Elowen was quick to morph out of her tree form, swiftly navigating the dark terrain behind Randal. A bit of frost had covered her shoulder and back, numbing the soreness of the bruise the bear had left. As soon as they stopped, she stared at the mage with a sort of fearful wonder in her eyes. "I will be fine. I–um, just…" The Dryad starggled to find the right words to say, the right questions to ask, but she was more shocked than anything else. She had never seen the type of magic Randal used, but she also hadn't ever encountered someone so reckless. "What did you do?" she muttered quietly.

Grimacing as he touched her shoulder with the remedy he had made, Wen felt even her own optimism fading. "Thank you, but I can apply it to myself." Without another word, she  took the bowl from his hand and sat down, rubbing the salve onto her back. She watched Randal out of both skepticism and curiosity. From his indications, he had never been through Laeto himself, yet he was able to avoid obstacles easily, and his stunt with the wolf showed a knowing confidence unlike anyone foreign to the rainforest. Gently, she placed the bowl on the ground and leaned her head back against the tree she'd sat next to. Meditation was a practice common to her people that often doubled as a prayer to Mother Angela, and it was something Wen desperately needed to calm herself down.

After running for a few minutes he quickly turned back to face Elowen "Are you okay?" he quickly questioned leaning down to touch her shoulder before seeing his own breath in the air in front of him and just as his fingers grazed her arm he quickly recoiled it as he saw the thin layer of frost coating his skin, "I'm sorry, this was all my fault we could have just snuck round" he glanced back at the Orc frowning before heading the a bush to pick some herbs and items "It may not be the best apoligy but I can make some balm for the bruise" Edgest floated nearby with almost the same frown on as he spoke suddenly to the boy"It was unavoidable either way this way end with the least casualties"Randal spun round pointing a finger at nothing before shouting"Why couldnt you find a way with none!".

After calming himself down from his outburst he looked at Qadim before saying "Which way now? like you said we cant have many breaks or we won't make it out before two days" before pulling out a book reading instructions on how to mix the berries and strange gel like plant together which took a few minutes before presenting Wen with the bowl and making sure his hand was warm enough to put a small amount on her soon to be bruise, "Any Better?"

Qadim eyes glared at the boy… the wisp the surrounded his body… it was clearly abnormal… spectral even. Was the boy even who he said he was, or did a spirit take over his body? Answers he could not retrieve just yet, though, as the boy left his guard down as he cockily boasted about his ability. One was down, but the other was still unknown. His guard was down as the other predator approached, the Dryad moving in the way to protect him by taking foem of a tree. A natural disguise has forged itself into a defense as the bear fought to get through.

HIs eyes locking into the space between the two, Qadim let his arrow fly, striking the ground with plenty of force to crack the crystal embedded in the arrow tip, causing the arrow to grow unstable and shoot up a spire of ice to split the bear away from the tree. "Get moving, you two!" the elf orc demanded as he fetched a yellow-feathered arrow before shooing it into the leg of the bear. This time, electricity coursed through its body, causing it to stumble, struggling to get up as it flowed through it. Once the pair had gone off, Qadim fired another electric arrow just in case before following the two until they had enough distance from the scene.

All Elowen could do was stare in wide-eyed panic as Randal boldly approached the clearing. Was he mad? Did he have a death wish? She didn't have time to worry too much, however, as the mage was directly attacked by a large wolf. "No!" she squeaked out, terrified for him, but was taken aback when he managed to subdue the beast. A man… something appeared when he did it, though she couldn't tell what exactly it was. She just felt cold dread upon viewing it. "What was that?" asked the Dryad, suddenly very worried.

Before she could get a straight answer, the plant life around them shift. The other predator had arrived, and it sounded unhappy. "Watch out!" Seeing the bear approach Randal from behind, she quickly darted around Qadim and in between the two, morphing her body into a tree to protect the lunatic. He may have been able to hold his own, but an unseen attack could be fatal in these woods. The bear's teeth dug into her back, but her bark acted as an armor, meaning she wouldn't feel it in her current form.

