Nemesis pondered about the deal with Angela and what benefits she would truly gain from this. Her daughter’s skin being saved and not flayed from her body by the dark denizens here didn’t seem to be as great as what the Volkovs were gaining. But he would also tread carefully around it. The last time he had wondered about the redhead, he ended up having children with her.
Long ago, he had learned that regret was a pointless effort and waste of time. It had taken several lifetimes for him to get used to that fact, and it made him stronger. His former life was cast away and he moved forward.
“Perhaps, but there’s no use in thinking about it. We are here now, and they are in the past.” He felt her hand reach up to his face, allowing himself to take pleasure in the smoothness of it against his skin.
“And the same for me without you.” Their first night together with Celeste’s new body was enjoyable to say the least. He didn’t have to hold back as much and gave her the attention she long sought for.
“Perhaps, but your body is stronger than before. I wouldn’t dare be as rough as I would be with Sera.” Though to be honest, his first wife was much more good at inflicting pain just as much as taking it. He didn’t think that Celeste would be like her- they were on opposite ends of the spectrum but together they were the ideal wives for him. Nemesis kissed her back and reclined against the bed. This meant that now they would be able to produce children, though he wasn’t sure if such a breed could exist naturally. Perhaps it was more than just Celeste’s smaller former that had been the problem, not that he had ever blamed her of course. As far as he knew, there were only four that existed, and all of them lived on the island.
“Let’s hope that we won’t have to use that option. We both know that nothing would exist in her wake.” He smirked at her as he kissed the top of her head.
“We can try again and see that we have our halls filled with new life…“ He was glad that she wasn’t afraid anymore- if she wanted to see this through, then he would follow suit, like a good husband.

Narrowing her eyes Celeste watched her husband with an uneasy movement. “We’ll have to watch her then. We have a good thing with her but I would rather that we also find out what her side plan is for this. It has to be something more than helping her daughter… but if not… She makes me very curious.”
There was chuckle that left her lips. “Gods help all if we find more to undo with taboo.” She winked at her husband with large red eyes as she thought about it. “This is true, they really did. I dislike what they had become. Had they not been so blind… No… I would not want things to be different. If they had been different I would have never ended up here with you.” She moved her hand to the side of his face now. “It would have been a pitiful existence without you.”
The night moved with them as they explored all the new possibilities that had opened up for them. Once they were exhausted she curled up with him and tilted her head of pink hair as he glanced at her. She nudged his hand softly much like a cat as he stroked her curls. “I never thought we would either. I have always been fragile and too small but now at least I am not small and I am not very fragile… Though still having an elf body makes me more fragile than Sera still.” She chuckled a bit more now before pushing herself up to kiss him.
“I feel good Nemesis… Better than I have in years. I am excited about the future. I want to see what we have in store for us now. Everything has opened for us now. Whatever we will encounter we can conquer it together as we always have… Or send Sera in and hope something is left after the carnage.” She chuckled as she began to lightly draw circles on his chest now as she thought about everything.
“So much is going to change now… That’s how I feel. I’m not scared about it though, I’m excited.”

Nemesis found himself laughing at her witty banter. If anything, beneath her innocent guise lurked about just as much as killer as the other Volkovs. Her devious mind just worked on a grander scale and it sometimes even shocked Nemesis.
“Yes, but here’s the thing about Angela…she’s not a stupid woman. She knew that we’d be getting the bigger rewards out of this and she wouldn’t dare make this if she wasn’t certain…” Cupping his chin, the varwolf couldn’t help but to think if they had skimmed over some other motive behind the goddess’ move. Perhaps it was merely nothing, but he was still skeptical.
“Of course we have. The bigger question is what we haven’t done yet. Few and far, I’d imagine.” They would all atone for their sins, at least that’s what society would say.
They would say that their actions would make them monsters. That his family would be all pay but they really didn’t care. They would do as they pleased and bear no regrets.
“Your former kin deserved it though. They all betrayed and used you for their own profit. And now they are exactly where they belong.” They shared a kiss that was far different from what they had ever had. Perhaps it was his fault for underestimating her, but he didn’t wish to hurt Celeste ever. But now, he felt like he could loosen his restraints around her, even if just by a bit. He could feel that she wanted it as much as he did. They laid onto their bed and perhaps for the first time, they truly made love throughout the night. He took pleasure in enjoying her new body and did his best to give her want she wanted in exchange. Nemesis and Celeste finished at some point and they fell into each other’s embrace. Nemesis glanced over to his wife while stroking the top of her head gently.
“Yes. Never really thought that we would have a night like this before. And you? How do you feel?”

Celeste tilted her head at him and nodded. “It doesn’t seem like all that bad of a deal. Even if Aaryona gets herself killed we’ll continue to reap the benefits of this deal… If anything your redhead devil gave herself the short end of the stick. Wouldn’t you agree?”
She pushed her fingers to cup his face and kissed the tip of his nose gently as she thought. “Taboo was also killing all of my people. Why would I care for one more little taboo on the road to hell?” She chuckled softly. “We kill, we plunder, we share each other… There isn’t a taboo we have committed that we haven’t enjoyed at least a little. Killing my people weighs heavily on me at times but I can’t say I didn’t enjoy it when I did it.”
She was pleased by the kiss they shared. It was more than anything they had shared before but mostly because her body could take it. She wasn’t as fragile as she used to be but she could still feel that he was holding back with her. It would take some getting used to this for both of them. She gave him a smile that meant she understood and kissed him again lightly. “You know that besides my craving for knowledge that I worry.”
The elf could see the desire in his eyes probably way sooner than he had told her. She smiled at him and kissed him once more. There was so much want between the two of them. She had always wanted him to love her like a regular woman and now she could have that. She was no longer as fragile as she once was. “You know me, Love… Knowledge is going to be what gets me killed.” That was all the prompting she needed to give him before they entered the night together.
Together they spent all night coming up with crazy ideas and positions. She enjoyed it majorly and she didn’t really like how rough Sera liked it but still, she was the softer of the two. Afterward, she curled herself around him and put her head on his shoulder as her arm gripped his hip and her leg wrapped around his. “That was more fun than I ever thought it would be. Definitely different from how things used to be.” She chuckled a bit as she nipped at his neck. “Are you fulfilled finally, my Love?” She teased him knowing she could have fulfilled him either way.

