Located to the far South East of the continent, the Azure Ruins of Naebele are not a place to visit for the faint of heart.

Floating high in the sky above the waters, these Ruins are from an ancient and now forgotten civilization. What is known is that they had a mastery over the primal magics, more specifically wind and air magic. The whole of the city is, quite literally, floating on clouds. These clouds are ever refreshing themselves by drawing water from the ocean below, however, while it is known that primal magic is at work, what has not yet been discovered is how this process had been going on for centuries if not millennium. Researchers over time have come and gone to try and reveal how the clouds keep the buildings in the air and how the clouds keep themselves formed. But none have cracked the case and it doesn't look like it will happen in the foreseeable future.

The city and the buildings themselves are a marvel to explore, if a bit dangerous. The azure colour of the stones(of which the kind is not known either) used is splendid and even to this day much of it is a vibrant as the day it was created, and at certain angles with the right conditions whole buildings can seem to almost totally blend in the background of the blue sky. The buildings are in fairly good condition still, a statement to whatever kind of stone was used in their construction. Some floors have seen better days so watch your step and buildings along the edges of the clouds take the brunt of the weather damage so they too are crumbling. But the more into the middle of the city you go the better the buildings, yet, nothing lives here, not even birds. It's like they know something.

The whole city just has an unnerving feeling to it, aside from the whole walking on puffy clouds thing with nothing truly solid under your feet. As you explore you may see shadows move out of the corner of your eye, or feel a tingle up your spine. Some explorers have come back with scratches all over their bodies but had not come into contact with anything or anyone that could have done so. Others have gone to the city to explore and when they arrive back home they find that they have been gone for days, or even months, while for them it was only a day or a few hours. In rare cases people haven't returned at all, the assumed answer is that they made a misstep and fell all the way to their deaths in the ocean far below. Yet in the back of some peoples' minds that isn't the case, they believe something else and won't speak of it, let alone go back into the city itself.

Despite it's bright and sunny features Naebele is a haunting city to be in for any length of time. Rumours of treasures still to be found have and always attract people to the city until the day it finally collapses into the ocean. Until then, ask yourself; are you afraid of heights?