"Oh you haven't seen me when I'm trying" he let out a cheeky smirk before Edgest butted in with a comment "When I'm trying" the young mage glared at the wraith while he did the same thing back, the two were mostly smoothed out since the start of the partnership but they do still sometimes hit rough patches with Randal being a good person and Edgest doing what needs to be done to achieve their goals.

When Elowen put her arm over him to stop him and hearing Qadim's answer to the disturbance the Wraith seemed to gaze into the tree's "Continue walking forwards, and prepare to use the technique I taught you" with a concerned look he nodded walking under the Dryad's arm and slowly stepping pass the Orc quietly mentioning "Your gonna have to trust us with this" ignoring his slip of the togune as he walked towards the scarred and bloody tree in a crouched shape waiting for the warning from Edgest getting close enough to see the clumps of fur gathered in the gaps before hearing the growls through the bushes as the Wraith echoed "Just one wolf, watch out" before the large beast pouced him with a quick struggle and alot of heavy breathes of exseration Randal managed to get a hand free and slam it against the beasts face as the glowing hand appeared and slowly turning into a ghostly mirage of Edgest covering Randal's body as the young mage slowly caused the Wolf to heel and collapse from exsaustion.

With a quick glance to the other two in the group he let out an awkward chuckle "At least it's not dead?" looking at his hand watching the faint wisps of frost on the surface on his skin and Edgest blankly staring at him beside now invisible to the group "Your an idiot, you used way too much and made me visible to the morals" with a quick sigh Randal replied openly "You realise I'm a mortal to right?".

Qadim's focus on the boy's quick comments unphased the elf-orc as he treaded the lands, his eyes kept forward as the woods grew thicker. Even being in for half a mile, the dangers of Laeto grew more immense, as many folks became lost within her grasp. The lucky were able to barely escape, while others died either through starvation, ingesting the wrong mushrooms that covered the floor, or being assaulted by the many carnivorous beasts and plants that laid scattered in her woods. There was a reason on why the guild asked for the best tracksmen to be able to seek out and guide others out of her arms.

As they walked, Qadim's pace suddenly slowed down… the trees were worried… a potential threat was coming up. Reaching his free hand down, he pulled out an arrow that was decorated with bright blue feathers, revealing that the arrowhead also contained a tiny blue crystal inside of it. One that would easily shatter if impacted with enough force. Docking it in his bow, Qadim quieted his steps as pushed forward, eyes staring forward as he progressed further.

The commotion was based around a tattered tree near the center of the woods. Many scars rested upon its bark and branches around its roots, along with splashes of blood. "Two predators," Qadim muttered, "Either a fight of dominance, or for territory. There is no body, so both are still alive and still fairly close. We tread carefully. A cornered rat can potentially be more dangerous than the cat that had cornered it."

Elowen frowned at Randal's flippant attitude toward his own safety, but she was in no position to dispute his overconfidence. After all, just a few minutes ago, she was prepared to go on a rather dangerous journey by herself with absolutely no idea where she was. When he summoned his orb of light and readied his wand, she watched in awe at the human's magic, though she giggled at his ungraceful step over a large root. She could sense it before she reached it, and effortlessly avoided the obstacle. "Somehow I doubt that you are able to best Qadim, given your lack of coordination," the Dryad noted, passing the mage with a wink and falling into step behind their guide. "But, then again, you may surprise me." Her connection to the forest remained with her, despite her goal to soon leave it behind. A sadness momentarily passed her thoughts, but she shook her head, remembering her desire for something new.

The deeper into the forest they went, the more she could feel the aura surrounding the trees and plants around her. Something strange disturbed one of the trees up ahead, and she stopped short, extending an arm to stop Randal. Wen was sure Qadim must have felt it as well, so she glanced up at him, awaiting his instruction.

