As he tried to get up Lily could only shake her head. He was human after all, it took him longer to recover. She still wasn't one hundred percent herself but she was able to make herself look ok by focusing her energy upon her appearance and maintaining her form rather than recovery. When asked who had taken care of them she said, "Well, I haven't been awake long but I woke up once and…" she was interrupted as the elderly man came in. Instantly his attention was on Kyro. Apparently he was something called a holy knight and some kingdom had fallen. When their conversation had paused she looked between the two. "Angelic kingdom? As in angels? Aren't those like little people with wings who go around granting the wishes of people who do good deeds or something?" She really had nothing to contribute to this conversation so she figured she'd try and at least get the facts straight about what they were talking about.

The sun was seeping in through the blinds, Kyro silently slept his ankle not hurting as bad now. "I'm sorry.." He mumbled. Several hours passed and Kyro was still asleep on the hospital bed. His face looked so young snuggled up in the blanket like that, although he had a few scrapes here and there, he was okay. His silver hair glittered as the fading sunlight poured in. His arms were sore, even though he was asleep he was aware of the pain, but it had been numbed by the beguiling call of sleep. His heartbeat was slow as he slept, his coat shifted softly at an evening breeze. Small birds chirped as they prepared to hide away for the night and return in the morning light. Kyro was deep in sleep..

Thirty more minutes and he stirred to the sound of Lily's voice, he looked up only seeing a blurry version of Lily until his eyes cleared. He smiled gently at  the sight of Lily relived that she had made it. His limbs felt like they were lead, as he tried to move them dull pain surged through them. His eyes focused on Lily, "Hey.." he sighed and began sitting up, again met with that dull pain. He struggled to get up and ultimately gave up. He held his arm were he had been injured last night, "Who took care of us?" He sighed as he looked around, it was a nice place, somewhat cluttered but it looked safe. Kyro's hand met with his two swords leaned up against his bed, another sigh, but of relief.

"you're a Holy Knight, aren't you?" and elderly voice said. Then a just as elderly man came walking out, a cane in one hand, a book in another. He stepped out with a gentle smile on his face, "What's a Holy Knight doing this far in the Plains of Bohar?" The man reached the two of them and sat down on Kyro's bed, this man made Kyro comfortable.
"Well.. The Angelic Kingdom… fell.."
"Fell? That place was like a fortress, how could it just fall like that?" the elderly man gave a snap of his bony fingers.
"Terra…" Kyro looked down at his hands, He was beginning to remember..
"I.. See.." The old man looked down at the floor.. "No need to pester you anymore.. How are you feeling?"
"I'm a bit sore, but i think I can walk.." The old man was still lost in thought about the Angelic Kingdom.

It was a dreamless sleep that had taken her. One moment she was falling unconscious after a fight, the next she was on her back slowly opening her eyes. Her mouth was dry, she felt like it had been days since she had last had something to drink. Her limbs were heavy and she struggled to raise a hand to her forehead. The movement brought a sharp pain to her as her wound had not healed yet. Her head was hot, burning. She heard feet scuffling off to the side, she turned her head but couldn't see clearly.  It was like she was in a haze. A soothing voice drifted over to her and she felt a cold hand on her forehead. "Shh, it's alright deary. You've got a bit of a fever." She tried to speak but couldn't, she ended up just mouthing the word water. The cold hand vanished from her head and moments passed. Then the sweet cooling bliss of water was held to her mouth and she drank greedily. "Sleep a while longer my dear, when you awaken next, you will be healed." As if lulled by his words, she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer and fell into another dreamless sleep.

The next time she awoke her mind felt much clearer. She sat up and looked around. She was in a village, thw sun was just setting. It had only been a day since their encounter with the poachers. She was currently in a doctors office from the looks of it. There were multiple beds lined up, most of them empty except for hers and one other. She recognized the person in the other bed. It was Kyro. His ankle was wrapped and she wondered what happened. She quietly got out of bed and made her way over to him. He was asleep. She newly by his bedside and said In a whisper, "Jada naejot rhaenagon se tubis issa lekia." She lightly poked between his eyes.

