“I guess this is really it, then,” Rhenakos said as he kissed her back. “A date, huh? Not exactly their kind of romance, but I can get it…we should really do this more often.” He kissed her again, biting at her lip this time. When she said it was almost time for him to go, he sighed. “You know…I think they can wait for another ten minutes or so while I…” He rolled over on top of her. “Take advantage of our romantic date…”

Twenty minutes later, Rhenakos walked out of the room, bare chested. There were bite and scratch marks all across his chest as he stretched and worked out his arms. “Are we ready then? I took a little longer…sorry. It’s not often we get chances like this, you know…”

Apparently, in the time that it had taken them to fuck, the small group had grown into a rather large one. From what Rhenakos could tell, there were even more outside.

“Oh…yeah, this is my kind of fight…Os! You might want to get out here and watch this.” Rhenakos cracked his knuckles, and smirked. “It’s gonna be one hell of a show.”

They were loud enough to wake the dead. She was fucking sure of it. There weren’t any runes to silence the noises but the people in the tavern were probably used to something like this. The only difference is there was a group of men pissed off at Rhenakos downstairs.

She was laughing over him now as she leaned down and kissed his lips then his jaw then finally his neck. “Thirty minutes really?” She gave him a look like he was unbelievable. “Since when have we ever had a session done in under an hour when we were like that. That time in Karith was three hours because I called you a stupid dick.”

She nipped his lip and sighed, “We are really having the time of our lives. Is that what a date really is? Just getting out and living in the moment together?”

After a few more minutes she sighed, "It's almost time for you to go start a bar fight. You better win."

“Aww, I thought you were actually gonna go at it at the bar,” Rhenakos said with a hint of disappointment. Another man tried to rush him, but Osiria took care of him as if he was nothing. Obviously no one was going to stand in her way while she was like this. As he was being dragged off, Rhenakos held up his finger. “Give me like…thirty minutes.”

Os cleared her throat, “An hour.”

“An hour,” Rhenakos corrected. “And I’ll come back to kick all of your asses…” He winked as the door slammed behind them, and Osiria tossed him onto the bed.

“You know I keep good with my threats~” Osiria purred up at him. “Well, see… It’s just an awful crime to get your wife riled up.” She stuck out her lip in a pout. “That is a very high crime on my list.”

She took his chin in her hand, “Very romantic coming from you. Look at you fending off pursuers~ Having fun with it.” She pushed herself up as he said he slipped. “Acting bad as usual,” she pressed her lips to his before jumping off of him and throwing him like he was nothing.

Soon she was straddled across his chest with another pint in her hand, “Punishment my dear man. You know I don’t like being teased for too long~” She drank it down. “Key now before I fuck him on your bar.” She held out her hand. “Gimme.”

One of the men went to grab her and she took her leg with the greatest of flexibility kicking him back. “Stay out of this!” She got the key grabbed Rhenakos by his shirt and started to drag him.

“Come on you.”

Rhenakos merely spun around again, deflecting the punch with his still free hand. “Oh my? That’s a hell of a threat coming from you, Os…” Another two men missed their mark. Rhenakos’ attention never left Osiria though. “All that for a little ‘slip’? Please…” Another three, and Rhenakos was spinning in the stool again. “Tonight is all about you Os. Isn’t this romantic? An evening out on the town? Just you and me against the world?”

“You bastard!” one of the men yelled. “You’re fucking toying with us!”

Rhenakos shrugged, “No more than I’m toying with my lovely wife here…you guys just aren’t trying hard enough to hit me.” At this point, though, it was less about the ‘reward’ and more that the hunter was merely pissing them off. Four of them came at Rhenakos all at once, but they were no match for Rhenakos as he blocked each and every one, throwing them across the bar and behind the counter.

“Oops,” he said with a sly smile, staring Osiria in the eyes. “I slipped…” It was so easy to tell that he was lying.

“You are at your sexiest right now I will admit,” there was an amused look on her face as she turned her eyes to the crowd. Raize and his wife. They had made a name for themselves in quite a few bars. Osiria was a lovely little number but her temper and her inability not to punch something when it pissed her off was also quite well known.

She squeaked again with laughter as he pulled her into his lap. She even bit at her lip in a tease as he rubbed her thigh. “Rhen…” Her face flushed a bit as she whined at him with a pout. Oh, he was going to get punished later for this. Her skin was pricking up at his touch the farther he moved his hand which made her whine more. “BRING IT!”