"How do you think I discovered what nightshade was" he laughed with a smirk pulling out a small vial of a blue liquid "Its why I always carry Antidotes and other herbs because even risks can be calculated" his smile dropped when the Orc laughed at his statement  about there being danger nearby as Edgest simply sighed "Apparently you aren't the only one being reckless" the statement being bitter before the wraith turned "Perhaps you should prepare a Spirit of Light and a Spectral Arrow for protection Randal?" with a quick nod that to anyone else in the group would look like Randal nodding at thin air he quickly drew a symbol in the air using the tip of his staff allowing what looked like to a normal being a small ball of light but to him it was a small fae looking creature that zipped around his head with small quiet laughs, his other spell was different as he allowed the mana he shared with Edgest to flow over his wand making tendrils of fog like substance stick to the staff ready to fire an small arrow. "Even though I may not be the best at combat spells, I have picked a few up that would be enough to even stun you great forest guide," he said with a cheeky grin.

He walked through the forest behind the Elf-Orc watching the small Fae hover next to him not saying a word apart from the odd look in his direction before Edgest mentioned "Randal, large root" giving the young mage enough time to unelegantly step over the obstacle before the wraith spoke again "Your wondering why it doesn't talk like me? Well its because most spirits power themselves off energy when they don't have enough then they won't be able to talk or do other normal human stuff, the more a spirit is used the more energy they will gather" with a quick nod Randal looked back at the Dryad to make sure she was still close enough to them before giving her a small smile.

"And risk should not be taken with such a carefree attitude," Qadim barked back as he placed a hand on a tree before closing his eyes. There, he connected to be one with them, talking their language to pass on their message to the lead of the area, warning about the potential threat so it could be dealt with while he was away. With the message sent, he added on, "If it was instead a poison that would have taken your life before the next daybreak, would you have still given such a calm statement? Risk is one thing, but recklessness is another."

There were no questions about how they would be moving, but the boy made a quick comment about potential danger, making the elf orc bolster in a vigorous laugh. "Which is why there is a guild of skilled trackmen and hunters that patrol these lands, or did you already forget my job? When a threat is nearby, the trees will talk about it before we arrive, just like how a neighbor talks about any other nearby commotion. Now then, get whatever light you need out, the canopy is thick, so little light is able to peer through." However, instead of bringing out a torch himself, Qadim's eyes had a quick glimmer of blue pass over them before turning to the woods. "Be sure to watch your step. Some of the roots are raised high," he added on before marching through the woodlands, occasionally looking back to make sure the pair were following well enough.

As soon as the bow was put in her hands, she felt the weight of it pull her twiggy arms down. "What?" she asked confusedly, before her eyes widened in shock upon seeing Qadim lift Randal into the sir. Elowen felt sure that a fight was about to break out, but she had no idea what to do. A sigh of relief escaped her when she realized that the elf orc was only trying to help. Although she wanted to help Randal pick up his things, the bow was too heavy for her to move, at least with her tiny amount of strength. "Perhaps unnecessary risk would best be avoided," she offered, looking softly at the two of them. "Thank goodness Qadim was here to keep you from, well, dying." Her expression changed to one of gratefulness, and Wen nodded at the forest guide.

Relieved when the bow was removed from her grip, the Dryad's smile returned. "I've lived in these woods my whole life, and I can guarantee there will be danger," Elowen confirmed, her eyes darting down to Randal's hand for a short moment. "I have always been able to hide from any threats, but I fear for your safety." She made a pointed glance at Randal, who clearly lacked much experience in dealing with danger. "But we aren't getting anywhere just standing around all day. Let us proceed." Waiting for Qadim to lead the way, she folded one of her hands over Randal's, gently squeezing it before pushing it off her arm and accepting his offer to help with a simple nod.

