Hello again Revalites!

Once again we bring to you another suggestion thread! This time we would love your suggestions for the Revaliir Wiki!

You can ask for anything history related, myths and legends, and more!

We can only try to make sure we get everything down for you if we have the information.

You can also ask for wiki pages on things that are confusing and you would like them clarified officially!

Travel time might be an idea, for major routes at least, like inter-continental sailing or airship passage,  major trade routes between cities etc. Would give people an idea of the scale of the areas they're rp'ing in and the kind of things which would fit in those areas. For example are Highlands in Canelux the size of the Grampian mountains in Scotland, or the Rockies in North America. 

I think Jenna said we have something like that in the works. I am not overly sure but I will make sure to find out!

A newbie guide in the wiki would be useful, I think. I see a quite a few common questions get asked by new people, and it would be helpful to everyone if we could simply link to the newbie guide for FAQs. It's something to think about, at least.

What sort of questions do you think need to be addressed?

I have to get driving out of town in just 15 minutes here, so I can't do an exhaustive list. The following are two are things that I think should be covered:

1. I've been asked if we have to submit any applications for custom races or to customize our character. A brief explanation would suffice for this to say that Revaliir is free-form and there are no applications so long as you remain in the rules.
2. The rule for account names could use some more elaboration, as that still seems to have confusion associated with it.

Basically, the newbie questions would just be common things that are asked repeatedly and would be updated as needed. It could also have a collection of useful links to forum areas.

So yesterday evening I took the time to read the entire wiki of Rev. and then wrote down all the questions I had about the Lore that I feel are either lacking in info or need clarification.


1) We can all assume that Revaliir has Fauna and Flora that are the same as on Earth (RL), but what about the exotic/native Flora and Fauna? Here and there we had a few examples like the Chaga (a type of goat). I think it would be handy to have a list of all those animals and plants that one can find on Revaliir, that way people don't have to search the lore to find those tiny pieces of information?

2) Not sure if you guys noticed this but the Article "Duchy of Egjora" is blank…. There's no text, just the article title. >.> Maybe this piece was meant to be deleted or hidden?

3) There was an article about the "linguistics" of the regions and Cities of Rev. In there you explained where you all got the inspiration about the language for said regions. Can we also assume that the culture, architecture, and fashion is similar to that particular Earth culture? Like per example the Harena region is said to be inspired by Eastern cultures. Does this mean that Harena and Arri have buildings that have an arabian flair? Or fashion of the same nature?

4) Speaking of Cultures, it would be nice to have a list of 'Native' races to Revaliir. Like we know that Revallir is a pretty open-minded when it comes to creating races, giving players the chance to either have a race that was transported through the portals OR choose to have their character be a native to Rev. Well, what about those natives? What is their culture like, their beliefs, their religion? In some Lore articles it shows several Human (oid) races that seem to indicate they have different cultures but not much detail is given about them? And I think it would help people to have at least a guideline to follow instead of everyone having their own interpretation of what culture their race has to avoid confusion, or being stuck in RP if both characters of the same culture meet but are still different?

5) Religions is something I feel is missing here. What kind of religions are there in Rev? Are they widely accepted? Are some shunned by society? To the point where one might be persecuted if they worshiped a type of cult?

6) Then some questions about the Rosenite Lore. In a section it is said that Willow fled to the desert with her 'children'. But then later it is said that Willow was with child of her first child when she found the oasis that would become Arri? So which is it? >.>

7) The Rosenite virus? The story spoke of Willow being infected with a virus due to a ritual gone wrong and that her allies noticed changes in her. What changes? What makes a rosenite a rosenite? And noting the theme of their names is all about flowers, does this mean the rosenites are plant people? or humans? It doesn't really explain what a rosenite is, except their culture. :3

8) There are 2 lists of deities in the wiki. Let's start with the past one. Are these a list of all the 'lore deities' or just Player-deities that retired from playing gods? And if they are lore-deities (or player, i know some are) then are they still active? Not rp-wise but lore-wise. Were these the gods from before the Timedeath?

9) Present deities, is this list complete? So far I've noticed that the only 'active' deities are the ones from Canalux. But what happened to those from Parv? In the lore we can read a bit how the Old Parv generation of gods were evil and then defeated by the godslayer because he wanted to replace it with a new generation of gods. So what where's the new generation? Because in the Player-deity rules there's a section that's for the Parv gods but I haven't seen any Parv-players that are active?

10) Some details about the Deities (player or other Lore-wise). So far the only thing we know about the gods is their titles. Meaning, we know what domain some of the gods control. But is there a religion associated with these gods? Or a cult? Is said god leaning more towards good or evil? Or are they neutral? So far most active gods i've seen tend to lean towards Good or neutral, but there's no one to represent the darker side of life/the world? What would be a common blessing/curse for each of those gods? 

it's little things like that. We know where the Canalux gods recide, in their realms/temples. And in it is plenty information on what their realm looks like and what you have to do to get in contact with the gods that inhabit it. And also, what made the World Tree decide to choose these people to become the new generation of gods? What events or feats have they done or participated in that gave them the reward to be a god? And why did the goddess Angela rose switch domains? Was she replacing someone for a little while?

Willow had many children she turned before going into the desert. She only naturally birthed 2 twin daughters which were her reasons for fleeing. 8ts why rosenites call her the matron mother.

Rosenites are a plant like race with vampire traits due to the vampires involvement in their creation. While they cab drink blood most see it as crude and not needed since it's the sun that heals them.

Since I'm their creator I am the only one who can sit down and write it out lol but I will try to get things settled on the wiki 

Egjoras thing is just a placeholder for now

It would take us ages to get a comprehensive list of flora and fauna not the same but perhaps we can make a list of the ones we've introduced?

It would be okay to assume that the inspiration for each area also means how the buildings are designed

The deities listed in past are mixed of pc and npc. Some are ancient from before th e tree fell. All of the ones listed from parvpora are deceased it is assumed all npc gods died in TIMEDEATH if they are listed in cane lux

Parvpore no longer has the ability to raise gods since it's tree g9t destroyed by parvs inhabitants the parvpora rule is only for God's that want their temple there and right now the only 9ne is century. Since all current gods are pc we may open applications again for new ones.

Most of our evil g9ds left earlier this year and no one else 9f that alignment has applied.

Angela killed her daughter when she ascended so the people saw her as depressed and her Domaine decayed abs wilted the living due to her mourning. Her domain switched when she was finally able to break free from those chains and the general population seen her as the mother who protects them
