The capital of Fulani is located in the center of the lake country. One of the largest lakes named Kariba, after the first ruler of Benin, is home to the islands and lake where Benin is located. The first island is the Island of Nakuru which is home to a few fields and farms but it is mostly mountainous leaving only a few caverns as ways for people to reach Benin from the outside. During periods of high tide, the island itself is inaccessible and once you arrive, you have to wait until the way is clear to cross back over.

Benin is a crescent-shaped island within Nakuru Island and in the center of Kivu Lake. The docks are made of dark mahogany and span from one tip of the crescent to the other. Three long wide bridges connect the rest of the docks to the mainland port that arcs along the inner crescent.

The inner island itself jets up with the city being built at an incline with the royal castle of Benin being built into the mountainous terrain at the top center. It appears to be made out of solid marble forming perfectly with the mountain under hinting at a deep deposit of the grandiose stone. A large window-like mirror is positioned on top of the castle’s peak with inscriptions that can be seen from the city below. Once the sun begins to set the mirror-like object begins to glow bringing illumination to the lamps in the city below.

This form of magitek was once something the people of Benin could make and it appears to be of the same origin that Railoch in Parvpora is known for but on a smaller scale. The people of Benin can maintain these lights but have no knowledge of how to reproduce such a thing as all the history has been lost from the time the deities ruled the lands.

Not only does this power the lamps on the main island of Benin but also four large lighthouses on the inner bans of Nakuru Island that shows the boundary of the land away from the capital. There are similar smaller lamps on the inner part of Nakuru near the farmlands but some of them have broken or have been forgotten thanks to time.

Ferries can be found positioned around various points of the Kariba Lake edge but be wary of being led astray. There are ruffians about that pillage from Basoga often causing problems for those wanting to reach Benin. Most official ferries carry the Fulanian flag.
