South of Jasumin Lake stretches a savanna, plains stretching almost as far as the eye can see of grasses of various kinds and colours, dry ground and rocks. Taller shrubs grow here but they are generally twig-like and stunted in growth due to lack of rainfall. Dotting the land are hardy Acacia and Baobab trees that have adapted to the sparse rainfall on the savanna, only growing small leaves when the wet season comes. Watch yourself if you take shelter under these trees, predatory cats and snakes like to lounge in the tree branches and sun themselves and you may look just as tasty to them as a zebra that roams the grasslands.

Spread out across the dry landscape are large outcroppings of rocks and boulders, called Inselbergs by the native tribes. These can vary is sizes, from house sizes to large hills, and they serve important purposes. The crevices in the rocks can pool water and the plant life on the Inselbergs is lusher than even on the level ground around the rocks. These outcroppings are great places to get a view of the land around for scouting, just make sure that a lion or cheetah hasn't decided to the same thing at the same time.
A few rivers flow through the savanna and here a lot of life can be found. Watering holes for zebras and other animals can be found, along with crocodiles that haunt the waters looking for careless prey. Elephants and rhinos tend to pass by the rivers and streams at times to water themselves as they migrate looking for fresh food. The local tribe of shifters tend to make their homes along the waters as well, the farmers more so as they will divert the water to their crops when needed. They also herd animals along the streams and rivers as well, always keeping eyes open for predators that would like an easy meal.

The local Bőr Séta shifters are welcoming of outsiders to their villages and camps, and many seek them out to barter for one of their renowned Arany horses. They will accommodate visitors well and have a feast at times for celebrating visitors as well. But they are by no means pushovers and if not treated with respect, in turn, will turn a cold shoulder to those that disrespect them. While not a violent people, if push they will use their abilities to shift in animals to protect their family and homes from attack. It's best to keep on their good side, which is easy to do as long as you are respectful.

Other wildlife of the savanna that have not been mentioned include; wild dogs, baboons, giraffes, mongoose, emu, koala bear, and large colonies of ants who's hills can sprout from the ground up to seven feet tall. It's best to stay away from these. As far as weather; the winter months see very little or no rainfall while the summer can produce monsoons that can turn the ground in a mucky mess and produce some spectacular thunder and lightning storms. The locals take have adapted ways to keep themselves safe and relatively dry in these months.