Kyro suddenly rushed over to Lily, tears beginning to fall, another person in his life, gone. He went on his knees grabbing Lily, his arms shook as he saw her like this. He then ran over and picked up the blade, he then sheathed his bloodied sword as well as the other blade in another Scabbard. He then picked Lily up and put her in his arms. He then began running towards a village he knew that was near-by. He ran and as he ran the sun slowly peered over the horizon.
As Kyro ran Lily’s blood would stain his coat, he didn’t care. His equipment jingled as he ran, the two swords hitting each other as he ran. He was also injured; a deep gash in his left arm, and again, it didn’t faze him. Soon he saw the village overhead. He soon set Lily down and took a quick break, exactly five seconds later he picked her up again and continued running, he felt every single foot fall as he ran, his lungs screamed from him running two miles straight at top speed.
Kyro ran, and ran, every footstep resonating causing agony for him, he was still bleeding, and that cursed blow sure was a heavy attack. Suddenly Kyro stepped in a hole, a slight pop was heard and soon Kyro let out an agonizing scream. He shook it off and continued running. Soon he was at the village entrance; several villagers were staring at the two. Kyro cried out “PLEASE! She’s… She’s Dying!” suddenly an elderly man came out of the crowd, he was still half asleep, but he suddenly saw the two and woke up instantly.
The old doctor suddenly said “Don’t just stand there! Help them! Can’t you see the Swordsman has just about broken his ankle trying to get that young lady here!?” Several villagers came and helped the two into the doctor’s house. The house was dimly lit, and had a almost over powering smell of herbs and spices. Soon they went through a door way. The frame was a wood of some sort. They went inside and saw several beds, almost all of them where empty which reassured Kyro. Lily was put on a bed and the doctor started treatment on her, while Kyro was put on a bed, he fell asleep almost instantly.

It wasn't long before her failsafe was needed. How just a sword could break through not one but three protection spells and still have enough force to injure Kyro baffled her. That is until her spell took effect. Pain rippled through her as the wound transferred from him to her, but it didn't come alone. She felt a darkness alone with it. "Cursed strike." She said quietly and she steadied herself, holding a hand against her wound to try and stop the bleeding. The curse had been severely weakened by the protection spells but she now understood why it had broken through. Her protections had been weak due to her lack of energy, and the curse was a powerful one. There was a blinding slight and she stumbled back a few steps. It burns. The voice in her mind wasn't her own. She grinned darkly and said to no one in particular, "Oh so you're that kind of thing. Please go on, tell me more." Drown in the darkness. She laughed bitterly, "Hm, I don't think I like that idea, go on." A pain landed through her head and the curse took hold. She fell to her knees an  held her head in her hands with a pained expression as she smeared blood in her hair from her hand. Break. Your mind will break. Embrace the dark oblivion or suffer eternal torment. She dug her nails into her head as the pain threatened to overwhelm and break her mind. You're losing. Fall into darkness. Her eyes grew wide as a pressure built in her mind, trying to suppress her conscious thought. Her hair fell in front of her face as she leaned forward an  let out a small whimper. "No." For a moment there was silence then she started laughing as if something amused her. She looked up through her hair at Kyro, her left eye was completely black. She smiled  demonic looking smile and said in a voice not completely her own, "Join us in the darkness." Her left arm reached  out to him, only to be hit away by her right arm. Her right hand then drew a sign on her left arm with the blood that still coated it from putting pressure on her wound before restraining it and with the last of her energy and control she said, "be undone." A radiating burst of energy seemed to explode from within her with the sound of a chain being broken to a company it. The blackness of her left eye faded back to her normal color and the aura around her mellowed into something docile and passive. She swayed back and forth on her knees as she stared in front of her with glazed over eyes. Blood dripped from her wound as she was silent. She then fell forward onto the ground. She had dispelled he curse but was completely devoid of energy. She couldn't even imagine how horrible that curse would have been at full power. She didn't even want to imagine… those were her last thoughts as her eyes closed and she drifted into unconsciousness.

Kyro was ruthless with his attack, it was like nothing but Lily mattered to him, if he were to fall in battle she would be vulnerable to an attack by this hunter, He would do everything in his power to slay this feind. Slash after slash of immense strength, He had switched to double handling Eclipse Blade, which doubled his power output, because he usually only swung the blade one handed. Every slash of his blade caused the blades to shake violently, Like two titans clashing there was no concern for the surroundings, if it got in the way it would have to move or become an obstacle. Kyro's eyes were those of an eagle's, and the hunter's, the ones of a monster, a sick smile held in the shape of the hunter's face, as blood seeped from wounds received from Kyro down his face, he wouldn't stop smiling. Kyro's rage burned a hole through the hunter's soul as he swung and swung the clashes of the blades rung through the night, but the two warriors were a perfect match for eachother. Suddenly the hunter's blade glew ablaze with a black flame that suddenly hit Kyro in the shoulder, all three of the orbs where suddenly destroyed as they attempted to block the attack 'Oblivion Judgement' Blood seeped from the wound Kyro had received but the wound was suddenly gone, but he saw Lily suddenly start to bleed, "Dammit Lily, that attack is too powerful for you to handle!"