Nemesis mused her and tickled beneath her chin.
"Of course my sweet. You now that I don't mind it." There was no secret that he allowed her many thing just as he did Sera. If it meant that they would be happy, then he was willing to oblige. The foreign fruits and her library were testimony to that for Celeste as it was for Sera and him letting her have her way most days were. They were the only things that mattered to him besides himself that he had left in this world.
"Always, Celeste. It is a harsh lesson the three of us have learned in our lives, but we are survivors in one sense or another. That is how it will always be until the bitter end." When it came to giving Celeste her dream, he was willing to pay this price of mentoring Angela's daughter. She was correct in thinking that only he would be the safest bet for Aaryona's survival as well as her clan's. Had she came to another vampire house, there was a good chance that they would have simply taken advantage of her or kill them on the spot. She didn't annoy him enough to warrant her death nor would it had been a wise thing to do. That said, should she endanger his family, Nemesis would have no choice but to take the proper actions.
"While I can't say that I'm completely enthralled by the idea, I'd rather let you have your dream and simply pay the redhead devil her dues. She was clever in this little exchange as she had always been." Perhaps even better since this was a different side of her that he hadn't seen before. Still, he didn't regret his chosen path now.
"Oh I know. It was a selfish thing for me to ask and you had every right to turn me down. Most women would have since the concept of sharing is a tad, taboo." He kissed her in a manner he had never done so before, it was much more harder than what they were used to with one another yet not as carnal as he was with Sera. Perhaps he was still holding back somewhat because it was Celeste after all.
"Darling, you are worth more to me than just some tool. Had I not seen the value you are truly worth, I would have never brought you back here. Do not worry about comparing the two of you, you are both worthy of standing by my side", he reassured her.
"You do bring honor to this house. There was never a question about that."He felt himself being pulled towards her and their embrace was equal and roughness and want. His hands settled onto her hips as he pulled her closer to him. The more she spoke, the tighter the grip became on her. There was no point in hiding his desire for her, not that she couldn't see it across his eyes.
"I could teach you a lot, but it depends on what you wish me to teach." When it became too much for him to hold himself back, he moved in and kissed her for long moments. The flames of passion stroked violently within him as he became more carnal with her. Soon he stripped himself of his clothing and closed the space between them. The next several moments were filled with a lustful haze in his mind as they carried out whatever pleased them. This lovemaking was vastly different from before now as their union carried on until gods knew when. He allowed her to crave and enjoy the touches and kisses he bathed her body with; whispers of sweet promises and vulgar whispers seeped from his mouth and into her ears. But Nemesis was good enough to stop such things when asked and fulfilled whatever she wanted. His own body craved hers and took to her like a addictive drug. Minutes felt like hours, and hours like days as he helped her get used to her new self while enjoying it as well.

Celeste stared up at him with a soft set of eyes as he watched her. His eyes spilled with lust and it felt very odd, though it was also very nice. “I’ll always enjoy myself when you spoil me,” she chuckled a bit as she thought about it. “It’s adapt or die Love… Isn’t that what you told me?”
After her question, he stopped her hands on her body. He sat down by him and listened to his words. She gave a gentle smile as he stared into her eyes. She was glad that he liked her new form and it eased her soul to hear those words come from him. “I was a little worried about if her price would be too steep… you would go through hell for me and I know that… Not that I would ever ask you to.” She lifted her hand to his face for a small moment as they kissed. It was so light, it was due to him needing to be a bit more gentle with her smaller form.
“If I ever fret about Sera completely… I would have never agreed to marry you and share you with her.” She chuckled a bit and kissed him back. She was taken back by the force for just a moment as no one had ever been that rough with her, thanks to her fragile form before. “All I truly worry about is being of use to you. I am much weaker than my sister wife and that worries me sometimes because honor is very important to me.”
Cupping his face she brought him back down to her and kissed him once more with the roughness that he had shown her. “You know… You have a lot to teach me with this new body.” She chuckled a bit at him as she played dumb. “You could teach me all over again. I’m sure you would love that. Especially since you don’t have to hold back anymore.” No more having to be gentle with her just because she had a fragile form. Now that she was grown they could explore different things. All he had to do was agree.

He wasn’t very sure if Celeste was telling him the truth and did have some insecurities, but he also knew that she’d have no reason to lie to him. In the end, Nemesis accepted her answer all the same. What he did know was that she wasn’t the sort that wished for attention from strangers. She only wished to please her husband and he knew very well of the lengths to her loyalty to him for he shared the same views.
“Indeed, you have nothing to worry about as far as that happening. Things between us have always been interesting to me”, he spoke with a toothy grin. And now it seemed like that venture wouldn’t be changing but rather growing with the inclusion of children now. He hadn’t had any since the twins with Angela and she had yet to fully experience motherhood. It would be quite the change for the Volkovs.
Nemesis suppose that he truly hadn’t looked to Celeste in such a manner before- it wasn’t that he hadn’t found her lovely before but with her new curves and assets, it served him to remember that she still carried the same mind that first intrigued him about her so many moons ago. Neither her body or mind overshadowed the other, but instead complimented each other in his opinion. It definitely had an effect on her since she was also closer to his height. Many had mistaken her in the past to be his daughter and many had paid for such insults. Now there would be no denying that she belonged to him- mind, body and heart. They made their way to the bedroom to be alone with one another and he watched her strip away the dress from her body. He watched his mate with lustful eyes, there was no denying that as he strolled over towards the bed she fell against and soon begun his work. Nemesis enjoyed the paths his hand took down her body, from her supple breasts to her smooth stomach and hips. He especially adored the way she watched him as he did it too.
“Glad to see you enjoying yourself, my love.” His hands moved up to her neck and caressed it gently to allow the contents to against it.
“You’ll get used to it, you were always so good at adapting, I have no doubt whatsoever.” The alpha worked back down her body but then ceased a moment when she questioned his feeling about her. Nemesis tilted his head and lowered himself to be seated on the bed beside her.
“Celeste, I am pleased. Quite pleased actually.” He looked her deeply in her eyes, allowing her to see the lust that followed beneath his own.
“Everything for us outweighs any payment I must atone for, and your happiness is my own. Right now nothing else matters but us.” He shifted lower to her and pressed his lips softly against hers, he was still used to be being so gentle with her in her original form.
“Do not fret about comparing yourself to Serafina. You are you and she is her. I do not prefer one over the other. You both know that.” He kissed her again, this time he was a bit rougher and let it linger just a bit longer.

