the city itself. Those who can fly need to exercise caution though, for the city has a number of defenses against aerial invaders and the guards will not hesitate to turn them against anyone who looks aggressive. The whole city moves with a gentle rocking motion, much like a large ship on the waves.

Once wandering the streets of Hoja Mesto, it is clear that the buildings are much in the same style as the legs below. All manner of architecture from Revaliir, and even from lands beyond, can be found along its streets. The various districts bleed into each other, varying from markets to schools to tenements, as well as cafes and open plazas. Areas are separated only by streets and canals, and many houses have gardens full of exotic and otherworldly plants. Many languages can be heard as well, asking questions of their neighbors, hawking their wares, raising praises to gods from long past. The markets are full of wonders: goods from all over Revaliir and from many lands beyond. People from all walks of life and a multitude of races wander the streets, including anything from refugees from wars and genocide to wanderers and castaways of a hundred other realms. You may even see a fire elemental conversing with an angelic being on the nature of the worlds, or a devil-kin bartering with a troll for alchemical goods.

A great, blackstone tower once stood in the center of the city, but it has crumbled to rubble. None of the residents are wholly sure as to why; but the Archon, a mysterious being who always wears robes and a mask of some manner, assures the people that he is still in charge. The Archon now resides in a building just off the square where the tower once stood. All portals from other realms open in the cavern under this building, allowing for the city to monitor those using magic to come or go from its streets.
