The Goddess meant well, Harker could understand that, but the way she was going about it was wrong. Admittedly Harker had intended to stay out of this fight… until the Druid Hunter had been given the job by Andrea, he couldn’t afford to turn down coin of any kind whether he agreed with the task or otherwise… well, that wasn’t true - Andrea knew what jobs Harker would not accept, not when innocent lives were involved, so she kept such things out of his way. He was better with monsters, and what better monster than these foreign, self-righteous angels now causing chaos. The more he thought about the situation the more he realised that Sirona’s attention would eventually turn to Andrea’s establishment, the woman had been good to him and he could not allow her to be harmed in any way. He had told her to leave, to find somewhere safe to hide out until the issue was dealt with. She was stubborn, and he had a feeling she would ignore him, but he had tried at least so he could rest easy knowing that.He had traveled to this place to collect himself an orb as instructed, he needed it to whittle away at the Goddess’ magic imbue day statue it seemed. A quiet life, that was what he really wanted, but in his line of work there was no such thing. The only decent thing about this situation was that he could feed off the Angels and the Anointed with very little guilt, not entirely no guilt, he still could not abide taking a life but needs must and his hunger was on the rise, soon it would be too much for him to bear let alone control… maybe some good could come of his curse after all. He saw others gathering their orbs and nodded to his fellows, he was not the only hunter here tonight nor would he be the last. Picking up his own orb he shoved it into his pocket and turned to leave, the fight would not take place here, and he could not linger…

Time and time again, Seo-hyang had to remind herself of why she came. While she was no longer an assassin for hire, those who still stayed with the House of Flowers were all very dear to her heart. And so when she heard the teahouse of a good friend had been attacked, she felt a terrible pain. That teahouse was no brothel; they only served food, drink, and allowed customers to request their favorite entertainers. But to them, it must all be the same. No one had seen those who had done it, but the descriptions of the actions made her suspect those who called themselves Anointed. She was not here for revenge, this was no retaliation for a vendetta. She, along with many more of her sisters, were here to challenge the light to protect their own. All flowers were beautiful, no matter if they bloomed at night or in day. This was the abiding rule of the House of Flowers. Whether you were a vampire, lycanthrope, or anything in between–there was always a place for you if you had nowhere else.

They would make the death march towards the statue in hopes of reaching it to put a stop to all of this. They had nothing to fear, after all they had nothing more to lose. Those who choose to become assassins learn that at any time their life could be forfeit. The only death they feared was a meaningless one. For the sake of their sisters, of those who the light had abandoned, they would sacrifice their very lives to create a world where no one would be shunned and thrown to the wayside. And if that world required both day and night–then so be it! Even the best of intentions can overlook those who had the greatest need. By no means was she a saint; she knew she her hands were already stained with blood. The moment she took her first life on order, she had crossed that invisible line. No matter how well she tried to justify it, nothing could wash away the wish that things could have been solved otherwise. They might have only chosen the worst victims, but they were still killers. And what the Anointed were now doing was no different.

She and her sisters were all instructed with one request–to reach the statue with their orbs by any means necessary. The world would be fighting against them, but they must try. For the sake of those who were innocent, for the sake of those who had no other place but the darkness. For the hope that there would one day be a world where no one would be hated and ignored at all. Not all who lived in darkness were heartless and evil. That was what they were going to prove to the angels and Anointed today.

The beautiful night had been forgotten and a burning light had decided to purge the world of all sin. That word stirred feelings of hatred from withing Ciara's heart. Purge. Although people would try to justify it, they could not separate the harm that it brought. To purge was to blame, destroy, and vilify. It meant that one person decided who was good and who was evil, who was right and who was wrong. It meant that death and torture would befall those who went against that person in power. That is what purging meant. But the thing that had truly bothered Ciara the most was what Sirona did to the night. She had taken away the darkness, and by doing that she hid the beautiful stars.

How many people had already died? From what she heard, the angels and creatures she had made only killed those who attacked it first. There was no mercy towards anybody who attacked first. While she ruined taverns, destroyed some's only way of earning money, and people. A religious hatred and fear spread throughout the world as the light obsessed nutcases wormed their way out of the cracks of society to take their place as warriors. There were even some random followers of this new ideal who were gathering up all those who were sinful, whether they be vampires or just a common woman accused of being a whore, and burning them along with their sins.

How many people had to die in order for the world to be good?

In the end, Ciara didn't want to pretend she was perfect. She wasn't. Her sins were as strong as the next but the difference was that she would never try to kill a person over their sins. Maybe for other reasons but not because they weren't good enough. So here she was, standing in the elephant graveyard to grasp these dark orbs. The witch doctors who lived in the area seemed to be preparing themselves or helping others get the orbs. It was so strange to her. The forces of evil and "darkness" uniting together against their common foe. Nobody particularly liked each other but it seemed that they all were willing to put aside their clan wars, factions, and arguments because Sirona was a far worse threat. It was fascinating. But now was not the time to be creating new songs out of their behaviors.

She had to get herself an orb.
