[OOC: Starting outside of this area for a few posts and then moving to it.]

The goblin screeched as it raised its little sword and started to run at the human who had attacked their camp site. It leapt into the air only to have an arrow drive itself into the goblin’s chest sending the little green skin flying back a few feet in a flailing mess as it went limp when it came to a stop. It joined the multiple other goblin corpses scattered around the area, and not all of them were adult warriors either. None of the goblin tribe had been spared in the slaughter that had been brought to them by the two humans.

At the Southern end of the island the goblins had formed a new home they had hoped to expand, having come over from the mainland. About twenty adults had come over, and they had started to establish the area they had chosen well. But then they had attracted the attention of the locals who lived on the island already and who wanted the little green skins off.

That was where the two humans came into the picture, they had been hired to route the goblins by any means necessary. Any chance at trying to end things peacefully failed, because they had never started. The humans had arrived with little warning just as twilight was falling on the land and attacked. At first from the shadows but then they charged in.

Riko grinned as the goblin he had just arrowed went flailing away in a heap. He could not pause for too long as another goblin charge him and Riko flicked his bow, snapping the bow together and forming it into a sword that he used to deflect the goblin’s spear before using his longer legs to step into the goblin’s defences and run it through.

”A decent fight, I suppose, eh, love?” He called over to his wife with a grin as he pushed the dead goblin from his sword and turned to see Belle and how she was fighting. He loved when he had a moment in a fight to watch her fight for a moment, the dance of death that she could do, thrilled him every time.

He had a few scrapes on him from when there had been more goblins and their numbers had been larger. But it did not take too long for the two experienced monster hunters to thin out the goblins and press their advantage. Was it fair that the goblins had young among them to protect? No, but, fair fights were for losers and the dead, and the Slade’s were neither of those things, so they used anything they could to their advantage. Besides their employers wanted all of the goblins routed, so razing the camp was certainly an option.

Riko watched Belle for a few moments before he got back into the fight when one of the last goblins attacked him. They had gone feral once their young had been slaughtered, which was good, since it meant that they would all fight to the death instead of trying to run away.