The young mage looked at the Dryad's hand before placing his ontop of it allowing a small smile to grow before being jerked away by the large forest guide forcing him to spit out the plant but instead of looking nervous Randal muttered through great struggle as his collar was still being held "Could I have the name of the weed?" as he was dropped rubbing his sore neck he looked up to see the floating image of Edgest smirking at him "I could have told you that" as the mage seemed to try and grab at thin air the wraith retreated back avoiding the harsh sun in the shadows of the trees, "Son of a… but thank you for the assitance Qadim, but progress cant be gained without risk".

He stood brushing off some dust on his robe before shaking his head to the Orc's question before walking over to his bag to proceed to put his scrolls and books away and to mention "Elowen when we have the next break I could always help you with the basic books? you know to help speed things along" leaving one book out and handing the rather thin book with the title 'Maps Maps Maps' and the pages filled with diagrams and paragraphs of cities and towns, "It should help you get an understanding of the basic layout and culture of the city we are going to" Edgest appeared beside him once again with a frown, "I do not trust this forest it gives me a bad feeling" with a sigh Randal quickly changed topic and asked Qadim "I have a gut feeling theres danger ahead, perhaps we should be on the lookout?" before putting a hand on Elowen's arm.

Qadim sighed as the boy went overboard with the books, going insane with cultures, communities, noble families… everything flowing out of his mouth like a waterfall… and speaking of mouth, the plant he had been chewing had been itching at him the entire time, his brain trying to calculate what it was until it finally clicked. Stepping over to the dryad, he told her, "Hold this for me," handing her his bow without much question before marching down to the mage.

"Hey, boy," he told him, kneeling down quickly to grasp the front of his collar before lifting him off the ground, away from his studies before his other hand grabbed the end of the leaf that stuck out of his mouth. "Say 'Aaahh'," he demanded, his eyes staring directly into the human's, "unless you enjoy kneeling over with uncontrollable bowels for the next three days as your body tries to pass out the toxins you are slowly ingesting." One he did, he let go without making him any closer to the ground before crumbling up what was left like a messy piece of parchment before tossing it into the woods. "To think that weed found a place to grow. I should let her know  before it gets out of control.

"Anyways, a quick hike through these woodlands can take a day and a half if we are quick and navigate correctly. No one gets lost, and we use our breaks wisely, and we should be out the other side by tomorrow's full moon." Stepping back to retrieve his bow, he crossed his arms before asking, "Any questions?"

Her mouth twisted into a pout for a small moment, but she supposed there was really no point in arguing. They both made an excellent point at how she would be inept at adjusting to society with her current lack of social skills. "Well, I suppose I could use the help," Elowen admitted, tugging at a loose strand of her green hair. She nodded approvingly at Randal's apology, accepting it as a genuine one. If his disbelief came from those around him, she couldn't blame him for his odd remark. Although, she did wish he would stop eating harmless flowers; it was a little off-putting. "So we'll go to Mamlak, yes?" The path Qadim had gestured to went through the forest, a place she'd feel comfortable in but had just spent days trying to get out of. Shame to find out she should've gone the opposite direction.

"I'd love to disagree with you, but you're both correct about my, um, limited knowledge of the rest of the world's customs," Elowen stated, shrugging her shoulders. "Which is why Randal's many books," she stopped to chuckle, "will most definitely come in handy." Even though Serci had wanted her of personal boundaries, the young Dryad saw no harm in lightly patting the boy's shoulder. A content smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "And with Qadim as our guide, the journey will hopefully be a short one."

He put his hands up in mock surrender "Apologies, I'll keep my thoughts to myself next time" he chuckled before allowing himself to smile at her statement and hearing the Orc's statement "I grew up Adeluna, and the only deity I ever heard about passing through was a rather small lizard man, always thought it was a start to a weird joke? so perhaps getting information from a new city would make it more likely we would find her temple?" he walked up to Qadim shaking his rather large hand "Thanks for helping us it would be dangerous to go through the forest alone most likely due to how big it is".