The blade that the hunter wielded suddenly took on a dark tint, again he swung at Kyro but at the last moment before the swing he turned to Lily and Charged her, the blade shone in a dark tint and Kyro was already behind the hunter attempting to use some of that determination to stop this hunter from killing her. Furios slashes met the Hunter's flesh, blood seeping out of several wounds, Kyro suddenly tripped, he fell with a thud. He reached out for Lily but he couldn't reach her in time.. He had failed..
No..
Not again..
I refuse..
I REFUSE!! Kyro conjured another flame, it began glowing intensely, a rage burning in him "I REFUSE TO LOSE YOU!!" a blinding light suddenly engulfed them all, Kyro felt a great pain in his chest, he had done it.. he had won.. Suddenly he looked up at the night sky, the fire had gone, so had the hunter, all that remained was the silver sword that the hunter wielded. Kyro jumped up suddenly and what he saw shocked him..

Lily stood there looking almost bored as Kyro and the poacher known as the unicorn Hunter spoke to each other. She started laughing when he mentioned just leaving them with their catch. The fire elemental had returned to her and flew in circles around her head. "Oh looks like your catch got away, now it's time for some punishments for those who have given in so completely to their greed." She was ignoring the Hunter and Kyro but looking at all the other poachers with a smile that would have normal men pissing themselves. This was all a part of her fighting style, try to make an enemy slip up by fear or confusion or give into rage and become sloppy with their attacks. With Kyro keeping the most dangerous of the poachers busy she felt she stood a chance if she played her cards right. Though she had to make sure Kyro stayed safe as long as possible. She had to deal with the rest of this scrum as fast as possible so she could make support her main focus. She quickly cast a spell and with  a small apart of electricity it short from her hand and attached itself to Kyro giving him extra strength. Much more than that and shed be splitting her powers too much. Her eyes started to glow softly as she gave the surrounding poachers another creepy smile and said, "Let's begin shall we?" The air itself felt infused with electricity, making the hairs on people's arms stand on end. Suddenly she vanished only to reappear in that same instant in front of one of the men, she pulled two daggers from his waist line and stabbed them into his chest then pulled them out and vanished only to reappear behind another one of the men, she slit his throat. As she continued this cycle her mana was rapidly being depleted, but it was all working according to her plan. She had a few cuts and bruises from those who managed to fight back but their numbers were dwindling at a faster pace than her magic. As she killed the last of the poachers she bent over gasping for breath. Her method was fast but required enormous energy to do it and there for could only last for a short time. If they hadn't been so terrified when Kyro made his appearance and not been thinking rationally she doubted her methods would have worked, there was  a simple counter to her attacks but they were too frantic to realize. She turned her attention to Kyro, realizing that she had hear him yelling about dropping a sword about halfway through her fight. She collected herself, her aura no longer a demonic mimic but serious and calm. With a flick of her wrist she shot a spell of weakening at his opponent and wave of her hand and three blue orbs circled above the two ready to activate. It was a delayed protection spell, or well more like three. If Kyro was to take damage during an attack one of the orbs would suddenly be there to absorb the damage as it flared out into a shield shaped light. She lastly connected her magic to Kyro's form through the electrically charged air in order to monitor and instantly heal any damage she could. If the worst scenario came to pass, she had her secret weapon. It sat primed and ready. If Kyro was be attacked with a force she could not protect him against that would cause him to become incapacitated her spell would activate and allow the damage to be transferred to her and let him keep fighting, hopefully giving him enough time to take out the opponent.

