All had gone according to Scrubbles plan. As soon after Scrubble took up a position next to the door with the shiv the door was blown off. Outside the door was some sort of man but this did not matter to Scrubble. Nor did the questions this human asked particularly interest Scrubble. No Scrubble was focused on the guards who had so unlawfully imprisoned a righteous warrior of Scrubble. Scrubble let out a loud battle cry "
SCRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBBLE!" and charged four of the guards. The guards were somewhat surprised by the bravado of Scrubbles reckless charge as most goblins in this situation would try to sneak away in the commotion. However instead Scrubble stabbed one of the guards in the leg with the shiv.
Scrubble then instead of removing the shiv pulled it down the guard's leg leaving a large gash. Scrubble than ripped the shiv out however this attack had quite badly damaged it. The guard now attempted to take a swing at Scrubble with their sword but found that their balance was quite compromised by their injury. Scrubble then took the almost ruined shiv and stabbed it into the guard's eye and turned to face the other three guards. Scrubble was now unarmed and facing down three angry guards. Who had thought that their now bleeding out colleague could take on one measly goblin. HOWEVER, THEY WERE WRONG FOR THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF SCRUBBLES CAUSE WAS GREAT AND SCRUBBLES FIGHTINESS LEGENDARY!
Scrubble still wanting revenge against the blasphemers for crimes against the Most Holy Church of Scrubble charged the other three guards. This proved to be far less effective as the guards were more prepared and one shot Scrubble in the shoulder. This was the final straw Scrubble channeled all the most holiest of energies of Scrubble that Scrubble could muster and casted the spell Conclaves Might. Soon a giant sword made of pure light fell from the sky and crushed all three guards. Scrubble had no time to be pleased with the blessing of Scrubble that had been received Scrubble needed to get the holy sacraments of Scrubble back. Scrubble decided to run off to find them shouting "
Follow Scrubble most holy companions of Scrubble for Scrubble must rescue the holy tools of Scrubble from the fiends of this city!"

At first, Baz had planned to break them out using the lock-picking tools Scrubble had so carelessly discarded on the cage floor. The elvin woman had returned in chains, and was doing some work silently nearby. He tried to get her attention, but she kept ignoring him, so he turned back to the tools and reached out a hand. Except he was interrupted by an explosion from the back wall of the cell.
"What in the bloody hell?!" he shouted, his Vilpamolan accent somewhat peeking through. Baz shot an annoyed glance at the new entry, knowing that any hope for a clean escape had gone completely out the window. But there was no going back now, so the ginger decided to just deal with it.
"Looks like your loyalty to Scrubble paid off, I guess," he mumbled, at least trying to stay on the goblin's good side. Before catching up with the others, he spotted his belongings, including his bow and quiver of arrows, lying on a table, and he swiftly grabbed them.
Rolling his eyes, Baz supposed he should just follow the reckless man. He didn't have anything to lose, so he might as well go out fighting. The questions the man asked were pretty pointless.
"I like a good conversation, but now isn't really the time," was his response as he quickly aimed an arrow at a guard and loosed it, watching it make contact with his exposed throat. His quiver only had a few arrows left in it (probably because he had used them all while drunk), but he could make it work. In total, there were roughly ten guards left. Trusting the other two to handle themselves, Baz mainly focused on the three in front of him, all brandishing swords and one carrying a branding iron in his other hand. All too confident.
Without hesitation, Baz charged towards the one holding the iron, narrowly dodging the others' swords as he ducked behind him. Taking an arrow, he jabbed it into his shoulder and spun him around to face the other two, effectively using him as a human shield. One of them was too fast and pierced their ally in the chest by accident. In his moment of hesitation, Baz jerked the arrow from the guard, let his body fall to the ground, and aimed an arrow at the other guard's chest. When he released it, the last guard charged at him and managed to nick his arm, causing him to stumble a bit before regaining his composure. He dove for the branding iron on the ground and used it to burn half of the guard's face. The man fell to the ground, clutching his face, and Baz decided to put him out of his misery by putting an arrow through his chest. Heaving a sigh, Baz looked towards the others.
"So, what exactly is your miraculous plan to escape the city?"

