Now this was her kind of mission!
In the Northern part of Yovaesh island was a hidden building, built to blend into the scenery around it and from above be undetectable. A haven for a group of slavers who were trafficking flesh between Canelux and Parvpora, filling in orders from their clients on either continent. It was a convenient location for the slavers; not too far from the mainland and within a days sail South to Vilpamolan, where they regularly off loaded their cargo. No one bothered the island thanks to the orcs on it being well and truly able to defend themselves from all but the largest of threats and this spot of the island was otherwise uninhabited and left alone. They had watches set up hidden in the trees but had been unbothered since setting up shot here five months before.
However, they hadn’t been as careful as they had thought, as certain people had been informed about them. A slave that had been freed had spoken of the place and that spread to a certain Goddess on the mainland North of the island. Once she had heard of that Angela had decided to send Sharifa to rid the island of the slavers and free the slaves. For Sharifa it was a chance to get into a real fight after being away from them for too long, in her opinion anyway. The proud wasp woman had taken to the idea readily and set off quickly having a location in mind.
Being a scout by trade and a near silent flyer Sharifa located the building a few days before and had spent until now scouting the location. A ship had sailed in in that time bringing in new slaves, but thankfully that ship left empty, meaning all of the slavers were currently in that place. Sharifa, if she was truthful, didn’t care as much as she should have about the slaves, no, she was here to get her blades bloodied.
As the one guard wandered around his patrol route, which did overlap with another guard, there was a near silent twang from the trees. He gurgled out an attempt a yell but spat up blood instead from the arrow now sticking out of his throat. From the trees Sharifa, who had landed on a tree silently when he wasn’t in this area, walked over quickly and quietly. She drew a dagger with one hand finished him off and looked around, she needed to find the next guard before he came upon the body.
She tapped the amulet she wore, one that would make those that spotted her not notice her as much as they should, just another thing in their vision that didn’t matter. It wasn’t fool proof but it did give her those extra seconds to close in on a target. So it was that the Wasp was able to locate the next target. She waited until he was passing by her, he glanced in her direction, but in the coming darkness and the fact that Sharifa had covered her golden down in black soot to better hide herself, he didn’t even blink. As he stepped past Sharifa stepped out and wrapped her top left hand around his mouth, grabbed both of his arms with her bottom arms and used her top right arm to drag her dagger across his throat. She dropped the corpse, ignoring the blood just happy she had an excuse to fight and kill again that wouldn’t upset her new patron Goddess, as under duress as it was set up.
With two of the guards taken care of Sharifa had a choice; work her way around and kill the other two guards, or, use this gap in the patrol to get into the building itself.
