Another night, another profit for Esme as she made her rounds about the Silver Kiss House, playing gracious hostess and making sure that both her workers and customers were enjoying themselves. Hardly would the establishment run into some rowdy times and whenever it would, she and her “help” would squash it as quickly as possible. But the clients were paying and the workers were tended to afterward, provided food, drink, whatever they required. Esme could be as gentle with her employees as she could play rough with those that broke the rules of the House.
This eve was a quiet one, something to her liking as she made her back to her office. One of her servants had a bottle of wine and glass prepared for her. Even her brother hadn’t been stirring up trouble lately, she thought to herself as she fell into her seat and waved off her guards to stand outside. The more she thought of it, the more she knew it was because he was distracted with her lover, who seemed to be taking to her surroundings well. Except for the “chest contraptions” and the “pointy shoes” which she simply snickered at before reaching for her glass, tasting the wine and proceeded to finish off whatever paperwork and the money count.
But of course, something would have to happen here- they were in Kurayo after all. This city wasn’t known for being peaceful for long periods of time and from the moment her ears caught the sound of some roughhousing, she let out an audible growl from her parting lips and immediately rushed out of the room. Downstairs, she reached the bottom just in time to see her men forcefully removing an older, half-naked man but her eyes then caught sight of Delilah, one of the lower vampires who was a bit more delicate then she needed to be. She carried some bruises on her face and chest and immediate she gave the man a death stare.
“Release him.”The men did as they were told and dropped him on the floor while Esme marched over and snatched him up by the neck.
“What did you do, human?” Her eyes grew more beastly, his fear pouring out from his body as he stumbled about, trying to make words come out in complete sentences. Sighing, she took him and tossed him out of the establishment and gathered up whatever coin he had left.
“Do not come back.” She wouldn’t deal with him- oh no, that would be too easy on him. Without any money, he wouldn’t be able to get any support to help him survive against the more violet wolves that would prey on his kind. Serves him right for breaking the rules here. She returned and looked to her vampiress with a more sympathetic look.
“Take her to Rita and get her dinner prepared.” The orders were followed and she decided to make second rounds to make sure nothing else would go astray.
