It was a colder day than normal, which brought about the questions of what to do next. As per usual, Coryanna and Rulne were arguing on what do next. Briefly, he did wonder if he chose the opposite of whatever the Alpha chose just out of spite, but he knew that arguing as the demon’s advocate was never a bad thing. If anything, it always seemed to spark a strong conversation of the pros and cons of each choice, even if it seemed as though Rulne were always going up against the main decisions.

Perhaps he was playing a very specific role in the Frostgarde, a role that isolated him from many of his fellow riders. It was fine, in his mind. Solitude suited his job better. It made things easier in the long run should something come up during a scouting mission. No one to blame except himself.

It had been a heated argument between him and Coryanna, and in the end he had decided to leave in order to cool off. He found himself riding Vagrant through the southern wastes, a bit off from the main garde, idly searching the ground for any tracks. Nothing but small game jumped out to him. Nothing worth alerting the hunting party for, and no danger. Still, he dismounted Vagrant, and found himself placing a few traps, leaving his calling card symbol for the rest of the Frostgarde in case they came this way. Should they fall for the trap, well…they knew better, didn’t they?

He briefly weighed the pros and cons of just ignoring her. He even briefly considered making way for the nearest town for a night of debauchery instead, but decided against it.

Now was another one of those pivotal times. It would be a bad idea to miss out on the next few days.

Before long, he and Vagrant wandered back into the main camp. Despite wandering for most of the day, there was still a bit of light left in the sky. He had made good time.

“All right,” he said to no one in particular as he started to dust Vagrant off, petting his wolf lovingly. “Let’s get this over with…”
