Well, that solved that - it did not take long for the battle to end. He'd been in the middle of casting a spell - one imbued with as much 'positive' energy as his at times testy self could muster. But with magic still haywire just moments before the giant rabbit blew up, the spell went awry, instead leaving him dazed. And so as the thing exploded, he flew, unceremoniously skipping along the ground a few times - not unlike a rag doll, he might have noted with some small dark humour, were he watching and not the victim in question.
Ears ringing, he moved to sit himself up with his left hand, only to realize that for some reason, this was no longer an option. Blinking back to awareness, he opted instead for using his right arm and, upon propping himself aright, found a most startling of discoveries: his skeletal limb was missing.
Well then.
Grunting in annoyance, he dragged himself to his feet. There, he swayed a moment or two before steadying, and once he had ascertained he could properly stand, he paused to ascertain the extent of the damage caused. Not too bad, he surmised, when compared to some world shattering events he'd been unlucky enough to witness, but… not great, either. The rabbit had certainly put up a good fight. Starting to pick his path through the debris, he eventually - by coincidence more than by design - came to stand near Mirannda and caught a glimpse of Angela and some unfamiliar gent scooping up the tiny familiar.
Here, he couldn't help a slight roll of his eyes. Angela. Of course it had to be deities. Half the time anything big happened, the gods seemed to be near. Now he was down a crappy book and, more importantly, an arm. And, to make matters more interesting… the woman next to him was on fire. Lovely. Come to think of it too, they were one summoner short, weren't they. He might've had a few questions for the turkey lady. And the dragon spectral who'd been clinging to him throughout the entire ordeal was missing, too. Hmph.
… Wait a minute. "H-hey! Are you all right?" After all, she looked confused and yet not in pain… And magic worked in mysterious ways. Still, judging from her reaction, it wasn't quite normal for her. Glancing at a few urns of water nearby then back at her, he frowned, but kept his relative calm. No need to aggravate the situation. "Do… you need something to put it out with?"