Cedric walked along the lonely dungeon, whistling to himself, any group of guards he comes across he greets, and if they were still there when they'd realize Cedric wasn't supposed to be there, they'd end up knocked out cold in a nearby cell. Cedric began to hear voices, a drunk man talking to another voice, the other voice, was quite high pitched. Cedric followed the voices and he eventually made it to a big iron door. He knocked on it, then proceeded to beat it with his fists. Cedric, thinking that an explosion would just murder him and the people inside the room, he summoned his dark elemental companion, he crushed a card in his hand and held it out.
"Come, Vequaniel!" He chanted, an intimidating figure then appeared behind him.
The armored figure wore a winter cloak and held a scythe.
"Morning Star" (A bombardment of fireballs) Cedric told the elemental, the door crashed down onto the hard cobble floor from the five fireballs. The elemental floated into the room before being called back by Cedric.
"Any problem here, gents?" He asked the people in cages, a woman, possibly an elf, judging by the fair complexion and pointy ears, a small goblin and a drunk ginger man. Cedric walked towards them and he melted the bars of the cages with his fire.
"Now, are you all up for a prison break?" Cedric asked, he had forgotten to free the elvish woman, but it slipped his mind. Cedric ran out of the room, but guards have come down to investigate the explosion that had occurred.
"Well, so much for no explosions…" Cedric crushed the (now straight) card and held it out. The elemental had appeared again and Cedric prepared his weapons.
"Are you guys any good at fighting?" he asked, not turning around. The elemental charged forward, slaughtering the guards, it rained blood. The beaked mask was dyed red because of the shower of blood the elemental was causing. Cedric rushed, the guards now surrounded them and the elemental disappeared, reappearing as a card in Cedric's hand, it was grayed out, he couldn't summon it for a while.
"I asked that question if we ran into a situation like this, you guys mind answering quickly?" He said, his two swords reflected the light coming from the torches, blinding the guards slightly and giving them a small advantage.

After finishing the laying of various curses upon the guard's families Scrubble noticed that there was someone else in this cage. While Scrubble completely ignored the first thing this, what was upon closer inspection a human said. Scrubble did hear it introduce itself and saw fit to do so in return "
I am Scrubble most holy paladin of Scrubble and do not worry Basil Scrubble has already formulated many escape plans!". After making this bold declaration Scrubble had a coughing fit. Which seemed bad until that coughing fit turned into Scrubble vomiting on the floor. "
HAHA victory for Scrubble". After declaring victory Scrubble picked up the set of lockpicking tools Scrubble had swallowed before the guards had so unlawfully tried to imprison Scrubble.
"
These are the tools which will bring freedom to Scrubble and Scrubbles new most holy companion Basil!" Despite Scrubbles bold declaration which Scrubble shouted far louder than was probably wise. Scrubble did not actually know how to pick locks. So Scrubble instead jammed all of the various little bits of the tools into the lock at once and began wiggling them around. This unsurprisingly did not accomplish anything. However, Scrubble had planned for the outcome of a lock that could not be picked. Scrubble took the sharpest lock picking tool in the set and turned to this new companion of Scrubble "
The lock is unpickable! Scrubble shall instead violently stab any guard who comes near this cell in the throat and steal their keys"! Scrubble once again divulging this most holy plan of Scrubble far louder than any sane person in Scrubbles position would.
Scrubble then deposited the rest of the tools next to Basil and stood near the door attempting to conceal this shiv. Scrubble had noticed a hole in the wall that Scrubble could probably use to escape but that did not fit into Scrubbles plan. It also did not seem large enough to fit Basil through and Scrubble would not so soon abandon this most holy companion of Scrubble.

For a while, Bonfiaz thought the guards had completely forgotten about him. At any rate, his time alone had given him plenty of time to study the rigid cage and determine that there was no way he'd be able to escape on his own. Luckily, the guards did not return alone. They were struggling to restrain a wild goblin, squawking about something called "Scrubble". Baz stared in confusion as they tossed the goblin inside and slammed the door shut. At his mad ravings, Baz wondered whether he was crazy or stupid or just a really good actor. He was leaning towards crazy. The entire thing was quite amusing, and the ginger felt a smirk cross his face as he formulated an idea.
"They have no sense of respect," he chimed in.
"But they're not just going to let us go."
Stretching his arms over his head, he put on his best facade of relaxation, ignoring the fact that the guards would no doubt be back soon to drag him off. He scooted aside, gesturing to a widened gap between the bars he had seen while observing his surrounding. When he first noticed it, Baz had ruled it out as an opportunity for escape, since he was much too large to squeeze himself through it. This goblin, however, was the perfect size.
"I'm Baz," he greeted, grinning at the tiny creature.
"You must forgive me, but I don't believe I know who you are." Flattery was usually the way to go when convincing people to help, Baz had found. Before asking him to go out and retrieve the keys to the cage, he had to make sure that the goblin was going to come back and let him out. Otherwise, they were going to suffer together.
Baz also wanted to see how good Scrubble's perception skills were, since he needed to know how clever he was. If the goblin noticed the hole, then he was probably smarter than he appeared. So, crossing his arms, he leaned back and waited for the goblin's response.