After a few minutes of thinking about the problem at hand and a lot of chewing of a weird yet colourful plant he had found he rose a finger "Qadim is right, how can I put this gently 'Very Innocent' for this world, someone might decide to take advantage of that so I think I have a few books about the history of the kingdom, common etiquette, how to eat, drink and…." his rambles continued as he was pulling books and scrolls from his bag not even asking if she could read or if this was the best course of action simply letting the mage's love of reading take over as he started to explain about the basics of the books and the best parts and even suggesting other books that would do great once they are out of the forest before stopping himself with a deep breath and a shy smile "Oh uh sorry, its seems I got a bit carried away" letting out a small chuckle.

Qadim could not help but chuckle with the human's comment, muttering, "Bandits are the least of anyone's worries," having rescued a few of them from the woodlands, only to return them to the guards that were summoned to the entrance. To him, it was but a mere price to be paid for not dying in the woodlands like the many others before them. However, he could not help but nod to them a bit when offered to help guide them to a city. However, the Dryad was quick to bring up argument against it, making sure he protected his home while she was gone.

"I would not fret too much, my dear," he assured her, "as I am not the only one who protects these woodlands. The Laeto Forest is large, so it takes more than one set of eyes to ensure it will be safe. I am sure one spare hand would not be of any harm. Not only that," Qadim turned back to the woodlands and pointed through it, "but the nearest civilization rests upon the other side of these woods, being the Golden City of Mamlak," before turning back towards them, "unless you wish to avoid heading through these woodlands, where South would be the way to go, down to the city of Adeluna. Either way, I would have no problem guiding you there if you still desire.

"The bigger problem, though, are the rules of society that you will be new to, correct?"

"Thank you, Qadim. I shall return, one day, but that may be a long way away," Elowen responded gratefully to the elf orc. She was intrigued by what she understood to be two races being represented by one person. The thought piqued her curiosity further about him, but she shook her head at Randal's suggestion. "Oh, no. I couldn't ask that of you. You seem to be very integral to the safety of the forest, which is much more important than my own." A gentle smile crossed her lips, and she bowed to Qadim to show her respect for his duty. "I trust you will keep my home from falling into chaos, sir." As she straightened up, Wen turned her attention to Randal, tilting her head slightly.

"Angela is a goddess, so I would not treat her title so flippantly. I'll not tolerate that kind of talk, if you join me," she scolded, nearing his side. With that said, the Dryad beamed brightly at him. "I don't exactly know where I'm going, but I'm sure to get there in no time now that I have you to guide me. We can find the nearest city!" Her attention snapped back to Qadim. "Would you happen to know where the nearest form of civilization is, sir?" she asked merrily, feeling the sun's warmth temporarily leave her as a cloud passed overhead.

The sudden pain in his head made him wince slightly as the echoed voice of Edgest shouted out "Angela! according to other spirits she's a deity here in this realm, perhaps finding one of these beings will get us closer to our joint goal" with a quick rub of his forehead replied to both statements from the Dryad and his wraith, "I highly doubt she's likened to Gaia I simply can't see how a mortal can become a goddess" he smiled sadly before letting his curiousity get the better of him "But perhaps finding a so called deity would be an interesting story to tell" this gained a smirk to Edgest's old face before he disappeared into his mind.

He walked over to a bush of Lavender picking a few and chewing one, "But I'm sorry to ruin your plans Elowen, but these forests are filled with bandits and other aggressive things, which I'm sure the Elf-Orc would agree on so you may need help getting to a city or town where you can buy protection or a bodyguard" his voice seemed confident which was rare in his case but Randal thought it was necessary to get his point across just in case the innocent girl was kidnapped or worse killed. "Perhaps Qadim would be kind enough to guide us to the town you plan to head to?" he finished packing the contents of his bags with many scrolls and a glass canteen hanging from it to protect them from being crushed during his journeys.