The faster they got this over with, the faster he could touch her more as far as she was concerned. “I would have to try and throw you on the bar and fuck you myself if you slipped. It’s bad enough you are even teasing me but if you slipped~ That’s worse than teasing you know.” She grabbed his thigh and gave him a look before watching the second man come to punch Rhenakos. She wasn’t scared of being hit, she knew he was fully capable of deflecting them.

“Oh please…when I’m like this? No one can get near you…” He was smiling, but there was a glint in his eyes. Whether it was playful or not, he looked almost as if he were ready to eat her himself. But, of course, they were in the middle of a rather nasty situation. There was a group of men who wanted to try and steal Osiria away. And, of course, the fact that he had said the name ‘Raize’ wasn’t helping either.

After all, Rhenakos and Osiria were famous, to a degree. Famous for destroying bars in fights.

“Tell you what…I’ll make a deal with you…erm, fine gentleman,” Rhenakos said with a half smirk as he pulled Osiria in his lap, pulling her dress up as he stroked her inner thigh. “If you can land one hit on me…then I’ll let you have a chance to touch…” His hand slid up further. Of course, just because Rhenakos was going to give a chance, didn’t mean that Osiria would. That was the play.

Not that it would ever come to that. The first one threw a punch, and Rhenakos merely spun himself around on the bar stool, using his free hand to deflect it. “My, Osiria…if they keep this up…I might slip up with my teasing here…what a shame that would be…”

Osiria drank down her pint and spun herself around on the stool to watch the two of them. “My money is on my husband.” She leaned against the bar with a smirk. “I’ve actually heard I’m quite fantastic in bed. Rhen, you should show him what I did to your back in the alley just a few minutes ago. I mean… Look at this…” She hiked up her dress just enough to show a bite mark on her thigh. “Gets a little rough with me but not rough enough on some nights.” She smirked.

She let her orange eyes drill into him, “Oh but my love…” She said in a fake surprised voice. “You mean I can be terrifying?” She got up and put her arms around Rhenakos’s waist. “Look at them all eyeing me like I’m some sort of candy. Bet they want to eat me~ You going to let them?” She was riling him up good.

“I may be dangerous but a girl loves to watch her man work.”

Rhenakos downed his own pint and as the next one slammed down, he and Osiria toasted to her not being a ‘lady’, and each downed the next in a single gulp. There were murmurs among the bar. The two were the classiest looking ones there, yet they were acting like the lowest of the low.

A group of men started up at the bar, ordering their own drinks and looked Osiria up and down. “If you’re looking for a better time than this tosser, we could take a stab at ya,” one of them said with a dirty look. “If you aren't a lady, then you’re probably great in bed…”

The hunter was already working on his third pint. “What makes you people…so fucking confident…” he slammed down the mug. “To walk up to a man’s woman and start this shit talk in front of him…” He stood up. Rhenakos was a six foot tall demon hunter, with the muscles to show for it, and a crimson red eye that glowed. Upon taking another look at him, the other men, perhaps in a drunken stupor, took it upon themselves to challenge him.

“You know what the best part about all of this is?” Rhen said with a shit eating grin. “Is that I’m not even the one you have to worry the most about.”

“The pushy ones are the fighty ones,” Osiria waved her hands. He was right though and she gave a smile and a nod. “I like that. Just us.” She squeaked as he grabbed her and pulled her close. Her lips hit his hard and Osiria gave him a timid look. Maybe it was just an act but he would never be able to tell. “Then all my attention is yours until you are sick of it,” there was a snort from her because she knew he would never have enough.

“I should have fucking brought a spare outfit…” She motioned at herself as she hopped up onto a stool. She was short enough that the stools tended to be an issue since most races were taller than she was. “Cheapppppp~” Osiria grabbed the pint from the bartender as soon as he brought it back.

It didn’t take long for the woman to drink it all down and slam it, “Tastes like memories.” She was joking as she leaned against the bar. “God damn it, Rhen. We could have used this as an excuse to pick each other up from the fucking bar. I always have the sexiest and best ideas far too late. Fuck!”

Her mouth was catching the attention of a few. “That’s not how a lady should talk.”

“Good thing I’m not a fucking lady then~” Osiria said casually as the bartender got her another pint.