Before Kyro could protest against her going by herself, she was gone. Kyro was happy that their friendship had taken hold, but he was worried. He sighed and sheathed his sword, he suddenly closed his eyes and conjured a simple flame of yellow and white. This was the tricky part, he focused on Lily. Her silvery hair much like his own, how she affectionately messed it up. He then flicked the flame onto the ground, suddenly he was whisked away to another part of the plains. Soon a very angry looking Kyroellian suddenly materialized with his blade drawn, the full moon shining on his blade of the darkest twilight. One of the hunters suddenly gasped "Holy shit! Its the Moonlight Swordsman! From the tavern about two days ago!" Kyro spun his enormous blade into a offensive stance. "I would surrender right now, poaching isn't nice" The hunters stood their ground, suddenly a large axe weilder stood up, "how about you leave us alone with our catch, i know that blade doesn't need anymore blood on it, Angel Slayer." Kyro grimaced at this name  this hunter gave him. "Is it a fight you want? Because its a fight you'll get, Unicorn Hunter."
"It is true, i hunt the most majestic beasts, but you'll be a just collateral damage, you and that 'girl'"
"Don't you dare touch her!"
"Oh it seems we've struck a nerve, aye fellas?" The rest of the crew a bit hesitant with laughing. Suddenly Kyro suddenly charged the hunter with the axe, but he managed to parry the attack but there was severe damage to his axe though, he struggled against the shear power of Kyro. Suddenly SNAP!! The axe broke in half and the amazing blade cut down into the hunter's arm. Blood seeped out of the wound and soon a punch hit Kyro, he fell back but soon he regained himself. The hunter brought out a silver and white blade. Suddenly the hunter flashed the flat of the blade, the Moonlight illuminated the crest that Kyro once worshiped, "no.. impossible.. WHERE DID YOU FIND THAT BLADE?!" Battle rage coursed through Kyro. He didn't know where he got the blade, but he needed to drop it.. NOW! "He suddenly charged Kyro, he barely had the time to parry but managed to, he suddenly pushed back as hard as he could, "DROP THAT BLADE!!!"

She nodded with his explanation of it having just been a bad dream and said with a relieved sigh, "Oh, well I'm glad you're ok." She still felt to blame for the whole of his misfortune that day but from his words about it not being her fault to the apology for worrying her she figured it would just be an endless back and forth type of conversation so let the matter lie. She did give him a smile and commented, "it's only natural to worry when a friend is hurt, so no matter the cause or who is at fault the same feelings would be there which would lead to the same actions and the same worry." She paused and blinked a few times as if just realizing something before asking, "Hey, it is ok if I'm your friend right? You seemed really reluctant to any sort of interaction before so I figure it's best to get your permission instead of just assuming."

She nodded as he thanked her and smiled at her. This brought another smile to her face. The nod was half to acknowledge his thanks had half to herself as she thought he looked better with a smile instead of that frown, much more approachable. With a mischievous smile she reached out and messed up his hair with one of her hands. "You're fun to be around when you're not all depressive and crying all the time." She said in a teasing manner as she suppressed a laugh at how she found his messed up hair funny.

She looked up to the stars and let out a sigh. "Having slept recently I'm not really tired, but it's night. What to do, what to do." She stood up and stretched. She looked t Kyro and opens  Her mouth to speak when a breeze drifted through the leaves of the  shrubbery. With the rustling of their leaves her eyes widened in surprise and she looked to the south west and said in surprise, "What…" another breeze and more leaves rustling from the long grasses this time. "Where?" She asked seemingly no one probably looking like she had lost her mind. She nodded in silence and her childish look was gone, she seemed gravely serious as she quickly collected her belongings. As she did so she spoke to Kyro, "I'm sorry if that seemed a bit…strange… my people have the ability to communicate with plants and animals, and I have been called upon. It's both from the pride of my people and that the ones in need of aid are ones that helped me out earlier when you were sleeping, getting clean water when mine was almost gone, that I must go. Apparently after they helped me she and her two children were been captured by a group of humans who intend to strip away their freedom, separate them and sell them to the highest bidder." She had finished  putting everything  in her bag and looked at Kyro and nodded, "If you wish to come with then I welcome it, if not, well then I guess this is where we part ways. Either way, they are about two hours southwest from here being held for the night. So I plan on breaking them free and punishing those who have fallen to greed." She let him know where she was going just in case he decided to come along but couldn't keep up. In the blink of an eye she as off running to the southwest at a speed that would match that of a wild animal.

