For short thoughts, I LOVED WARCRAFT!!! And I want more! I thought that it was a very well done movie, even with my few nitpicks. It's clearly a movie made for the fans of the franchise, and not for a mass appeal. And I am so glad for it.

D'aww, but I liked the Mario Brothers Movie… back when I was like seven >> lol.

But I do agree with that when it comes down to mass appeal vs pleasing fan, the former tends to win. Another good example of that is with the Resident Evil movie series; they seemed to at least tried gallantly with the first two (especially with Apocalypse) and then it just got more awkward with each new movie.
