Located off the coast of the Kikuyu wetlands, the Malagasi Islands are both the largest and most vibrant of the Xhosa Archipelago. The soil of these islands are rich in minerals, one of the largest concentrations in Onnen. The flora and fauna of Malagasi exhibit distinct physical differences compared to that of neighboring islands, likely due to the presence of these minerals. Large veins of crystal growth run throughout the islands and brooks of mineral water welling up from gemstone springs feed the life residing there. The sap of the local trees when dried become clear amber in a broad spectrum of colors and are prized among potters in their liquid form as a high-quality glaze. The ruling tribe of Malagasi are the Jauhari, a proud society with a strict hierarchy. The people of the Jauhari are humanoid beings made of minerals, with veins of color running through their bodies much like the islands they inhabit.

The society of the Jauhari is divided into distinct categories according to the properties of one's minerals. Jauhari main settlements are surrounded by dense jungle on all sides, situated within a large crater left by the impact of an ancient meteorite.The tribe has built their most important buildings around major sites of meteoric impact and guard lesser ones fiercely. These impact sites hold great religious significance to the Jaubari. Malagasi architecture is very geometric in design, incorporating repeated patterns in lattices and arches. Their shapes are modeled after the forms and shapes of naturally occurring crystal growth. The prism and facet are some of the most fundamental shapes in Malagasi architectural design. Their buildings are completely constructed from stone and fossilized timber from trees that have slowly solidified from gradual absorption of the islands' mineral-laden spring water.

The Malagasi islands are home to many species of exotic plants, birds, and insects. All of them bear jeweled tones from the primal magic in the environment. The trees in particular undergo a gradual process of petrification until the tree itself is a singular column of mineral. The process of petrification is slow, allowing the trees to bear fruit and sow seeds until the eventual end of their life cycle. As a result, the trees harvested for Jauhari construction are never live ones. The carapaces of the insects who feed off these trees are exceptionally hard and lustrous, making them ideal for jewelry. Artisans avidly collect the fallen shells of jewel beetles after molting season. The flowers and leaves of the local flora are glossy and iridescent with a slight plasticity. The mineral properties of the island springs have also affected the aquatic populations living close to the shores, resulting in fish with shimmering scales and crystal-clear bodies.

Underground there are large caverns where the springs' mineral waters flow and form massive crystal growths. The stalagmites and stalactites can reach up to several meters in length and weigh several tons. They resonate with the power that resides within the earth and are used by practitioners of magic to amplify and focus energies. The caverns are vast and winding, making it easy for spelunkers unfamiliar with the cave system to lose their way. The source of the gemstones springs that feed the islands originate here. The spring water glows softly, illuminating the caverns around them. Crystal fish live in the pools and often go unnoticed due to their translucent bodies. Very little flora is present due to the massive overgrowth of crystal covering the caverns' surfaces.
