Cha'Kwe'Tza stood approximately thirty feet inside the gates of the City of Asyut. Teeth bared in a snarl, weapons to hand as his small party of spearmen fanned out behind him, making him the point of a loose phalanx formation. Undead lay scattered before him across the ground as his strength was more than enough to simply smash their skeletal bodies to pieces. His men however, being human and not nearly as strong he, paired up and used their spears more like quarter-staffs. It had only taken one or two encounters on the way from the Aestas outpost to learn that piercing weapons did little to bodies that weren't effected by bleeding. Looking to his left and right down the adjacent streets the scaly warrior could see large groups of mixed undead creatures that matched the group ahead, mostly zombie or skeletal types, shambling towards him and the men behind him. Holding his new weapon in both hands, a glaive with a blade made of glass, Cha'Kwe'Tza gave the order for his men to stay near and defend this gate, adding that a retreat to Aestas would be acceptable if they could not hold. Striding forward, alone, Chalky hammered a fist against the side of the crystalline armour that he wore. Making sure that it was in place properly, as he'd only worn it once before, in a siege some time ago.

Now, nearing the front line of the approaching undead, the glaice spun in Cha'Kwe'Tza's large hands. The glass blade sliced through bone and rotten flesh with barely a whisper while the butt of the weapon haft smashed the occasional skull and pushed back at those who drew too close. The fight was oddly silent, as the usual noise of shouts, screams and weapon clashes were replaced entirely by the sound of dozens of rustling footsteps, a pair of heavy claws clattering on the stones of the red and white granite, and the rhythmic bellows of the living warrior's breath. As creature after creature fell to the warrior and his brutal aggressiveness, he made a slow, but inevitable progress towards the great pyramid in the centre of the city.
