Persistence had paid off at least! The huge grey bear had found exactly what he had wanted; a massive honeybee hive, in the middle of almost nowhere, untouched for who knew how long. After much searching and asking travellers about what they had found in their travels, the bear had narrowed down the area where the hive could have been. Eyota Etu, it had been a while since he had travelled there from Sularia, normally heading directly South when leaving the city. The massive hive had originally been built in a crack in the rock face of an out cropping near a stream, but since it was an out of the way place it was left untouched for years. At easily ten feet tall and that again and then some wide, not to mention how deep it might have become, the hive was dripping with and buzzing with what likely amounted to millions of bees.

No sane creature would want to risk getting at a hive that huge with that many tiny stinging bees.

So perhaps the bear was not in his right mind then, or was too obsessed to know better? Either way, he had arrived, well, hours ago, and since then had gorged himself. The hive was damaged, that could not be helped, but it was clear that the bear had not been reckless enough to destroy the hive. Tearing away chunks of honeycomb without risking the hive as a whole. The bees did not bother him, his heavy fur and thick skin prevented their tiny stingers from bothering him. Even when he had been eating and some flew into his mouth and started to sting, well, they just added a nice little crunch to his snack as even in his mouth the stinging did not bother him.

The big grey bear was now full, for the moment, and was laid back on a rock just outside of the range the bees would travel to defend the hive. Clearly this was not his first time doing this kind of thing. He was covered in honey, however, and it clung to his fur around his heavy paws and all over his face, a clean eater he was not. The bear was also snoring, loudly, as he laid on his back on the rock, even in his life he had a content look on his face as the midday sun made for a pleasant day.
