The Statue


It was a peaceful day in Elysia. The temperature was just right, and Xeik found himself wandering the brilliant rainbow beach, watching the waves crash against the shore. The sound was something that relaxed the Divine Mender, and brought peace to him. It was the perfect way to take a break from all the work he did.

I never really questioned why Angela made the ocean into stars, he mused to himself. His Goddess had her quirks, some of which he barely understood, yet he could not deny that she had an eye for beauty and art. The rainbow glass shards that made up the beach reflected against the starry ocean in a way that was near indescribable. It was truly breathtaking.

“Angela really is good at this sort of thing,” he said aloud. He smiled as the twilight mist sprayed into the air. Often he would bring Myrri and Mia here as well to enjoy the serenity, but today it was just him. It had been a particularly busy week in the clinic, and he couldn’t help but enjoy the simplicity of being alone with his peace and quiet.

Of course, peace and quiet was a relative term. At any moment anything could happen here. It was one of the few things Xeik had adjusted to. There was never a dull moment when it came to Angela and her realm.