Qadim stood still as the dryad danced around him, eyes washing over him as she danced around him, intrigue and curiosity plastered all over her face. She must have been from the a forest deep within Laeto, as her actions clearly showed any lack of knowledge of beings outside of her woods. "Forgive my rude introductions," Qadim stated, bowing his bare chest to the pair before him as his bowhand rested on his hide, the sheath of arrows resting more along the back of his belt than his back, feathers decorated with numerous colors. "I am Qadim Celetanas, the elf orc that manages these woodlands during the day, guiding those lost within her grasps to the open skies and dealing with those who dare do harm to the trees."

Raising his head, he looked at the dryad before smiling, showing a small tusk in his lips before telling her, "I wish you best on your journey to visiting Lady Angela. May you learn much on your journey while never forgetting about your homeland. I am sure your kind will miss you while you are away."

Elowen flinched at the mage's sudden harshness. Though he did not seem to be addressing her, there was not anyone else around for him to address, so she assumed she had offended him in some way. However, the next moment he was back to his original calm manner, greatly confusing the Dryad. "Uhm…" Unsure of how to respond, Wen was grateful to hear another friendly voice call out from the direction of the forest. Darting around Randal toward the direction of the new stranger, her eyes brightened at the sight of him. Nonhuman, something new. She beamed and circled him, studying his features while keeping a reasonable distance between them. Considerably older than Randal, at least in appearance, and far stronger, from what she could tell.

"Oh, it is unusual, but I've heard of others who've left," she answered, still preoccupied with her study of the newcomer. "I decided that I'm going to see Gaia– sorry, Angela. Although I have to admit, I haven't actually considered the dangers. But I'm sure I'll figure out some form of protection." Finally, Elowen stopped between the two of them, smiling innocently at the men. "Who are you? I've never seen you," she asked the elder one.

The spirit beside him laughed loudly, "I believe the term is Airhead" the young mage tensed up muttering "Shut up, you know they cant hear you" before quickly turning to the Dryad rubbing the back of his head "Sorry, Uhh Handsome I don't think so there are a lot more people better than me out there, but my name is Randal Hex First and last of the house Hex" the wraith had the look on pity on his face after hearing the boys story about his parents during their travels deciding to re-enter the mages mind allowing him to deal with the situation alone.

He nodded at the Orc's comment "Alas it is a strange occurrence for creatures like you to be out from the central spring where your kind reside? I believe the scrolls stated that out of fear of being unprotected many years ago that beings from your kind sought shelter from the depths of the trees creating a new subspecies of dryad, hopefully, that is correct?" he glanced at the Orc for agreement before continuing "however I view all life as equal and that must mean that you are out here wanting something, so I can ask what?" he smiled widely holding his staff behind his back and chewing on a weird looking plant he found from the floor.

The trees were talkative about a current event. One of the many dryads walking out of the wooded boundaries. An oddity, for sure, as most he had met were ones who preferred the safety and comfort their kind gave each other, along with being able to meld into what the were around, making it easy for them to hide from pursuers. After all, what better place to hide a leaf than in a forest? Still, it was his duty to make sure all was right. Was she not getting enough light? Or was it that her grounds had turned contaminated? There were no fires to cause panic, that was for sure.

With bow in hand, Qadim bounded through the trees, carefully watching the paths for souls who had become lost in the forest's arms as he followed the voices of the trees and where they said the dryad left to. This led him down to the edge where he caught sight of her, keeping herself light on her feet as she greeted a passing human. With a smirk, he dropped down to root level before heading closer, slowly getting to hear the conversation, barely getting to the point where he complimented the man's looks with a child's innocence. However, he waited within the trees still for them to finish introductions before finally stepping out and making himself known.

"I am glad everything is alright," Qadim commented to the dryad before giving the human a nod. "The trees could not help but comment on your movements. Made me worried something went wrong with the land."