Celeste knew that her husband was being sincere with her. She knew that it probably never crossed his mind at all since he was so attracted to the way her wondrous mind worked. She offered him a smile and moved her lips to his cheek so she could put her forehead against him. It felt weird without having him down on the ground kneeling but it was also nice. “No Nemesis, it never even crossed my mind to bother me. I suppose that it is all just too different just yet but I will get used to it. I do like the way you watch me, it is the others. It is pleasantly different after all these years to see you look at me differently, but it is not a bad thing. I think it is a good thing, after all, people say marriages get stale after so long.” It was more of a joke considering just how long they had been married.
She nodded to him and smiled up at him. It was a great honor for her to be able to finally add an heir to their family. It meant the world to her and more, especially putting to rest the thousand dying cries of the children they had lost. It would never replace the love she felt for each of those children but it finally felt like something was going right in that little area of their life and that was all it took to make Celeste happy. “Yes… and it will become our wish finally.” Nemesis could have children with whoever he wanted but he had waited for Celeste. He was respectful of his wives and chose only to bed them, despite how Serafina was. Celeste even with this new form would continue being just his and that alone satisfied her. Besides how devoted she was to him it did seem like a lot of work finding someone else, way too much effort and a waste of time in her opinion.
Finally, they parted and she took his hand delicately. Her hand was a bit bigger now as she wrapped her fingers around his. Her thumb gently caressed his skin and she found herself smiling a bit more at the thought of being even closer to his size. It wasn’t something she thought she had ever desired but… now she didn’t know what she would do if things reversed. It was still all too sudden in her mind and she nodded up to him. “Yes, away from prying eyes seems wonderful right now.” It provided them with privacy to do as they pleased… and her limbs really did hurt after all.
As he led her up the staircase she let her free hand feel the stone wall as they ascended the manor. Her slender digits gently weaving in and out of the stone spacing and feeling the cold presence they had despite her thinking the manor was quite warm today. Once in their bedroom, she watched him take the bottle out and shut the door.
After nodding to him, it took a little bit for her to figure out just how to take off the dress that Angela had so kindly made for her. Once she could wiggle out of it the fabric fell into a puddle on the floor and she flung herself almost too gleefully back on the bed and took a deep breath as her crimson eyes met his once he was over her.
Her eyes closed as she relaxed and once in a while she would giggle and wiggle herself as he as caressed places that felt rather weird now. It was especially weird when it came to her breasts and her hips, probably because she wasn’t used to even having them. She didn’t mind him taking his time to learn her new body, in truth that excited her more than it should have. She peeked up at him and gave him a tender look, “Much better, it feels so warm and it’s soothing away the aches… but you are comforting me more than any bottle of magic potion can. For some reason, it’s making me awful gleeful to have you touching me.”
It was clear that she wasn’t used to the sensations and the desires of an adult body. It was almost uncomfortable for her but she let the dreadful feeling leave as she focused on the fact that it was her Nemesis that was doing the caressing and admiring. That alone made her feel much better about the whole thing. Her hair was still like an ocean around her and she gently moved an arm up so she could twirl large strands of her hair. Her hair was much like silk, so soft and smooth just like the rest of her elvish body.
“Are you pleased Nemesis?” She pushed herself up after a moment of thought and leaned back on her elbows as she sat up close to him. “With me… I mean. At first, I didn’t know what you thought… and I’m still confused. I want you to like me still. I won’t deny being a tad jealous of Sera if you are displeased with my new body.” Though the words left her lips it was the look in her eyes that said she knew he was happy with it all though a bit miffed with the price they had to pay for all this.

“Yes, I understand what you mean. I fell for your brilliance, my love. Your physical state had never been a problem for me for your mind was the most attractive thing to me. Besides that, I felt like you and Sera together were well rounded enough since you both were polar opposites.” Still they were very much so, though the gap was more narrow now. He gazed at her more so, and for a moment he was starting to wonder if she had felt inferior because of her previous form.
“Did it really bother you so much?” He knew that there were some things she could hide from him and he wouldn’t be completely surprised by her answer either way.
“I know you been waiting for it, and I knew it was for not just you and me, but for the family entirely.” He hadn’t been against the idea; in fact he was pleased with the concept that they would be able to have children now. He was even more pleased with how lovely her form was.
“And with this…blessing…your wish will closer to coming true.” As much as he loathed it, he did owe Angela now and had to make sure that her daughter didn’t get herself killed. It wasn’t so much a big deal he supposed when they would be reaping in much greater rewards from this deal. For now it was just him and Celeste and he held out his hand for her when she requested that they use the stuff the goddess provided them.
“Yes, let’s go upstairs then. Don’t think you’d want more prying eyes on you, darling.” He smiled and lead her up to the staircase, up the stairs and towards their chambers. Unearthing the bottle from his pocket, Nemesis started to open the contents and looked to Celeste,
“Go ahead and get ready.” He shut the door and locked it before making his own way towards the bed and when she was laying down, Nemesis poured some of the stuff into his hands and massaged her. Starting with her shoulders, he worked on them and moved down towards hers arms. When that was through, he poured some more and began to caress her chest and stomach before traveling down to her legs. It was strange and new for him as he explored her grown body and made sure that she was tended to accordingly.
“How is it?”, he asked as he continued the massage.

Aaryona looked at him for a moment and there wasn’t a look of shock. “The fact you know his name for me means I was correct in assuming that you know a lot more than initially thought.” Before they left Aaryona hesitated. “Lord Volkov, kis roka means Little Fox. It’s from the Haza Savanna, where Eirik is from.” She bowed again before catching up to her mother. Things were going to get interesting from here on out.
“I am just not used to the staring eyes, My Love.” Celeste looked to Nemesis and only him to avoid the looks. For now, he sent everyone away. “Only you can look upon me and I don’t feel so awkward. I suppose it is because my form is more appealing now. You and I have always had a mind connection instead of a full body connection. I am glad that my form appeals to you now. I think I would be sad if it did not after growing like this.”
She pushed her face into his hand and nuzzled it softly. Her face wasn’t so small anymore that she could nuzzle all the way so easily anymore. “Yes, and with Angela’s care, we’ll be able to grow our small circle… Using our offspring to gain more power ground.” Of course, their children weren’t tools but this was just how things were. “It is very much what I want. More than anything… It even beats finding the cure for the moon curse. Having a family with you and Sera, it is my greatest wish.”
She did love her sister wife even if they fought at times. They were all part of a strong pack together. They needed to love one another and no one else. With the addition of the children Celeste knew that eventually, Sera would love them as well. Maybe not the crying or the whining but strong children she would adore.
“Can you… rub that stuff on me? My limbs and torso hurt from growing.” There was another blush as she admitted to her pain. “It is a numb pain and not really all that bad… but if we have the solution to it… It would be better to use it.” She wanted to spend time with her husband after all.
Author: Nemesis, Posted: Thu Jul 6, 2017 2:55 PM, Post Subject: Lost's Meaning[P/R]
It wasn't to say that Nemesis and Angela didn't have a sort of understanding at all. No, there were some things they both believed in and it had lead to the creation of the twins. But he suppose that they stood were they were now because together they were too volatile. He knew that she changed from the woman in DaeLuin, just as he wasn't the same man both physically and mentally speaking. He did frown when she brought up "his other side", mainly because he knew that Celeste had no idea of what they were discussing. He wasn't trying to hide it from her, but rather thought of it to be a useless thing to mention since it wouldn't affect them in the least.
"Let's just say that she's referring to a man that I used to be." He didn't want to think about Raeguel and how weak he was. Again, he left the past where it belonged.
"No, that won't do. Not if he catches wind of me and ruins everything I have worked hard for." His head tilted to the other side; he could care less for Lilith but had already knew that Aaryona depended on her. As annoying as it was, he wouldn't do anything to destroy her. Perhaps put her in her place, maybe.
"The she-vampire will not be broken. Though I don't take kindly in being called "a little insignificant fly" for no reason. I have killed for lesser insults." He cared not if Lady Draconis didn't favor this part of the deal, she was going to learn that sometimes one had to make the necessary choices for the betterment of the family. Her vampire had to learn an important lesson and oh, he was feeling quite generous as a smile crept up onto his face.
"Oh no, you may be a different person Angela, with all due respect, but this time my clan is rather small. In fact, only those dearest to me are apart of that circle. So I'm sure you can understand that if either of my consorts are harmed and Aaryona had a willing part in it, I will not hesitate like I did with her brother." "We will see. She has promise, but I can be rather…cruel at times, so I've heard. Regardless I will teach her what she needs to know." Whether she could keep up or not remained to be seen, but her mother had every bit of confidence in her so he would have to take that into consideration.
Despite his harsh words for Aaryona, he didn't hold such a tone when speaking directly to her. Instead, he was simply his charming self as his attention shifted,
"Oh no no no. You have already apologized for her behavior, Lady Draconis. All is forgiven between you and I on that issue." He waved it off and dropped his arms to either side as he approached her,
"Also give your wolf my regards, kis róka." His smile deepened and he nodded to Angela and turned back to rejoin Celeste. He had never seen her so meek as she was before, but much had changed and she was still taking it all in.
"I'm afraid that you will start to see some of the problems Serafina have to deal with as far as the locals are concerned. Your previous protected you from most of the vulgar comments and staring eyes, but now… He himself couldn't help but to stare but it was his wife and he had such rights if she allowed it, of course. He lifted his sights to everyone else in the room, his hard eyes were a silent gesture for dismissal and so they all had. "Yes, that is true now. You should be able to finally care to full term without issues and the baby no long being ill." He caressed her face as he always did. "A healthy child we will have together, is that not what you want?"

