Serafina was entirely aware that she and Angela Rose had different… outlooks on life. Perhaps, the only similarity between the two was the connection to Nemesis. Nevertheless, she knew that having a good rapport with the elder goddess was necessary, and it was something she herself wanted. Dalanesca and Angela Rose had been the best of friends, showing that such opposing spheres could still complement one another. Now, she did not expect for such a relationship to flower with the goddess, not a relationship such as theirs had been – but she did hope that there could at least be cordiality, if not more.
When the idea of visiting Angela seriously popped into her head, a small red string had appeared around her finger. She had to chuckle at it – it was a neat trick, if nothing else, but she suspected it was far more than a trick – perhaps it was Angela’s way of controlling who could enter and who could not?
As Serafina traveled to Angela’s realm, she took in just how truly beautiful it was. Of course, it was entirely different from her own, which was to be expected as they were on opposite ends of the spectrum, but it held a curiosity to it that she felt while in her own realm. She could seen the millennia of Angela’s history woven into its creation, from the paintings to the architecture itself. She would have to be sure to compliment her décor when she was able to finally hold audience with her.
Her mindless wandering and admiration throughout Dashuri Palace seemed to put her in a sort of trance, and before she knew it, she had traversed the path that led her through the grounds and to Angela Rose’s throne room. While yes, this had been her destination, she hadn’t spent any time on what she was going to say to Angela if she was granted audience with her. ‘Hi, heard you’re married to my maker’ didn’t have a very catchy ring to it, and she wasn’t about to ask her to have a slumber party so they could braid one another’s hair. No, what she was looking for wasn’t even necessarily camaraderie or friendship, but more than anything a mutual understanding and respect.
Just as she and Sirona had now come to terms with one another, it only made sense for her to continue expanding her cordial relationships with the other gods. Nemesis was no issue, of course, as no matter what the two would always reconcile their differences, and Sirona was well underway. That left Shiloh and Angela, and from the brief knowledge Serafina had of Shiloh, it seemed as though earning some semblance of trust with her would take more work than with Angela. They were all equally important, however, and that was what had led Serafina down the figurative path she was now on.
She looked around the throne room, taking in its beauty. After a moment, she cleared her throat, speaking to absolutely no one in the room, though she was sure that Angela would have some way of listening, if not her than for one of her many family members or others who had to be scattered throughout the realm.
”I am Serafina Volkov, goddess of Death and Debauchery, seeking audience with Angela Rose,” she said calmly, and stood her ground, awaiting some sort of sign that her request had been heard. She didn’t know what to expect, and braced herself for anything.
