I'll go ahead and introduce the youngest son, Kolvar, and his wolf, Sabrione.
Kolvar is an exceptionally gifted ice mage, and is dedicated to using his powers to help the Pack. He's picked up some of his father's playfulness, but he's also got a serious streak from his mother - Kolvar knows when it's time to stop joking around and work hard, and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. He can be a bit too work focused, and has a serious case of tunnel vision when set on a goal. It can take a lot to break him out of this, which is where Sabrione comes in. She's bit of a goofball, liking to run and play, though no-one can doubt he loyalty to Frostgarde and her Rider. She's nearly the only one who can snap Kolvar out of his intense focus, and remind him not to work himself to death, because then who would play with her?

In the beginning they were as one; known as the Allgarde they practiced the art of all the elements and worked only for the good of the Pack, moving across Revaliir as a nomadic tribe of Mages and their bonded Wolf companions. Every child at the age of 5 meets with the latest litter of Wolf pups to choose the one who will be with them for the rest of their lives - it is a mutual bond, Wolf and Human choosing the one they trust the most. Males choose females and vice versa with a few exceptions and when a Wolf chooses their Lifemate it is usually with a Rider who will become their Rider's Mate in the process - again there are a few exceptions to the rule, these relationships being extremely close rather than lovers but most end up paired for life.
Over the years the Pack began to drift from one another; certain families became better at one element rather than the others and in the end it split the Allgarde into separate clans all of whom went their own ways with their Alphas to lead them.

The Frostgarde

The Frostgarde are the Pack dedicated to the Element of Ice; proficient magic involving ice they like all of those from the original Allgarde Pack are nomadic - they spend more time in the ice and snow than anywhere else in Revaliir but do travel to hunt and trade where necessary. The Frostgarde are well known for their Mages and for the fact that out of all the Packs they tend to keep themselves to themselves - their numbers were severely depleted after a dispute with the Flamegarde and Thundergarde and now keep as far from the others as they can out of self preservation for the Pack.

The Alphas:

Anderyn: Anderyn is Alpha alongside his (now estranged) wife Coryanna. Once the Beta of the Pack until his marriage to Coryanna once his wife's Father's decision to step down he stepped into the Alpha position with her, he has always had the Pack's best interests at heart despite his playful nature. Carefree and cheerful Anderyn does not take life seriously; what is the point of being serious all of the time? That is no way to live life! It is one of the many factors that have created a rift between Anderyn and Coryanna though it was the death of their eldest son that pushed them over the edge. The pair constantly argue but when it is for the good of the Pack they are of one mind.
His Wolf is Amaya; usually calm and collected she is the voice of reason where Anderyn and her mate are concerned. Sleek and agile she is a stealthy killer - despite her size you will not hear this wolf coming.

Coryanna: The eldest daughter of the previous Alpha Cory was destined to lead the Pack once her Father stepped down; long before then she had fallen in love with the Beta Anderyn and married the man, mothering two sons who were her world. When she met Anderyn she was cheerful, carefree and very like her husband - after the death of her eldest son and the loss of her left eye during the war with the Thundergarde and Flamegarde her attitude changed; blaming herself and her husband for their lax attitude she believed that their way of life was flawed, that had they been more serious they would not have lost their son. As such Coryanna is more serious and no nonsense - she can be blunt and seen as icy but it is purely because her thoughts are always on how to protect the Pack from further losses and how to make themselves strong again. It is this that drove the greatest wedge between herself and her husband - Anderyn does not recognise his wife anymore and Coryanna hates that her husband does not take things seriously. Most would believe that the loss of her son would cause her to be overprotective of her youngest however Cory is more than aware of her son’s skills and while she worries she does not fuss - she trusts him.
Her wolf is named Sorrento; an extension of her seriousness SoSo (as she so fondly refers to him as) has a vicious streak a mile long and only Cory and Amaya can ever calm the anger that lingers in this massive Wolf’s heart. An excellent hunter he has no qualms about being first into battle.