As Osiria mentioned the free drinks, Rhenakos smirked, “Free drinks are nice, but that’s only for you. And then they get pushy…” He crossed his arms, “Besides…tonight was supposed to be about us and ‘romantic’ or whatever.” He grabbed her ass and pulled her in for a passionate, rather rough kiss. “Which means tonight is the night that I get all of your attention.” Rhenakos liked sex. But that was all it was to him. A physical act. Sex with Kalina was nice. Back before he was with Osiria, sex with anyone was nice. But Osiria…she was different. Sex was intimate. Close. Personal. Hell, being in the same room with her was intimate.

That was something about her that no one else had, and he wondered if she knew it. He released her, but kept a hold of her hand as he pulled her along into the bar. There were stares, of course, and a few whistles as two ‘well dressed’ individuals made their way to the counter.

“Gimme two pints of whatever’s the cheapest shit you have,” Rhenakos said as he slammed some coins down, ignoring the stares. “And open a tab…the name’s Raize…”

Maybe this was what Simone had meant by them being idiots. They were risk-takers through and through. The alley had some of the best sex they had in a while. She laced her hands with his, “Told you. A play is way too long to keep your attention going. I’d rather it be on me anyway.”

She thought about it, “Alright, let's hit up the bars. I bet I can get free drinks~” She fixed herself up and gave a wink to Rhenakos, “But then you won’t get any of my attention all night.” Did he need her attention? It was still a question in the back of her mind. She knew he loved her so it was just a silly thought in the end.

“Let’s go!” She pulled him towards one of the bars he had been talking about. “I heard this one is one of the good ones.”

The two of them took it a few steps further, seeming to test the waters on just how much they could actually get away with. Much to their surprise, it was quite a bit before they were ‘politely’ asked to leave. AS the two hit the cool streets of Egjora, Rhenakos was laughing. He pulled Osiria into the nearest alleyway, and hiked up her dress, taking full advantage of their current mood.

It wasn’t long before the two of them were walking out of the alleyway, flustered and disheveled.

“Well…let’s not do that again. Maybe your idea of a date on the water is a bit better…we can try that next time,” he said with a grin. “In the meantime…I hear this place had amazing bars. Wanna go hit one for the rest of the night? See where we end up by morning?”

Osiria smirked a bit at him, “I am quite good at soft touch healing. Though the first time we met I hated you.” She tilted her head with a smile. The way things had changed for them were for the better.

“How do you know if it sucks if you’ve never seen one,” she got close to him to tease his lips with her closeness. “Weren’t you the one who said we should be careful? You start acting up and you are bound to get us thrown out.” She giggled a bit.

“You do… However, get the most creative ideas when you are bored.” She put her hand on his thigh and gave him a nice squeeze. “We’re going to get kicked out aren’t we?”

Rhenakos thought for a moment, “I really don’t know when it started.” He was smiling fondly at that point. “One moment, I was focused on the fight, and the next it was just you. Only you. Didn’t even have time to think, I just moved…” He smirked. “I may have taken a hard hit, but you made up for it later that night… you and your ‘soft touch’ healing…” That was practically how they met.

“You know..this play…” Rhenakos vaguely turned his attention to the actors on stage. “Kind of sucks…” There was a half devious grin on his face as his hand slithered between Osiria’s legs. “I can think of a few more interesting things…”

Osiria rolled her eyes back and forth, “Hard to say when it's another woman. I was blackout drunk but she wasn’t there in the morning… Though you shoved me out of bed and were like a starfish.” She couldn’t contain her laughter that great with the thought. “You and Reva both sleep the same way. It’s adorable.”

She put her finger on her chin, “Oh yeah… We decided not to do that again by ourselves. Ended up having to have Vela and Raile come get us. We were naked under a blanket. I think Raile was disappointed in us,” she gave him a smirk as she watched the eyes around her.

“Remember that time when we were traveling in the Virens,” she turned and propped her head up with her palm giving him a bored expression. “We had been chasing after something I can’t remember it too great but… You ended up taking that hit for me. That was the last time you let me go hunting with you. When did I start distracting you like that?”

It’s kind of hard to appreciate other people when one’s in your head all the time,” Rhenakos said. “But…eh, it works for them so it’s whatever. I know Raile had had both Kali and Lei at the same time. That was a fun story to hear…he got totally plastered…”

Rheankos thought for a moment, “Well there was that one time you made out with that chick on a dare in the bar. I can’t remember much from that night, but maybe we did? I remember the morning though….shite hangover…” He smirked.

