Author: Jayce Gloreaver, Posted: Sat Jun 26, 2021 5:42 PM, Post Subject: Getaway [Open,R]

There were times for action, and then there were times to stop, take a breath, and recollect oneself. For Jayce, the latter would typically have to be forced onto him eventually by his crew. As dutiful as he was, the captain tended to overdo it frequently, and now that he had to observe and wait for the right time to arrest his brother and the mad pirate captive that seduced him. But after months of uneventful stakeout to find out their location, his most trusted men collaborated and met up with him. Against his better judgment, he caved into their demand for everyone to take a break for a few days, he included.

With that, the Fenrir traveled south from Sularia and back to Adeluna. They managed to set anchor in a nearby village while he would head to the southern city. At the very least, he could get himself a good drink or two and some rest without worrying about his personal vendetta. Despite his status, the city wasn't exactly friendly with Egjora and he'd rather not deal with any unsavory situations. He sat at the bar in simple clothes; a white tunic and dark trousers. A short sword was sheathed nearby him, mainly for protection while he downed a double shot of whiskey. "Keep, I'll take some stew with bread as well, please", he called out as his glass was filled some more.

"Damn fool", he muttered beneath his breath. "Messing with that woman was bad enough, but get her pregnant with a girl with our blood?" He couldn't blame the innocent child for her conception. No, but he could blame his dimwitted brother for chasing after Furtuna and ending up in her bed. Jayce shamefully shook his head and took the shots straight to the head. It was going to be a long night for him.
