Since the time of the chaos the Luxurium wine had produced, Regan a fairy had taken up his wings in exchange for his legs for it would be much safer for him because of his small size. Even if he did manage to evade the cannibalistic beasts they could still majorly injure his sensitive and fragile wings. Regan loved flying of course. He felt as if his home was in the air than down where his feet touched the hard stone of city streets or rough dirt paths. But even so, Regan preferred walking through the beautiful scenery of the world than simply flying over it. Yet in major cities and kingdoms it was still too dangerous for the young fairy to place his feet apon the ground and expect to be safe. The streets of Adeluna had turned into a mix of chaos, bloodshed, sadness, and confusion as a once celebrated drink turned into one of poison. Not one who could kill the person who drank this wine, but affected their minds and made them extremely violent, or driven so mad they would feed on others flesh and sometimes their own.

Luckily for Regan, he was not old enough to pick up a bottle and was far from ready at the time. He preferred the fresh morning dew or some simple yet delicious berry juice. He was not affected by the wine directly but still had witnessed many horrendous deeds the people who had the misfortune of drinking the tainted delicacy has carried out.

The reason that brought him to Adeluna was because he had a message to deliver to one of the nobles who lived in a better part of the district. As he flew low over the city, he decided to get a higher altitude when he saw armored individuals escorting people to the edge of the city. Regan looked on in sorrow as he saw all the men, women, and children being escorted away from their city, their homes. A place where they should feel safe. The poor people… Regan said aloud to himself. I hope their okay. This better be sorted out soon before the world burns down to ashes. He flew slowly just over the fourth floor of some buildings before perching on top of a small shop to open his bag. Now, lets see if I can find where the address is and if I can get there without being eaten alive. He had barely opened the strap before he heard a voice calling out and ringing in his ears like a bell.

"Leave Now!" It cried, and rattled through Regan's bones like an earthquake. Oh no, someone must be in trouble if their voice sounds that urgent. Regan said, pulling out a golden and red Spectral Arrow as well as a silver dagger. He didn't have to look far for about 30 feet away stood what appeared to be an elf as a mother and son ran to safety. Dispite Regan being smaller than all of the cannibalistic beasts that the elf was slaying, he still felt drawn in to the battle to do the best he could. Regan left the bag on the safety of the roof before hopping down onto a large crate and running to the scene, dodging all that grabbed at him with zombie-like slowness. He let out a low whistle as the Spectral Arrow from his hand lifted into the air and shot like a knife through the air and pierced the heart of a man behind the elf. He leaped through the air and slashed his knife through the neck of a woman a few feet away from the elf as the blood splattered on to himself, dirtying his clothes and getting a few drops of deep scarlet red on his cheek. Are you ok sir? He called to the tall elf who appeared to be almost two feet taller than him, while letting out a higher pitched whistle to make the arrow strike a man through the stomach and returning to Regan in only a matter of seconds.

The world was in chaos yet again; a feat that no longer surprised his being these days. Both inner and outer forces of the world strived to condemn this world; their purposes and reasons differed vastly but the same outcome would seem to direct these circumstances to one path- oblivion. Baeleth wondered as he stood by watching the forces of light tend to the downtrodden, particularly those that were afflicted with the wine Death had crafted, yet also cursed by a mere mortal. He wondered why on the realm did this singular man was able to cause so much disruption and had yet been apprehended. Cities all over were thrown into chaos and the extent of the damages had yet to be fully recognized.

He didn’t want to merely stay hold up in Kanisa; a part of him felt the call to observe and report what he could of the situation. Perhaps even the smallest clue could help make sense of this madness; perhaps even find a way to combat the curse. He knew fully well that hunting down the man responsible would be foolhardy- even the gods seemed to have trouble tracking his whereabouts. And so he went to Adeluna and saw the streets overran with the disorder, even to the point of a few cannibalizing the cadavers of those unfortunate to survive through it. There was no hope in saving them and he gave them a swift death through Nefwyr’s cold steel. The war spear was readied in his grip as his midnight blue eyes followed Sirona’s followers as they led the afflicted away to camps at the city’s outskirts. Armored ones escorted them to make sure the journey didn’t end in tragedy and he would remain to see to the stragglers that still wandered through streets and alleys. When he was ready, Baeleth pushed himself off the wall he stood close by and traveled further, careful to move around the broken shards of wine bottles and the ponds of blood accompanying them.

Sin, even the very smallest traces of it, could be overwhelming. How in the name of the realm did the Temptress did not see this? A small snort left him as he realized the irony of the question he entertained. Of course not. Though he supposed that nobody also saw that one of her own (if the man would truly be acknowledged of such a position), would go rouge and seek to further his own agenda. The lengths he went through and the guts he showed- it was admirable, even if foolish. At another time, he might have even attempted to join forces with this character, but even he was to admit that going against the divine ones was a death sentence.

His train of thought was disturbed by the howls that reflected those from wild animals. His body tensed up and Baeleth readied himself up until he came to what was causing this. A few more cannibals were gathered about a mother and her boy. These fiends resembled a pack of ravenous wolves more than humans as they descended upon their prey. The elf exhaled sharply before he dashed forward in blinding speed, snapping Nefwyr into its two separate forms and collided with the first of the cannibals. The blades cut and dug an X into the beast’s chest and he fell. His death gurges gained the attention of his packmates and charged at him. He had little time to savor his kill as another one attempted to claw at him, unaware of the fact that Baeleth was in full armor. His mind was more feral and as he was brought down by a cut to the throat, the elf yelled at the pair. “Leave now!” He cared little where they went, as long as they escaped with their lives while he took the attention off of them and cut down a feral woman this time.

While they escaped, he was continuing on with his fight, though he was starting to see as time went by, others were alerted and heading his way.