Angela looked sternly at Nemesis for a moment. “The last time you had a role I should have killed Nathaniel myself. The old me that you met was a weak pathetic woman who didn’t know when to end it. Thought that there was a solution for everything when there is not. I’m older and more wise than I was there and I am not the same woman I was back in DaeLuin. Here I am over fifteen hundred years old, I was the Goddess of Death and Decay, I may be the Goddess of Life now but that doesn’t discredit the things I know that I didn’t then. If it happens again, I will not hesitant to kill my own child like I did.” She tilted her head. “However, the best person to mentor her is you. I am not dumb enough to think otherwise. I could ask your other half but that puts you two way too close together. I’m not willing to risk what could happen. Your part about the alliance waiting is good enough of an answer for me. I wasn’t really going to push it right at this moment. Even I know Aaryona is a risk.”
By the look on her daughter’s face Angela knew that the girl was in utter shock of how different her mother was. “Lilith? I bit her once,” Angela shrugged a bit. “I’m sorry she used to be mute too.”
“MOTHER!” Aaryona finally said as Angela shrugged more.
“Call it the ex wife to the wife. Lilith has gotten rude in her old age. I say it’s from Harkon abusing her towards Marius. Doesn’t excuse her mouth every once in a while some humility will do her good. However, Aaryona does still need her around. As long as you don’t break her…” The disapproving look from Aaryona told Angela this was a bad idea. “Lilith is easy enough to talk to once you get through the defenses. I’m sure she was only rude a little.” She could tell something happened but she didn’t know completely.
Aaryona turned herself to Nemesis as he spoke to her and nodded. “I know, I didn’t have any idea how Kurayo was and I rushed into it without second thought to save my clan.” It took a lot to admit that she was wrong. “I’ve never been put in that situation before.” When he mentioned Eirik she took a moment to breath. “I figured that was you out in the woods. You really spooked him but I think its because he thought he couldn’t protect me anymore.” Her fingers gripped at her dress lightly.
Listening to Nemesis Aaryona nodded and didn’t interrupt him. “My father started but never finished thanks to the void… I know some swordplay but that’s it. Lux was forged for me but I can’t use it very effectively yet. I will have Lilith come here… She owes you an apology to start. She misunderstood before.”
“I don’t even want to know what she said.” Angela scoffed a bit. “She is too protective for her own good. Her and Marius could never have children so she lashed out at whoever she thought would harm Aaryona. Like I said Marius would do anything for his children. During our first marriage he sacrificed himself so I could save Nathaniel from the hunters and the fire. He was only a toddler at the time. Lilith is of the same mindset as Marius… No doubt from spending so long together.”
Crossing her arms Angela looked at Nemesis. “Do you what you see fit. If she gets herself killed even with your help that’s none of this deal’s concern. The deal is for you to mentor her not to babysit her. Should she not listen that is on her. If she attacks you or your own do as you see fit, if I catch her first I will punish her. I have no time for children who would endanger their other siblings. It would not be the first child of mine that I’ve killed for the betterment of the others.” Again this Angela shocked Aaryona but she could only guess that this was the result of Cyprus here in this realm.
Celeste smiled at her lover and put her hand in his as Angela nodded. “I will keep up mine. If Aaryona falters we still have a deal. I don’t back out just because my child can’t keep up. However, she is a good strong child and I have no doubts that she can live up to your expectations. She is still young and learning… She still have that impulsiveness that all new fledglings have at her age. She will learn or she will die. This is the life she has chosen and I can’t persuade her otherwise. My magic will keep Celeste this way so there will be no need for her to drink that potion more than once. That bottle I gave you is something you will have to do whenever she grows after the new moons though… If you run out just contact me and I’ll make you some more… if it isn’t strong enough I’ll make a more potent batch for you to try.”
Angela got up and bowed to them both before Aaryona did the same. “Send me a letter or messenger when you want Lilith to come see you. I’ll make sure she is on her best behavior. I do apologize deeply for the things that she has said," Aaryona spoke softly but with respect as she gave a deep bow to Nemesis.
“For now Nemesis, take this time to be with Celeste. Get used to her,” Angela winked at them both and it sent a blush to Celeste’s face once more.
After the farewells were given Celeste looked back up to Nemesis. “Things are going to be oddly different around here… aren’t they?” She could already feel the house staff and the others of their family looking at her. It made her a tad uncomfortable but she would get used to it. “And… we can finally have our child…” It stuck with her since Aaryona had given her the vial.

He already knew somewhat that the deal had to with watching over her daughter and make she didn’t get herself or her clan killed. That would seem to be more of a chore than a request for him. He tilted his head slightly and entertained the thought.
“You believe it is wise for me to mentor her? Considering the last time I had played such a role, one of your children had to be buried…” It seemed odd but he suppose all things considered, she had to learn from someone and the only person they knew here that was capable of doing this was unfortunately him. Still, he shouldn’t had been surprised once he spotted her with Angela.
“The alliance part will have to wait. The mentor bit though, that’s something that is more capable of happening. We will see afterwards if we can become true allies.” What he had seen so far from their brief meetings didn’t convince him of joining forces with her just yet. She had potential, but her age and inexperience were warning signs for him. Nemesis wasn’t above considering it for the future though, just as he had considered other things prior.
“Yes, Lilith…I remember quite well.” From the disdain in his voice, he hadn’t forgotten the disrespect she gave to him out of a blatant misunderstanding. It was true that he wasn’t as bothered by it as he had been at that gathering, but even with thousands of years in between then and now, he still remembered. Nemesis wasn’t surprised in the least that she didn’t know how to run a clan. She was brought up to be a thrall, in other words, a vampiric slave to Marius.
“I am sorry to hear that she used to be a mute.” He heard the rest of the tale before from her mother and to be honest it was’t much different from how he came to power. The Shiran Clan was placed onto him because he was the absolute loyal child of his former mistress. He hadn’t forgotten his time with her or the clan but he had to learn that the past was the past and she would never be seen again. That is why he moved on and it was for the best since he had met his consorts.
He kept a stony appearance, only faulting when Celeste chimed in. He knew that she was hooked in once Angela promised that their unborn children would come into the world without fear of immediate death and illness. He watched his little wolf more and knew that she would accept the deal right there and then. There would be no way of arguing against it, not that he would disappoint her. His eyes closed and his fingers drummed lightly against his arm. He considered everything that was spoken and more so, what wasn’t and it was awhile before the vaewolf caved and nodded.
“If you keep your end of the bargain, then we will keep ours. But I do have terms for you, Aaryona.” His eyes opened and sharply looked to her,
“Firstly, you will have to learn to be more discreet with your…encounters with the other families. Believe me, if we have gotten wind of your doing, then the council that controls the city did as well. Some of the vampires and werewolves that are still in power are much older than even myself. It is against the law for families to wage war against one another, at least so obviously. If you must do something, then I will teach you on how to deal with them accordingly. Should you anger the council enough, there will be naught I can do for you at that point. You or your wolf.” “You have the makings of being a great leader, and there is a time for mercy and a time to be cruel. You will learn the difference to that as well. I will teach her the arts of combat as well if I have to; that way if you are out of magic or can’t tap into it for whatever reason, you will be able to fight still using weapons and even your own body. In turn, you can teach your people that as well. Finally, I want Lilith to come to the manor at some point. There are things we have to discuss as well. In turn, I will help you not only have a better standing in this city reputation wise, but also financially with trade.” She would learn the ins and outs of this place, and what she did with it was her own doing. He would merely give her the tools and knowledge to wield.
“Just don’t fall for what your brother had once before or attack me or my own. You do that then I can’t guarantee that I will be so kind to you or your clan.” Nemesis looked then to Celeste before the look softened.
“But I will make this work on my end, for my love’s sake. Just make sure that you two keep up yours.”