When she first saw the fire, the humans had started as they ate and drank the night away in celebration of their catch. She sunk close to the ground and moved silently closer, taking in every detail of their camp. There was a cage off the the left half in the shadows being guarded by a single guard to make sure their prize didn't escape. She smirked as she cast her eyes over the rest of the camp, there were close to twenty men here. She would have trouble if she was spotted. No matter how fast she was twenty was violently to overwhelm her. No, she would have to go in stealthily to free the three she had come for. After spending quite some time analyzing the area and coming up with her plan she finally was ready to act. She set her bag down so it wouldn't get in her way and silently crept off to the left, hiding amidst the knee high grasses, maneuvering her way through them without making a noise. When she reached the area that the grass ended she was about ten feet away from the back of the cage. The guard was leaning on the front side of the cage watching the others sing, talk, drink, eat, just have an all out merry time of it. Inside the cage three pairs of scared eyes looked her direction as she just made her way out of she grass. She held a finger  Her lips then took a ready stance as she prepared her magic. Then in a flash she was no longer on the edge of he grass but behind the guard, one hand covering his mouth, the other had two fingers pressed into his lower back. It was already too late for him to shout for help as she had paralyzed him in his exact position. She let her hand draw away from his mouth now that it was clear he wouldn't be able to call for help. She was hidden from the sight of the others by hiding behind the guard. She stood still for a moment, making sure she hadn't been noticed before creeping to the back of the cage his in shadows. "Don't worry I'm here to help." She whispered to the three inside. I really do hate all humans, but I'm glad to see you girl. They mean to take our freedom, I can not allow this to happen, if the worst is to happen, please at least save my children. Lily reached through the bars of the cage and put her hand on the mother lions cheek. "I've come for you all and will not accept less than getting all of you out of here." The bars on the cage were a strong metal, they would take some time to cut through, and the only way she had to do so would be quite noticeable. She would need a distraction. She sighed and wished she had paid attention to if Kyro had followed her. It didn't matter now. She needed to get everything ready. She pulled forth her magic and pulled the shadow in deeper around the back of the cage, manipulating both  shadow cast and shadow weaving so that as she cast her next spell and summons a small fire elemental it's light would be blocked from prying eyes, well mostly, it was still likely to be seen, that's where the next part of the plan came in. She politely asked the fire elemental to us  it's power to cut through the metal bars so that the captives could escape, she then stood up, took a deep breath and teleported herself about ten feet off the ground in the middle of the camp. A dark look had taken over her features and that demonic like a wrapped around her like a cloak as she fell to the ground, this was part of the plan, as she fell she pulled back her arm and timed it correctly so that it shot forth and hit the ground before her. She had a smile on her face that seemed to be enjoying the chaos she was about to cause. As her hand made contact with the earth she instantly channeled her magic below her and had it radiate outwards. There was a rumbling then the earth exploded around her, bolts of lightning radiated outwards from the epicenter. She landed on the ground and immediately look the defensive. Her surprise attack wasn't very strong damage wise but it sure was flashy and it everyone's attention. Sure she could have focused on damaging the enemy but part of her flashy spell was explosion, that had as much of a risk to the caster as it did the target.  She let out a little laugh as the men quickly armed themselves. She smiled a dark smile at them as the demonic like aura around her almost seemed visible. "Before we get to all of your punishments for being controlled by greed" she said and her eyes flashed darkly as she continued, "does anyone want to play?" She knew she couldn't beat them all alone but she was hoping to at least buy enough time for the lions to make their escape.

Kyro sighed and calmed down, he sighed shakily and responded "I don't have a fever, i just had a bad dream is all." He looked back up to Lily and continued "I'm sorry i worried you with me being here. He saw she was looking down, "hey, i know that it wasn't your fault, don't worry about it. The duskstarted to darken as the sun slowly lowered under the horizon. Kyro sat up and watched as the plains darkened and the stars started to shine. It was beautiful and for some reason this was the first time in awhile Kyro looked up at the stars, it was a peacful night. Kyro looked over to Lily with a gleam in his eyes, and a small smile on his face "thank you for everything.. honestly that was the first time in awhile i got some actual good sleep." His gentle but fierce eyes closed and he gave a sincere smile to Lily, Kyro was getting too attached to Lily, but he didn't care, he would do everything to protect her. Kyro wasn't tired, instead he was determined to keep Lily safe, as he stood watch, in that moment it seemed color finally came back to his soul. Determination had given him strength, and he intended to use it to save her.

He sure is sleeping a long time, I hope he's alright.

