“And why aren’t we telling the Wintercrests?”, Reaver asked sternly with arms crossed.
“Because if I send her back, she’ll likely kill herself or that old fool. I care little to entice Toya’s temper”, the god explained as he shuffled through paperwork. “I’d get Kaiser to help, but then Nerezza would squeeze it out of him and then…well you met her. All those Rosenites women love to talk. Same reason why I haven’t told Angela.”
“You plan on keeping it from her?”“Until she gets a better grip of her magic. Then maybe I’ll let her know. Right now the only people that know are the two of us and Maalik. This is beside the point- you are someone that had much experience in this craft. Even more than I, despite my position empowering me. You have trained others before, so what is one more?”
Reaver rolled his eyes; he had better things to do, he felt but considering that it was Nemesis that requested it and that Paige was like them, he supposed that he could give this a try.
“Alright then. Hope she is a quick learner.”Nemesis lifted his gaze enough to look at his brother, “More than likely. She has talent, though it will be her temper you’ll have to get past.” He gave his brother a look and Reaver’s eyes narrowed.
“And what’s that suppose to mean? I’m mild mannered.” “Perhaps before the change you were; these days speak different.” He didn’t like how the god was poking fun at his aggressiveness that lurked when someone pissed him off or something stupid happened. Was it his fault that tended to happen often around him?
“Any case, the sooner you finish with your teachings, the faster you can get distracted by Yelena. Oh, and with that, you’re higher ground over me about cradle robbing will cease, won’t it?”
Again the priest looked at him with mild annoyance.
“Yeah sure. I’ll get this done, asshole.” He waved him off and went to where he would be meeting Paige.

The lessons had been going smoothly, too smooth for him to understand the challenge behind it. Paige seemed like a natural aside from a couple of stumbles. He had yet to see her when her blood boiled, and hopefully they would keep with that tempo to the end.
Today they would closing in on manifesting the shadows into physical items and weapons. A piece of cake, he would believe as he marched over to the gardens. The young lady’s little sanctuary, she tended to be here whenever the time would allow. His footsteps would give away his presence, though there wasn’t a thought to conceal himself. If Reaver wanted, he would simply slip into the shadow plane and surprise her, but that seemed like a decision unfavorable to either party.
“Good eve, Paige.” He stood some feet away and looked over towards the lilies. “Tending to them again? Well I hope you are ready. This exercise will see if your focus will be intact to manifest the darkness and mold as you see fit.”

It hadn’t been long since she got situated in her new surroundings; it was fortunate that Nemesis had allowed her to sate her curiosity of his realm and venture as much as she wanted. She wasn’t a prisoner by any means, not exactly anyway. But Paige had agreed to remain until she had a better grip over her emotions and more so her power. Nyxbloom was something of an oddity; a place where light and dark entwined. Races of all sorts intermingled together in this society. It was a long foreign concept to Revaliir and she found it soothing. Her preference was towards the evening side of things. She had been in the gardens, cupping one of the lunar lilies that just bloomed. She felt the smallest of magics coming from it as she felt at its petals. It wouldn’t be long before she was pulled back into her training; her teacher had been nothing if punctual from the very moment they were introduced. Nemesis himself was far too busy or at least aloof about wanting to be the one that she learned under, plus his own magic was strengthened by his divinity so it came more naturally than hers.