Angela sat up in her chair and smiled at everyone in the room. “It’s against Aaryona’s wishes to have help but I’ve played her game long enough. First, she let me strand her in the middle of Revaliir is barely any clothes on her back… Then she convinced me she didn’t want to be in Canelux. This is the least I can do, I am her mother… and Marius isn’t here anymore.” Angela frowned a bit more. “Lilith is wonderful and a good teacher but she isn’t Marius. She has never run a clan before. I just want to make sure she has someone she can listen to and knows the way around others. You have that knowledge. I don’t want you to babysit her… an alliance yes… but mentor more so. She would never forgive me if I said to babysit her.”
Aaryona made a face at her mother and gave in so she could look at Nemesis. “It’s true that my stepmother doesn’t know how to run a clan well. She was nothing more than Harkon and my father’s thrall. If my father stepped out of line Harkon used Lilith against my father. The Draconis house is very old. It dates so far back that when the Draconis choose its next leader it was a 100 man gladiator event. The winner becomes the next head. I am the first one to inherit it by my father’s blood. It’s why so many were against me coming to power. My father was originally a farmer’s son near MoonCrest. He was one of the 100 that Harkon handpicked for the event. Lilith was originally from a rogue Draconis, something that was very illegal. She was also originally a mute because my father pleaded since she was innocent Harkon spared her and made her my father’s thrall. That’s all my knowledge of the situation.”
Angela nodded a bit. “It was around eight hundred years after that when the fall of the Draconis happened. Apparently, Harkon had suffered sun stroke. Lilith and Marius were forced to put him down. In the ruins of the clan, Marius walked away from it while Lilith chose to stay and carry on the family name. However, without the true heir, the Draconis suffered. It was during that time that Marius and I met. He used to tell me the stories which is the only reason I know them.” Angela explained a bit more and motioned to Aaryona. “Her father taught her everything he could before the void happened… He got lost in it and didn’t make it through since he put all his effort into making sure Aaryona got through. If anything, Marius has always made sure his legacy survived. That’s why I’m asking you to do this. I don’t know anything about clans or how to run them… It’s a different hierarchy than the Rosenites.”
Celeste tilted her head. “That’s it? That’s all you want to be able for me to give birth?”
Angela held up her hand and shook her head. “It’s not just you being able to give birth. This means so much to me that I will personally oversee every child birth and make sure they are healthy. If the taboo curse continues even with them being able to come to term, I can cure it.” Celeste’s eyes went wide for a moment as her lips trembled just a bit. “That’s how much this means to me. You help my daughter and I will forever be in your debt to do this. You break this vow and I take it away. It’s as simple as that.”

Had this potion or whatever was in the vial truly changed her? Nemesis knew not what would come from this any further but he was concerned if this would prove to have a negative outcome for her. While he was fancying her new form, he pondered what she thought about all of this. For example, they would surely have to get her a new wardrobe for starters. As gorgeous as she was naked, he was sure that she’d prefer clothing that fit her. He studied her and noticed that she was rather bashful towards him. Had he never paid her such attention before? Nemesis loved her deeply and it never occurred to him before that he had found her mind to be her most attractive asset. While she was very petite, it hadn’t bothered him. But this was a side he had never dared to dream of. He was very impulsive at times and her change happened as soon as he had Sera’s blessing towards the idea. If he had waited until she fully matured, then…
He waited for her to find something that she could fit into and while the dress wasn’t a perfect fit, it at least covered her enough and they went downstairs to be greeted by both Angela and her daughter. The lord of the manor watched with a keen eye a predator would use when inspecting its prey. Why was he not too surprised by their arrival? At least the goddess had granted her another favor by altering the dress to suit her form.
“And pray tell what do we owe the pleasure of this visit?” It wasn’t so much that he didn’t know, but rather have the situation explained to his own ears. While he figured that Angela would have a reason to be here, he was more curious as to while Aaryona was about. He wasn’t blind to her doing in Kurayo as of late and while he had fun tormenting her big bad wolf friend, he hadn’t so much as to lift a finger at them.
He caught the bottle she threw at him and looked to it as she explained it was for the pains Celeste were feeling from this. Of course he would do this in a more private setting between the two of them. He tucked it into his pocket and stroked Celeste’s hair gently as if to try and calm her. These rules more or less made sense to him as he interpreted the situation they were in. Given Parvpora and how the Gods worked, it only made sense that she couldn’t completely cure her ailment here and they didn’t wish to live in Canelux either. Still it sounded like a fairly good plan to at least help Celeste carry a child up to full term. Perhaps even more children than they thought. Of course Nemesis was waiting for the point of her visit- which was what was the deal they’d have to make with the devil herself. He stood stoically and looked towards her daughter as she questioned her presence here as well.
Crossing his arms, he was starting to figure out what she was suggesting as it came to be. His eyes shifted to Celeste, knowing that this was likely the best shot she could have for getting the one thing she would desire above all. As much as he loathed babysitting, he would do just about anything for his wives.
“Which is?”

