This place was a nightmare. Not a single intelligent soul was to be found. Instead, she had to use her sense of hearing to avoid the droning hum of some kind of insect home, and countless other unknown creatures. Raziel stumbled yet again, falling to her hands and knees. Her lavender hair was tangled, snowy wings drooped, and her spirits were at an all time low. If she could somehow manage to get off this gods forsaken island…

The angel had been on a boat, feeling sick with the rock and sway of the water. Never again did she want to travel by sea, resigning herself to always travel by land or sky-boats as she called them. A storm began to rage, and she had fallen overboard, abandoned to the sea's whim. This was how she made it onto this land. For the first time in her life, she cursed her disability of sightlessness. How much easier would it be if she could see?

Something behind her growled. As fear became a silent scream in her throat, Raziel forced herself up. She ran, arms held straight ahead of her. Why did these things always happen to her now? It seemed that the whole world was out to get her. From bandits, to pirates, nature, and vicious animals. "Anybody!" The angel prayed that someone, anyone, was out there listening, and willing to help her out of this pickle that she has found herself in once more.

Nameless was strolling through the thick forest once again. His recent master had died, so he seeked another. Even though he served nobody, he didn't feel free. He longed for a purpose. He tried to fill the void by helping animals. Building shelters, removing boulders, and even acting as transportation. But he knew only a being that served as a master would help him. And maybe finally bring him peace.

That's when he heard the scream. A cry for help. Nameless quickly moved towards the voice. He stumbled across a small winged creature. Nameless hadn't encountered one before, but she seemed harmless. The creatures chasing her however, were not. Nameless stood between the angel and the creatures, ready to fight if necessary. He quickly turned to the angel. "Are you alright?" His voice was low and robotic, like someone speaking through a metal sheet. 

Her stomach lurched into her throat, a weightless and unsettling feeling as her toes lodged into a hole, causing her to fall flat on her face once again. Something was making the ground shake, the vibrations getting closer. Each step flashed color across her normally black vision, outlining the world around her. Trees, shrubs, little animals. Two horribly large creatures were approaching her.

One was a humanoid golem of stone, a creature she had only briefly heard about once from a book her mother read. The other, farther back, was a large lizard like creature, about the same height as the golem. It had two shorter legs protruding from its chest, with large spines emerging from the crown of its head all the way down to its tail. The talons on every phalanges looked sharp enough to shred her to pieces. 

As she cowered where she had fallen, it surprised her to realize that the golem was actually placing itself between her and the horrific monster, asking about her welfare. "Not really, no." Whatever was approaching let out a deafening roar. Fear renewed, Raziel went to scramble up, but screamed as she fell once more, her ankle unable to take her weight.

Nameless watched the lizard-like creature came closer. When the small angel replied, he turned around to face her. He picked her up, walked a ways, then set her down on a giant rock. "Stay here" he told her. He turned back to face the creature. The talons and spines were not a threat to a golem made of stone, but the weight was different. It obviously weighed more, so crushing stone would be easy for it.

Nameless grunted. He knew that the creature would crush him like he crushed the ground beneath his foot-like rocks. He wasn't going to give it the chance. Nameless charged at the creature headfirst, only to crumble and fall apart at the creature's feet. The rocks continued to move, and Nameless rebuilt himself behind it. He wildly swung at the creature, hitting it hard at the legs and sides.

The angel let out a small, startled squeal when she was abruptly picked up. For being a golem, his features feeling quite hard and smooth as stone, he was surprisingly gentle. Raziel was in such shock, she couldn’t think beyond sitting there and blinking. As creature and stone went to fight, their every action ensured she saw everything with her new odd ability to sense vibrations.

Whatever the golem was, it certainly had a unique way to deal with something larger than itself. The creature screamed in pain as it fell. Immediately, it scrambled to get its feet back underneath itself, only to find itself unable to put weight upon the now injured leg. With an angry roar at the rock, it turned and limped off.

Raziel, in the meantime, recovered her senses enough to remove her boot and gingerly touch her ankle. There was no breaks, she knew that already, but it seemed she had twisted it in her haste. Reaching into her pack, she pulled out some cloth and began to tightly wrap it around the ankle. ”Thank you, for scaring that thing off. Do you know the way to the nearest town? I got tossed overboard and came ashore far from where we were supposed to dock.”
