This was supposed to be easy. That was the idea, at least. Take the twins off of Mom and Dad’s hands, and let them have a peaceful vacation away from home. After all,. He had his own little runts to deal with, what was adding two more?

Rex sighed as he coddled Vivian and rocked Ella. He looked over just in time to see that Wynter was about to reach up for the tablecloth and pull down a bowl onto her head, but to his surprise, Janus was there to tell the baby off. He merely smiled as tapped Wynter’s hand.

“Bad Wynter,” he said proudly. “That will hurt.” The tyrant twin looked to Rex with a goofy smile across his face as he held up an ‘okay’ sign to his older brother. “Uncle Janus to the rescue!”

“Thanks,” Rex replied with a smile. That smile, though, was quickly changed with he realized that Janus had dat down in front of Wynter, and was starting to do a little magic. The baby was enamored at Janus’ magic, and put her own hands together. Janus nodded excitedly, and there was a small spark between Wynter’s hands.

“Nononononono!” Rex exclaimed as he put Vivian down (who immediately started crying, along with her sister Ella), and ran to pick up Wynter and save her from Janus teaching her anything dangerous.

“Aww…no fun,” Janus replied with a pout and a huff. “I bet Lila is having more fun. Right Lila?”
