Rarely would Shiloh visit another member of the Conclave in their own temple, but today was a very special exception. Right now she was angry. Very, very angry. Angry enough to commit unspeakable, horrible acts from the sheer anger. She was barely keeping herself together by actively interrupting her own emotional thought processes every few seconds just to maintain some semblance of sanity. Humans were creatures of habit, and trying to act 'presentable' was one that she did her best to follow for the sake of others. Why was she here again? Right, to speak with Angela. She needed to speak with Angela, preferably in person–immediately. The sooner the better before she or something in the physical world exploded. When the first person who was part of the elder goddess' clergy entered her sights, she grabbed hold of them while making a very forced smile. "I'd like to speak with Lady Angela, please. It's very urgent. If she's currently busy, what time will she be available?" Anyone who knew Shiloh would know that she was most certainly
not alright from the way she was speaking. Formal speech was only used in a few situations: business and extreme emotional states of anger or distress.
It was supposed to be a normal work week when she did her routine rounds of cleaning the areas surrounding her teleportation obelisks. Despite their mundane purpose, for some reason people started treating them as shrines to ask for favors or to make confessions. One of said obelisks had a young woman sobbing and venting on the rock about how her life was ruined and that everything she had believed up until now had all been a lie. Shiloh planned to approach her to direct her to the nearest confessional booth in a city when she heard the lady mention the cause of her misfortune. Typically people who started ranting would blame other people, wail about how bad their luck was, or blame her for making their lives miserable. Then they would usually either curse her out or beg for something that was completely unrealistic. This time however, the weeping supplicant said she was the product of an infant swap with the fey–but instead of a fey being swapped with a human baby, there had been a swap of two human children. The rest of the details were about how the woman found out about her true birth parents and the grief of realizing that she was not a child of her 'mother' and 'father'.
But Shiloh had heard enough, and that airing of grievances lit a fire underneath the deity in a way few things could, driving her to investigate who started this mess. Several diviners were consulted, victims were visited, and information was coming together. Now there was only one last step before she would make the final decision. And that decision required her to ask a small favor from the goddess of life. Yes, she would be putting herself in debt to Angela for granting her clearance on what she was going to do. That was something unavoidable, especially when the request would impact the fates of certain souls before and after death. To be honest it would've been easier to go with violence, but after weighing the pros and cons, a non-violent approach would give the least amount of backlash from third parties. She had to consider how it could affect her family, even if she didn't care about people targeting her.
Due to taking things personally, Shiloh didn't want to pass on the message through word of mouth by a staff member–or Raine, Angela's avatar. She hadn't had the chance to meet her new champion yet, so she didn't want to bother them with it either.