Their relationship had always been on loving the knowledge side of their selves. Sure her husband was handsome and she adored him for it but on her side, not much could be loved about a child’s body. He was stuttering towards her as the blush deepened on her face. He had never looked at her like that before. Sure he looked at her with love and want but it was surely different than this.
Elves were beautiful and Moon Elves even more with the way their skin dazzled like silver flecks and their pale washed out hair. He had almost stumbled as he came over to her. His fingers were quick as they had always been as he released her from her clothes. She wiggled her hips, something she wasn’t used to, and got the rest of the fabric off now.
“Thank… you…” It made her blush even more. He left her side now as they went to get dressed. She moved over to Sera’s stuff and frowned as her bust still wasn’t as big as her sister wife. Still she would have to get used that she wouldn’t measure up to Sera in everything. Though she was still in quite the shock about it all.
It was ill fitting but she pulled on the dress, which Sera never wore anyways… for as long as it had been in the woman’s possession. Moving with Nemesis they went out into the parlor room to see their guests. She had never seen Aaryona so much in discomfort as she was when sitting next to her mother. Her mother was ripe with confidence and beauty. Maybe it was living in her mother’s shadow that made the girl so uncomfortable.
Angela turned and smiled to them. “Oh, Celeste… That dress looks awful on you.” She clapped her hands and the dress seemed to shift into a more elvish design. Even the colors changed to a more midnight blue with gold accents. It fit her rather well and her now long legs had a slit they could come through. Celeste whirled about as she looked at it. “Are you adjusting well?”
“It’s… weird and my body hurts.”
Angela pulled out a bottle and tossed it to Nemesis. “Rub that on her limbs. Adraejen put that on me when I was killed and brought back as a child. Works wonders for growing pains.” Angela looked like she had taken over just a bit as a servant brought her tea and she went about pouring some cups. “I wasn’t sure if you would take the vial so I had to make an impromptu trip to see you all. Aaryona has been housing me in her house for the time being.” Aaryona looked up and bowed her head just a bit. “Now, there are rules to this new body.” Angela looked up at Nemesis but then her eyes went to Celeste.
“On the night of the monthly full moon, you will shift back to your former self unless pregnant. The twin full moons are responsible for this shift. If you were in a larger body you would be in an endless amount of pain worse than your small body. However, since I was unable to make the potion work with the yearly full moon… and we don’t want you stuck in your small body for a full month… so one day and night cycle won’t harm you at all. However, if you are pregnant on these nights you will lose your magic instead. It renders the full moon’s harm against you on the night of the twin pointless. I’ve tried to find ways around it but in Parvpora my magic isn’t as strong. I relied solely on the medicinal properties of my plants for this potion.”
Aaryona looked up. “Why do you want me here?” It was abrupt and Angela smiled.
“Because nothing is free… and I didn’t think it could be solved without you being here. The price for my help in this situation… has to do with Aaryona being in Kurayo. I can’t help her over here if something goes wrong. I’m the Mother after all… I worry about her. She may be grown but here in Kurayo she’s still a child.” She sipped on the tea. “Will you listen to my proposal Nemesis?”

For hours to seeming no end, Nemesis watched his beloved slumber in an unnatural rest. He was still unsure as to what the contents of the vial had done to her other than knock her out. Had it been merely a trick by the goddess in some way or fashion then his rage would be known. But Angela had been a clever, if not cunning and scheming woman at times, and she knew how well revered in violence and vengeance he was. So he suspected that there was more to whatever it was she gave them than met the eye. Still, he couldn't help but to worry for her, especially after everything she had been through.
Sleep threatened his desire to watch over her and by the climax of the night, he could feel himself slipping but still wanting to keep awake. Perhaps it wasn't the best thing to keep away for nights beforehand working on his portraits after all. The vaewolf felt the end of nightfall and yet he fell into his own slumber. It was undoubtedly not as refreshing as one could hope for and it was obvious from the movement of the bed that Celeste had stirred awake and gotten off the bed. With that to cease his chaotic mind, Nemesis simply rolled to his side and allowed himself to fall further into the darkness.
It was only after he heard her scream did he jolt himself up and looked towards her direction. For a moment he stared at the woman that was in his quarters. At first he swore his eyes were playing tricks on her as he could smell Celeste alright but this was not the same person. He couldn't help but to hear her voice stumbling from her. It was unreal as his eyes explored her body.
"Ce…Ce…Celeste?" If his jaw could, it would have fell through the bed and onto the floor. He had always found her mind attractive and alluring but she now possessed a form that even the angels could be envious over. He hurried off the bed, nearly stumbling off and went over to her. Going behind her, his hand went and tore the dress she wore into two so that she could slip right out of it.
"Made you grow…" He couldn't help but to mimic her words; what sort of ploy was this? He turned to heard one of the servants address them and he went to get dressed.
"It looks like it, Celeste. You…are stunning…" He couldn't tear his eyes away from her- he knew elves to be fairly pretty but this was just…he never expected this…
"Might have to steal something from Serafina but we must hurry to see who's waiting for us" Nemesis pondered if it was the Mother or her daughter that would be meeting with them. He didn't very well believe in coincidences.

It was the best sleep she had ever had. She was convinced. She woke up to Nemesis fast asleep and moved out of the bed silently as she rubbed her eyes. She was aching but she figured it was only because of the potion that she had so willingly ingested. Putting her feet down she prepared herself to slide off the tall bed like normal only to find herself able to reach already.
Had Nemesis moved the bed down so she was more in comfort? There was a puzzled look on her face but she was far too drowsy to really care at the moment as she stood up and padded her way across the hard marble floor. Opening closet she picked through the dresses and brought one to the mirror to look at herself in it as she always did.
When her crimson eyes met the reflection she dropped the dress. A screech left her lips as finally, she woke up completely. She began to hyperventilate for a few moments as she pushed her long hair back. She was grown! It was impossible but yet… Her mind slipped to the potion she had drunk. Was this the solution to their problems?
She felt herself stumble back just a bit. The dress she had been wearing was unusually tight against her… She should have noticed. She had to bet she was at least five foot seven now. Her hair didn’t come to the floor anymore… Her bust! She moved her hair and looked at its now ample state. Her rear! She peeked behind and found herself blushing now completely. Everything about her was grown like time had never stopped for her. Even her face had gotten older. She looked more sultry than before but she was still very lithe, she had elvish blood after all.
Her red eyes went to Nemesis. “She made me grow… Also… I can’t get this dress off.” It was too tight now. Her head felt light and she felt like her blood was rushing all over the place as she stumbled just a bit from the shock of everything.
There was a knock at the door and Celeste was hesitant. “Lord and Lady, you have a guest here for you.” Her eyes looked wildly back at Nemesis. This gift… was it truly real?

It was a pity that a devoted and loving wife such as Celeste wanted for one thing and it eluded her at each and every turn. It did pained him to see her in so much distress. He knew well of those nights whenever their efforts failed and he watched her at work for hours with no end. He knew of when she slumbered only to wake up in horror from whatever her mind had manifested in her dreams. It was a sad sight and he would do anything within his power to see that she could gain what she wanted.
“I do not know. It’s hard to figure out what goes through her head at times. She is only of the few people I’ve encountered that I couldn’t read fully.” Whatever it was there, he had to tread carefully and have his eyes and ears open.
Her problems didn’t outweigh her talents and smarts, both of which that were essential to the family. It wasn’t like he wasn’t broken in some way; perhaps that also helped to have him so understanding and unwilling to toss her aside. Especially after all these years together, he wasn’t about to waste that time because of a few problems.
“I know. Still I should have sense that it hurt you more than what you let on. You can’t be too hard on yourself, it isn’t your fault, but that of fate’s. It has a cruel sense of humor, I know.” Despite their differences, Nemesis loved her for what she was and he was sure there was a way to rid her of the pain inside. Perhaps Angela’s little vial would be the key to it. All that remained was getting his wife to drink it if she pleased. A snide chuckle escaped his lips,
“I know you did. I remember how excited you were when you wished for me to sire you a child. I have no worries over being damned- that has happened many times back in my former life. One more won’t break me. And she’s smart enough to know that I’m the last person she wants to start something with.” It was a subtle matter-of-fact, not that he wasn’t going to pull anything but she was smart enough not to push him into such boundaries because he would go along with it. He handed her the vial and watched as she undid the cork and drinked the bit of contents in it.
“How do you fe…” He perked up as he noticed her eyes and how out of it she became. Nemesis sought to catch her as the words came into his ears. It sounded like Angela’s voice and he held onto Celeste's body as it went limp. He could still feel her in this world though so she had only lost consciousness. He looked around them but there was naught but themselves here.
“Tomorrow…right.” Now having her in both arms, he picked her up and carried her away as a portal materialized that lead them directly to their bedroom. He settled her into the bed before undressing and climbed into it himself. Sleep was the last thing on his mind as every now and then he checked to make sure that she was stable.