Scrubble was not pleased. Scrubble was being unjustly imprisoned for merely killing those who would insult the mighty god Scrubble, and stop the doing of Scrubbles will. Now after being moshed by many Guards Scrubble was being carried off. This was truly the final insult Scrubble began swinging around and throwing punches and kicks wildly. Scrubble soon struck a blow against the vile men who would stop the will of Scrubble. However instead of being knocked out by the awesome power of Scrubble they merely threw Scrubble to the ground and kicked the piss out of Scrubble before continuing to carry Scrubble to wherever they were headed.
Scrubble was soon taken to a small holding area where all of Scrubbles belongings were taken. This was utmost sacrilege as the highest priest and most holy paladin of the church of Scubble those items were sacrosanct. The Holy Blade of Scrubble had slain many mighty enemies of Scrubble. The Holy Armor of Holy Protectiveness had defended Scrubble from many enemies who wished to do harm to Scrubble and the church of Scrubble Which Scrubble protected. They also took the holy elixir of Scrubble. The stupid so called guards called it poison but it was actually a special drink brewed from every plant Scrubble could find anywhere. It was only mostly poisonous. It might not even kill the person drinking it. However its theft could only be repaid in blood. These vile thieves would meet the mighty justice of Scrubble once Scrubble was free again!
However before that could happen the guards returned and chained up Scrubble not willing to let Scrubble fight them like before. These men were too cowardly to face Scrubble in honorable combat. Soon Scrubble was deposited in a cell at the docks. Well, less deposit and more released from chains and thrown into the cell. What the guards were not expecting was Scrubble getting up almost immediately and charging the door before it closed. However, closing the door is not a difficult process and Scrubble merely ended up running into the front of the cage. "
You shall pay for your treachery against the church of Scrubbles! Your deaths shall be painful and your suffering legendary!" This would've sounded more threatening coming from something other than a slightly concussed goblin. But beggars can't be choosers.

Lights faded in and out of his vision, and any shapes he managed to pick out were blurred beyond recognition. Baz kept blinking rapidly as he was forcefully dragged through the back streets of the city by two gruff-looking guards. He wasn't exactly sure why they had picked him up, although he suspected illegal gambling was probably his crime. But the rest of the night was a blur, which was strange, to say the least. Though he made a habit of betting and getting into fights, he always knew to only drink as much ale as he could handle. He never would have gotten drunk so recklessly. Was something slipped into his drink? Perhaps he had misjudged his tolerance… His thoughts were cut short when the ruffians threw him into a cage of some kind, causing his head to slam against the metal bars. With a groan, Baz sat up and rubbed a hand across his forehead. Sticky blood was already pooling at the cut. How annoying.
"Watsh the prublem, gennelmen?" he slurred incoherently as the men sauntered off.
Grumbling to himself, the ginger leaned against the cool bars of the cage with his chest heaving, waiting for his sight to be oriented.
"Damn…" His voice was hoarse when he finally realized where he was. The docks were crowded with people being forced to work, and the smell of burning flesh already told him what was in store for him.
"We're all going to be branded," came a meek voice from beside him. Quizzically, he glanced over and saw a feeble elven woman crouched next to him. Baz wondered what she had done to get thrown in here with him, but he didn't question her.
"There's blood on your pants." Blue eyes widening, Baz turned his attention to the numerous blood stains coating his clothing, none of it his own. Ah, so he had gotten into a fight, probably killed someone. That explained it.
"Don't worry, we aren't gonna be here for long," he assured her, flashing a charming smile at her weary face. A dull headache was beginning to form at his temple, but otherwise his determination remained. At the woman's confused expression, the lanky man waved a hand of dismissal at her concern.
"I'll think of something." Fancying himself fairly clever, Baz prided himself on escaping impossible situations, and this would be no different. At least, that was what he thought, until the guards returned with whips and prods. The woman looked at him fearfully, but she was gone before he could even move. Her screams echoed, then died out as she was branded and then put to work, leaving Baz frozen in shock. For the first time in his life, he was truly scared.