Images of her home and vibrant colors floated around in her dreams, and her lips were curled into a soft smile. After a while, Elowen was awakened from her nap by a stranger's voice. Her eyes fluttered open, and she saw him coming closer. Smiling dreamily, the Dryad pushed herself off the ground and skipped lithely to meet him. "Oh, believe me, this is the best I've felt in my entire life!" She reached out to touch his shoulder but, remembering Serci's advice on personal space, thought better of it and retracted her hand. For a moment, she simply stared at the young mage, taking note of his physical features and how different they were from the previous two men she'd met. It was almost refreshing to see that there was so much variety among humans.

"My name is Elowen, sir," she greeted. "I'm afraid you'll have to excuse me if I act a bit odd. This is my first time outside of the forest, you see." As the words left her mouth, she sighed and lifted her face to the sky. The sun was now at its highest point, and she could feel her body absorbing its energy. Absentmindedly, she began pulling strands of grass from her wild hair, her gaze now returned to the stranger in front of her. "Hm…" Elowen hummed quietly, thinking to herself before stating bluntly, "I may not have a very good basis on which to judge you, but you are quite handsome. What is your name?"

The young mage wander through the forest carefully avoiding the large roots the seemed to erupt from the ground sometimes a job was necessary so that he could continue living with a full stomach even if his housemate didn't require food, this is why he had taken to the forest to pick herbs that were needed for medicine and other unsavoury items before he could even think of the list he was given the pale blue ghost stretched beside him moaning out loud "Must we truly be out this early brat? I mean the sunlight truly is a unpleasant sight for Wraiths you know" Edgest spoke loudly making the brat in question feel the daggers being stared at him with a sigh Randal replied curtly "I'm sorry Edgest but unlike you I fancy some damn meat, which means I need money and yes I was hoping the sunlight made you go away" with his comment said the old ghost stroked his long wispy beard with a bitter face before fading out from sight and letting the mage feel the heavy weight of the ghost burden his brain.

Randal thought hard as he picked bright flowers and strong smelling herbs, he had never thought gods existed where he came from the ones they worshipped stayed in their heavens and never interfered with the order of the world, but since coming here he had heard stories of their power if they truly did walk among men were they gods at all or just Conquerers dressed with fancy titles his thoughts stopped by a grizzled voice entering his ear "Randal, do not get distracted in thought tis a trait much to often with you" the glowing thin hand laid on his shoulder before he stood looking back at the wraith "I know and Im truley sorry, but sometimes questions annoy me until answered" pocketing the supplies the wrinkled man spoke quickly "Now that your done I thought it best to mention how I sense somethings prescence, Non-human" with it being said the mage picked his staff from the tree and looked cautiously around heading towards the plains infront of him he noticed someone laying in the grass ahead with a disapproving shake of the head from his invisilbe counterpart Randal walked forwards with a quick "Hello? Are you okay?" fearing the worse for the stranger.

When Elowen glimpsed the sparkle of sunlight peeking through the dense forest, she nearly shed a tear. After days of trudging along in the dullness of the Virens Forest with little daylight to provide her with energy, she had begun to think that continuing onward was hopeless. But her desire to know the world drove her forward, and Wen was happy for it. Her golden eyes brightened, and she raced forward toward the thinning trees, approaching the end of the forest. Before she exited, however, the Dryad took a moment to observe the vast plains that bordered the woods. She was fascinated, having never been in a place that was not completely full of trees. One step, then two, five, and she was running. Wen had never felt more energized in her life, and she felt that she could run forever, until–

A sharp breeze blew her mass of green hair into her face, causing her to stumble and subsequently fall onto the ground. Falling seemed to be a common occurrence for her, recently. Undeterred by the minor mishap, Elowen sat for a moment on the ground in the tall grass to pull her hair into thick braid. Much better, she thought, lying down and taking in the vast expanse of land before her. Although she'd only been out of the forest for a few minutes, she could already see her pale skin taking on a more vibrant color from the sun's rays. To her, it was like being constantly full and never hungry. The feeling was so comforting that she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, dreaming of sunshine and Mother Angela and what it would be like when she finally reached her.
