Vilpamolan City Main Description
Located at the tip of the eastern peninsula, Vilpamolan was originally settled to be a center for trading between the northern and southern travel routes of the Adeluna Empire. Eventually, the Madagor tribes from the nearby mountains laid siege to the city, and the Empire of Adeluna all but abandoned the outpost.
With no authority to govern the remaining people, the city of Vilpamolan became a dark oasis for pirates, thieves, runaways, and riff-raff. When the Empire of Adeluna gave up on the settlement, exiles, and dissidents along with revolutionaries from all over finding refuge there. Rather than facing another siege from the Madagor people to the south or the elves to the north, the people who made their homes in Vilpamolan struck deals with their neighbors. Decades later, Vilpamolan once again had a thriving economy, albeit a bit shady.
With life returning to Vilpamolan, the Empire took notice of the city once more, viewing it as nothing more than a nuisance. The town falls into a number of districts, each run by a different pirate lord. They take matters into their own hands. The once regal mansions of the city have fallen into disrepair, but remain a reminder of the power of their defensive positioning. Alliances and agreements with different factions run strongly throughout the city. Conflict is fairly regular and ends in much bloodshed, it is generally restricted to disagreements between one or two groups.
Though numerous people have expected Vilpamolan to collapse on itself, it continues to thrive, the melting pot of cultures and loose ethics creating a colorful city.