Nemesis came down to her level as he put an arm around her. She gave him a frown just as much as he gave one to her. “I know you didn’t… if you did it would have been so much harder to try and forgive myself for. No, this is something entirely of how I feel about myself.”
It was an old wound. Something that they had tried very early on and never got. She never got over it and sometimes her nightmares were plagued with the dying cries of her children. “What could she want from us for such a gift?” There were so many things that went through her mind and yet she didn’t know the woman enough to completely understand what she could have been going for. Still though… this gift that she offered was huge for Celeste.
Her crimson eyes watched the box now in his hands. “I know that, this is merely how I feel about myself… I feel like I have let you down in my own way. Constantly something is wrong with me.” It was hard to argue how frail she could be around those of their kind she was lucky to have age and wisdom on her side. She heard him plop down on the ground and yet she did not move and all she could do was watch him.
“You know how I am. Even if something is bothering me I don’t tend to show it… I don’t cry or whine. I deal with it and I lock it away in the back of my mind. I pour myself into my work and I don’t dwell on it. I get nightmares and cold sweats and that is maybe the only time you would know. It took you how long to get things out of me before? You not noticing… there was nothing to notice. I hide things too damn well for my own good.” She finally moved and pressed her lips to his forehead. “If you were a moon elf… You would be just as cursed as I am or dead.” She put her nose into his hair and closed her eyes for a few moments. “I like you the way you are. It is my body that is the problem.”
Finally she pulled back and she tilted her head as she looked at him. “You know that I do. You know that I always have from the moment Sera said she didn’t want to.” There was a fire in her eyes as he held the vial up to her. “I worry about this damning you… I can only imagine what she will ask of you… Or if she hurts you.” She doubted it but she shook her head. This Angela did not seem the type of person to hurt him but she didn’t know the goddess like Nemesis did. “All we can do is try I suppose.”
She took the small bottle and felt like she was going to break it as she popped the cork out of it. The small vial was the oddest looking thing. It didn’t look like there was even a drop in there. Was it that strong? She was worried about it falling out but soon she put it to her lips and drank it in. It felt so warm… It felt unnaturally warm. Her eyes looked dazed as they began to close and she looked tired.
“Take her home Nemesis. Sleep tonight. Tomorrow we discuss the deal.” It was almost like the goddess had been waiting for this moment. The message was clear as Celeste passed out and perfect wind caught her enough to blow her right into him. “Sleep.”

Nemesis couldn’t help but to tilt his head at her; Celeste was reserved and quiet but even so, he had never seen this side of her before. Frankly he was genuinely concerned over what was eating at her. Other than the moon crisis, there seem to be something much more deeper to her hidden pain. Slowly he turned fully towards her and inched his way into her personal space.
“A visitor?” His eyes followed her body language as he pondered the thought of someone that may have hurt her. It would had meant certain death to disrespect his wives in any way. Nemesis waited to hear more about the visitor but then Celeste reached for her belly. He blinked and only as she was piecing together the words she wanted him to hear did he manage to spell out what was bothering her. Eyes lowered onto the ground as he knew that it was one pain that he couldn’t alleviate her of- she had wanted to children ever since they got together. It hadn’t bothered him to even consider that want before but with Sera’s…lack of desire towards being a mother, it had only made sense that Celeste and he would try. He was there for each time their efforts ended in failure but he had never considered her to be one. It was just one occurrence after another in which the child would not survive long enough inside her or they would be ill. It would be awhile before she gave up and they stopped. But now those old wounds were opened up again- why?
Nemesis draped his arm around her and lowered himself onto a knee. His face looked to her with a deep frown,
“I never believed you to be such a thing, my little wolf.” He still didn’t know what any of this had to do with the visitor until she told him.
Aaryona. What in the devil was she doing at their doorsteps? He would have asked but then she mentioned that the girl’s mother had something that could “fix” her and he stood back up. What was Angela scheming for this time? There was a wooden box taken from her person and he stared at the vial that was now between her fingers. It was so small and slender that any wrong move could result in it breaking. And yet it was to solve their problem? His arms crossed against his person tightly,
“That’s Angela for you. I suppose she has something that lets her know these sort of things. I do know that there must be a price for this- she hardly does anything for free, if anything.” He still recalled the mirror she gave him and the promise to not mess with Raeguel. Not that he was bothered as much as to mess with his former self. Right now there were some bigger matters to deal with.
The box and its contents soon found themselves in his welcoming hands.
“Celeste, your value exceeds that of just baring me children. If that had been my goal, we wouldn’t be having this conversation, no?” His voice was stern but only because he wasn’t liking the toll this situation had on her.
“The Moon Curse will be solved at some point, and Sera was wrong back then. She hardly cared unlike now.” Nemesis fell back onto the ground in a seated position beside her, careful as to not drop the box so firmly grasped in his hand.
“Still, I should have known that this was bothering you for as long as it had. Perhaps I have not been the ideal husband for you. Certainly had I been a moon elf, we wouldn’t have this problem.” For him, it didn’t matter but a child, an heir would have been helpful to have should anything happen to him. There had to be another to carry on the growing legacy.
“If there’s anything life had taught me, it’s this- do not focus on the “what ifs” and “maybes”, and seize the opportunity. Tell me, Celeste, do you really wish for this? Do you wish to have a child of mine?” He opened up the box and held the vial up to her,
“If you really want it, then you have to take what you desire and make it yours. Whatever payment is necessary, then I will pay it.”