The play had moved on to the second chapter, and the Hunter and Princess were on the run, fleeing the castle in the catacombs. “Ahh…good times. Remember when I tried treasure hunting with you after Vela? We fell into that one crypt and just said fuck it and got down and dirty there…”

That earned him a stare from their neighbor, to which Rhenakos did a shooing motion.

Osiria let out a laugh and she got looks, “Shhhhh.” She chuckled at Rhenakos and elbowed his side. “You are going to get me in trouble. Or kicked out.”

She couldn’t help her laughter though she just had to calm herself down. “You know nobles are prudes. Look at Simone. She doesn’t even look at another man… Though that begs the question… Can Simone look at other men? Is that part of the resonance? I find you yummy but she just gets heated about you staring at her ass.”

Their conversation caused there to be a cough behind them and Osiria looked behind her to see a blushing noblewoman. “Mind ya business,” Osiria said with a shoo before turning back around and sinking backing Rhenakos. “Still… Nailing them both? At the same time? Not even you’ve gone that far since we’ve been together. At least I don’t think…”

THat was a rather fond night to remember, though Rhenakos as the play dragged on. The two of them had gone out for another round of drinking, and Rhenakos had left for a moment to go get them drinks. When he had come back, a ‘tall, dark, and handsome’ man had slithered up to Osiria, and chatted her up. Even though it was obvious she wasn’t interested, the man kept pushing, even going so far as to stroke Os’s hair. That, of course, led to Rhenakos breaking the man’s hand.

The man may have started it, but it was definitely rhenakos and Osiria who finished it. The resulting bar fight ended up with a rather large bill for both of them, and a Vilpamolan wide ban on the two of them for a month, with a permanent ban from that tavern for life.

“Yeah…good times,” Then replied with a fond smile.

“Nailed it. Just like he did her,” he said as a “dramatic” sword fight between the Hunter and the Cousin ensued. The fight ended with the Princess coming between them, urging them not to fight. Then, despite her betrothal and desperate love of her cousin noble, she proclaimed her love for the Hunter. There were sniffles in the crowd.

“I mean…she can nail them both, can’t she? They just need to talk it out. Pretty sure the noble guy swings both ways. That’s the only explanation really for that…”

“Yeah, but we got kicked out of that one cabaret because you wanted me to get on stage remember? It didn’t go smoothly. I’m no dancer.” She chuckled a bit though she tried to keep her voice down.

Osiria snorted a bit, “Lovely my husband, lovely.” She was mocking the scene now but she leaned into him and put her head on his shoulder. She was already dreadfully bored.

“You remember that one time in that Vilpamolan Tavern? When you got into a bar fight with some douchebag because he touched my hair after I said not to? That was pretty fucking sexy.” She was buttering him up something good. “You know I don’t like to be touched by strangers, I don’t even remember why you remembered it but you did. I think that’s the night we made Izzy.” There was another chuckle from her.

After watching another scene she made a face, “Think you nailed it on the cousin railing… Royals.”

The play started out quite simple. A man came up on stage, and started out with the usual spiel about the group performing, as well as the history behind the play. Rhenakos rolled his eyes at this, and leaned over to whisper back to Osiria. “That’s what Lewis told me too. The way I see it, though…the cabaret is definitely a play. There’s a stage, and there are performers. I don’t really get the difference,” he whispered back.

The man on the stage took a bow, and there was clapping. Rhenakos shrugged and started to clap along, though he really didn’t know why.

The curtains rose, and there were two people sitting by a fire. The Hunter and his friend. The two started a rather lengthy back and forth, but instead of anything straightforward, the language used was rather flowery and seemed to dance around the subject at hand. That, which was the beautiful princess of the land. The Hunter was going on how she was a fair maiden, so pure of heart and delicate.

“I bet she gets royally railed,” Rhenakos said under his breath. “Probably by her cousin or something…”

“You like all my clothes on the floor… I don’t think it matters what they look like,” she added a bit of sass as she gave him a lustful look. That was really what held together their relationship, at least that’s what she had been told. “Simone told me the tickets were ordered in our names so it shouldn’t come back on them. She said we’re trouble makers.”

“Oh ho? But not as good as his Mrs.” She smirked a bit and together they began to drink. Wine wasn’t as heavy as what they were used to but after three bottles they felt a bit tipsy. “Ahhh… One more bottle.”

