The scorching sun had set over the desert horizon and the gates to the city collapsed. The city’s guard mobilized hastily with one clear objective in mind: Prevent the invaders from entering deeper into the city. As the bandits poured in, the guards formed a phalanx formation, the archers rained arrows down on the enemy hordes, their shields pierced by the sharp tip. The bandits were poorly coordinated but well armed, equipped with siege engines and a variety of vicious beasts, boulders rained down upon the sandstone city, the bandits moved swiftly, their iron blades glistened in the torchlight. 

Asurael wanted to partake in battle to satiate his thirst for blood. He tore through the enemy lines swiftly and used his strength to destroy the catapults from the foundation, the siege engines lost balance and they collapsed onto the high sandstone walls and buildings, leveling parts of the wall and multiple homes and buildings costing a significant number of innocent lives, and allowing the invaders more openings to overwhelm the defending guards, cornered and unable to call for support. Asurael, too prideful to care, was blind to the destruction he caused and carried on with his ruthless battle.

His laughter boomed across the battlefield as he killed anyone who dared raise a finger against him, oblivious to the fact that he has caught the attention of some certain people who might not tolerate his reckless behavior..