His voice didn’t surprise her. He had been worried about her a lot since the situation in Adeluna. Celeste was not a fragile flower that could be easily withered but she was fragile compared to most of the more advanced races. Her crimson eyes flickered over to him and she tilted her head. “Over two thousand years… I think.” It was almost a whisper as the answer left her lips.
Normally she would not dwell on this place but something was eating at her. Normally she could push the thought away but she considered herself a failure in many ways when it came to Nemesis. She did not dishonor the family, no, she had made it stronger alongside him. That was not where she failed him.
“I had a visitor while you were out,” it was abrupt but it wasn’t meant to cause concern. “It just has made a lot of things enter my head…” Her hand went to where her womb lie and her fingers twitched just a bit. “It does bother me you know… Sera might be alright with the fact that she doesn’t want to add to the number of the family but…” It was a hard subject for her.
Many times had her and Nemesis tried. It wasn’t that she couldn’t that wasn’t it. Often times her body was too frail to carry his much larger child. It was a taboo thing that they had tried. She had remembered being told the consequences of trying to carry a child from a larger species other than her own. It made her saddened. She had often lost the child after a few months and when she didn’t… When she was able to bring a child to term, it was too sickly and often plagued with something different. They lost many children trying to find a way around it and when she couldn’t take the number of losses, she just quit trying. “It makes me feel like a failure of a wife. I can’t even get the damn moon curse off of me. I can’t bare your child or even make a healthy one.”
Her fingers were shaking but she did not cry. “So today when our visitor came I was a bit taken back by her words.” She turned her crimson eyes up to her husband and frowned. “That she had something that could fix me. Those weren’t her words they are mine. It was the Draconis girl but what she had wasn’t from her but her mother.”
From the little pocket of her dress, she took out a small wooden box. Popping the lid open there was a tiny crystal vial inside. There was a bluish looking liquid sloshing about. “She had this. I don’t know what it is. I don’t dare try to figure it out, it’s so small that I don’t know… I don’t know if I tried to figure it out if it would waste it. The girl said that her mother gave her specific instructions to tell me that it was a shame that someone couldn’t know motherhood. The girl said she didn’t have a clue what her mother met and that she just assumed that I would know. That woman would know my problem… Wouldn’t she? That’s what she does? Why would she want to fix someone she doesn’t know?”
Her hands were shaky and she quickly shut the box before she dropped it. It was in Nemesis’s hands now. “Take it. I feel like I would break it and watch thousands of years of suffering flash back if I broke that vial. I just want to know what to do… so I came here to clear my thoughts. I don’t know why here. I don’t know why I was drawn here.” She ran her fingers through her hair and found a place to sit down. “It’s bad enough with the Moon Curse… but everything else that I can’t do for you… It makes me feel like I have failed you in some way. Maybe Sera was right all that time ago…” Maybe he shouldn't have kept her around. There were no more tears that she could find. They had been gone for centuries.

As he had learned long ago, the thrill of a hunt never ceased once the chase was through. Nor was it when the satisfying sound of the prey’s heart faded into nothingness and gave away to silence. No, it was when the last few drops of crimson liquid flowed into his mouth and the husk was all that remained did he feel truly alive. Ironic it was that it was from the end of life that made the hunter feel like his was back. A large wolf of white stood among smaller, normal sized wolves that were ripped apart. They had been foolish to try and challenge him, even with their numbers to his lonesome. One of them did get a good shot at him; his own blood seeped from a gashing wound at the side of his face. Not that it mattered but it only made Nemesis’ need to destroy stronger. And more violent from the gruesome scene and he left them as they were close to the woodline and made the trek back home. Before he reached the door, he shifted and entered the manor. His nude form stained somewhat by blood of his own and his enemies and a servant was waiting near by and hand him a large damp cloth. Nemesis took it and started to clean him before he noticed that she was hesitant about something.
“Where’s Celeste?” She slowly answered that she had departed from here and gated somewhere away before handing him his wares. Nemesis quickly got dressed and sighed.
“And no exact location?” She shook her head and he waved her away in dismissal.
It was out of the norm for his little wolf not to let him know where she would be heading. That meant that something was wrong and he pondered for a moment as to where she’d would go that she wouldn’t want to be followed. After sometime, he thought about her homeland, the place where he had found her so long ago. If anything, he would be sure that she was there. Likely because of the moon incident which plagued her ever since. Creating his own gate, the vaewolf took his leave and stepped onto the grounds that once belonged to the moon elves. The place held no memories for him other than Celeste nor did he wish to remember anything of it. A strong lesson in his life had been that one must move forward and never get caught up in the past. As much as he’d hoped she would follow the same concept, her situation made it nigh impossible to achieve and he couldn’t blame her for it.
It took little time for him to reach the remains of her home and sniffing her out, he was able to locate her. He knew that it still bothered her to some degree that she was forced to wipe out the traitors that had the audacity to once call themselves kin to her. Their betrayal only lead to their demise and her securing a spot by his side. Both of those events lead for the moon elves’ legacy to be lost forever. Still, he held no smile across his handsome face as he slowly approached. His footsteps were loud enough for her to sense and he barely slid right on by her as he moved further ahead.
“It’s been a long time since we been on this region. How long has it been again?” He turned around and gave her a inquisitive look,
“What’s been eating at you this eve? I know that something’s wrong when you up and leave the house without warning.”

In the depths of darkness is there really a way to scale the walls out? When it finally does swallow you whole… will the light even attempt to reach you? When are you really lost? Lost is such a subjective term to begin with… Just because you don’t know where you are or where you are going… doesn’t mean that’s not the place you want to be. Sometimes it’s the exact place you need to be to find out who you are or who you were meant to be.
What happens when that person you were meant to be is so deep into the darkness you have to drown to reach it. Two thousand years of drowning. So much blood. So many dead. So much shouting and not enough quiet. Then in an instant… it all goes silent. Is the shouting in her head? Celeste didn’t know the answer but she had thought maybe it had been Seraphina running her mouth again. The voices didn’t sound like her… It made her interest die a bit as she contemplated in this new silence what exactly it was she was hearing.
They were familiar voices but not completely remembered voices. The pits that she had thrown her memories in before lighting them on fire seemed oddly whole. It was distressing to say the least. Moving from her seat she moved over to the giant window that had been built into her alchemy study. She pulled the heavy curtains back and peeked outside to the gray skies, the empty courtyard, and in general the tossing ocean waves that were not so far off in the distance.
In these simple little moments she was reminded of where she came from, but she did not know her final destination. Honestly, it was almost too perfect the way things were. However, these shattered memories and the horrifying screams were filling her mind on this eve. Fingers combed through her long washed out pink hair. Vacant red eyes were glued onto the tossing waves now. She chewed on her lip if only for a moment before leaving her study. “I’m going out please inform my husband that I don’t know when I’ll be back.”
There had been pleading with her and she had looked back almost too casually. “I’m not going to get lost. I’ll be here in Parvpora just tell him not to worry.” But he would worry, because that was what he did when she was cryptic. There was almost a slam when she closed the manor door behind her. It took a little bit of nothing for her to form a portal to nothingness. Or rather that’s what she made it seem like. No one needed to know where she was going.
The summit of Zujiuchu never changed. In the two thousand years she had been living, it had never once wavered. Perhaps like grass the mountains grew or shrunk with time but she couldn’t tell. The summit was still losing its snow as she tracked through. Her bare feet leaving a trail as her dress whipped with the wind that came with the top of the mountain.
Aersiir, an explorer’s paradise. This place had been the eye of so many in the years since the mysterious disappearance of the inhabitants. A smile would have come to her lips if she had been in her ‘right’ mind. Instead red eyes looked over the crumbling buildings. The star statues and the moon statues were in generally good condition. She could see with the wind blowing that there were specks of rubble that would slowly come down from them. Aersiir architecture knew how to withstand time and the mountain.
Her eyes slid off to the side as she thought she had heard something in the deserted crumbling village. Who would have come to ruins at this time? During this time of the year? Her nose could still smell the blood that was rooted into the land. The blood of her family, the others who had betrayed her, and she thought she could smell the ashes of the only one who had a true grasping of who she had been. The corner of her lip twitched.
Why was she here? Why did she feel lost this time? It was frustrating the small woman as she balled her hands up and stood there in the center of the deadland.