They hurried up and drank their way through one last bottle before finding their seats. Her hand rested in his as the room got dark and the stage lit up. “I’ve never been to a play before,” she whispered to Rhenakos. “Apparently, the cabaret doesn’t count.”

“Of course I like the dress,” Rhenakos said with a sly smile. “It would be better on the floor, though…” He glanced around. “Though I doubt the others here would appreciate it. Not that I care, but…I think we do owe it to Simone and Lewis a little…getting kicked out of this place so quickly might give them a bad impression.” Of course, Osiria’s suggestion was not much better than his own.

“Oh, is that a bet?” he asked. “Mr. Raize here can hold his liquor quite well…” He poured another glass of wine for the two of them. It was quite easy for each of them to polish off the glasses. It was almost a game to them…they were making sure not to catch the ire of the staff and other play-goers. In the end, the two of them each had finished nearly three bottles of the dark red wine that had been provided.

It was about this time that a man appeared at an elegant, large set of double doors. “May I have your attention, everyone? The play will start soon, You may begin seating at this time.”

The groups started to head towards the door, and Rhen took one look at Os and winked. “Can probably get a last bottle in if we hurry…”

“You can thank Simone for this one. She picked it out… You really like it?” Of course, he liked it but she wanted to hear it. She took the wine and sipped on it. Listening in on the conversations she just sighed, “We don’t really fit in with this crowd do we?” She chuckled. “Simone and Lewis would have been a better fit.”

She snuggled into his side and held his arm as she drank, “Wonder how drunk we can get off wine before it starts… Bet you I can hold my wine better than you pretty boy.” She elbowed him softly before kissing his cheek.

“Are you Mr. Raize,” there was a snort from her.

“Well, I wanted to go all out, you know? Besides…I can’t complain too much. Have you seen the dress you’re in?” He gave her the look that screamed ‘we’re fucking tonight’ as he led her to one of the tables. He poured them both a glass of wine, taking a moment to ‘elegantly’ offer her a glass. The whole thing was practically a joke to him at this point, so why not go with it, even if it was absurd.

“Should we….mingle?” Rhenakos asked, almost disgusted at the prospect. He could hear conversations close to them. One man was talking about investments into the royal military, while another was commenting on how avante-garde the most recent art display was. Somewhere off in the distance, he swore he could hear Raile’s influence about trade.

“On second thought…I don’t think we’ll have much to talk about,” he said. “This is…just a lot. Hopefully the play will be better…”

Simone was helping Osiria get ready, “Are you really not used to this?”

“Not really… This is fancy,” Osiria looked up from getting her hair and makeup done. She looked beautiful to Simone.

“We put your names on the tickets just in case you two do something stupid,” Simone chuckled a bit and Osiria winced. They would probably indeed do something stupid.

Osiria was on his arm as they walked around, “…Looks like we’re in with a group of snobs now… We should have gone with the date on the water idea. Just the two of us… and well the driver but still. Next time we go for simple.” Although… Simone had Osiria looking like a dish, a really nice feast.

“I guess we should get some wine and hunker down this is going to be a long night.”

“So…we’re uh…here, I guess.” Rhenakos and Osiria were standing outside of a rather large building on the main street of Egjora. There was a line almost circling the block. At that alone, Rhenakos would have suggested they ditch their plan, but Lewis and Simone had planned for this, and gotten them tickets beforehand.

Tickets, mind you, for a famous play done by the Morelli Group, a rather well renown playgroup that had done hundreds of sellout plays across Canelux and Parvpora combined. Today, they were performing a well known classic, the tale of the Hunter and the Princess. It was, of course, a tragedy. For some reason, people seemed to love those.

Lewis had helped Rhenakos get ready hours before. The ex-assassin had taken one look at Rhenakos’ possible wardrobe, and rolled his eyes. Within thirty minutes, Rhenakos had been measured up, and was now sporting a rather fancy set of burnt orange coloured slacks, with a white button down shirt and a matching orange tailored coat. Much his Rhen’s dismay, he was even forced to wear a black tie.

“You can thank Simone later,” Lewis said. “It’s her who’s telling me that this will work for you…”

“Oh, I can thank her all right. Just give me one-”

“I can change the color from orange to red, if you prefer,” Lewis said with a glare.

“Kidding,” Rhenakos replied, putting his hands up.

That had been hours ago. Rhenakos stepped forward and presented the tickets to the handler, who looked at them and ushered them on. As they walked into the main room, it was as if they had been transported to a wholly different world. The play was not to start for another hour or so.
