The Copts Marsh is an abundant wetland with numerous rivers that flow freely as if they were living beings. One must be prepared and cautious if they are to travel through here; the rivers’ temperaments can change wildly from being stable and calm one minute and then becoming violent and rapid the next. As they move further out, they mix with the seawater, allowing for large crabs and a variety of saltwater fish to thrive. Many seek refuge in the giant roots of the mangroves that populate the area. Snapping turtles, alligators, snakes, and amphibians are also commonly found surfing up and down the rivers.

There is a village that resides in the deep, southern part of the Marsh that can be reached by boat. The quickest thing to notice is that the huts are constructed on stilts and are connected to one another by log bridges. It is famous for its fishing, which has produced some of the most savory dishes in the Onnen as well as plenty of remedies for some of the more serious ailments that outsiders can get from their lack of knowledge of the land and its wildlife.

It is something that the villages take pride in- the carcasses of fish and other dwellers of the water hang proudly outside their markets and furthermore, as trophies out of their homes.