It was near midday when she couldn't stand it anymore and had to get up, even if just for a while. She stood and stretched her arms into the sky looking at the clouds as they passed lazily by. She walked around for a while, never once letting Kyro leave her sight as she did so. He was her patient still and if anything happened she would be there. After about an hour of walking in circles she sat back down. Out of boredom she started reorganizing her pack. When she took out what remained of her water that wasn't contaminated by the blood she frowned. There wasn't much left. She looked around at the surrounding and scape hoping o just see a conveniently placed river or lake, he'll even a puddle would do, but she saw nothing of the sort. In fact all she saw was a wandering plains cat and two young plains cats. They were about as big as the mountain lions she had seen a while back but their frame was just slightly different. She called out to the lookalike cat and waved, "Excuse me my lady, May I bother you for a moment?" The lion looked at her with surprise at being able to understand the woman but started heading in her direction. When the lion and her cubs were close enough they paused and eyed Lily with suspicion. What is it you want human. I don't like your kind but that you can speak to us I shall make an exception, make it fast. Lily nodded an  with a slight cutesy responded, "Thank you for your time. I was wondering if you knew of any water nearby and if you could direct me there. I can't be gone long, I have someone to look after." She nodded her head towards the sleeping Kyro. The lion gave a huff. A run that way for about what you humans call a half hour and you will find water. She had nodded her head to the east. Lily looked to the east and bit her lip. That was a long time to be away from Kyro, he might wake up while she was gone. "Thank you for the information, sadly I dare not be away that long." She said and looked at Kyro sadly. It was her fault he was like this, she couldn't leave him for that long. One of the small lions let out what sounded like a sigh before communicating with her. Do you have anything of value for us that we can use as a trade, I will volunteer to get your water for you if it's worth it. She thought hard for a moment before snapping her fingers and saying, "Oh! I could give you a free meal? Whatever you would like. Would that work?" The lions looked at each other then nodded. After they told her what they would like she summoned up her dwindling magic to conjure the food. It took several casting  of the spell to do so but she managed. She was getting tired from this use of so much magic today, but she just had to wait it out. After the lions had their fill she produced the leather bottle her water would go in an  opened it so there was something for the lion to bite onto without spilling the contents. As they left she bows  to them and said, "I thank you for your kindness. If you ever need anything feel free to ask." They nodded and ran off to the east. She waited patiently for the hour it would take for them to go there and back. She was getting a bit nervous that they might not return when she saw them. The mother lion carefully held out the water container in her teeth and Lily accepted it with a smile as her eyes lit up. "Thank you so much." The lion huffed and turned away. Goodbye human. You're not too bad so we may call on you again. With that the lions left and Lily sat down next to Kyro's sleeping form with a sigh. Now she would have water at least. She as feeling so tired though. The events of the day were pretty crazy and it was only just past midday. She let herself fall backwards and look up at the clouds with another sigh. The clouds rolling lazily by and the warmth of the Sun caused her mind to dim and the next thing she knew, she was asleep.

Kyro had bolted awake near her and she slowly opened her eyes, awakened by the change in the aura of the surrounding area from peaceful sleep to one of slight panic. She propped herself up on one arm and rubbed at her eyes with the other. "Oh, it's getting dark already?" She said sleeping looking from the sweating Kyro to the sky. Her eyes then shot back to Kyro with a serious look. It wasn't hot enough at the moment for him to be sweating so much. She bolted upright and her hand shot out to feel his forehead, "Are you ok? Do you have a fever or something? You're sweating like crazy?" Her eyes then went wide with worry. "Did I miss some of the blood?" She asked as she probed forth into his body with her magic. He may feel a slight electric current almost like his limbs falling asleep but starting t his forehead where her hand was still taking his temperature. She got a very concerned look about her as she felt nothing amiss inside of him. She let her hand fall away from him then reached over for her water and held it out to him. "Here drink some water, don't worry nothing was added and it's new. Oh, you probably need something to eat too, you haven't had anything since this morning." Even though she had rested and restored some of her magical energy she didn't feel quite up to creating more food so with her free hand she dug in her pack and retrieved the other half of the bread she had given him earlier and held that out to him as well.

She looked at the ground for a moment and said in a tone wracked with guilt, " I'm really sorry about earlier. I didn't know my things had been contaminated. If it wasn't for me you would never have had to go through that, so I really am sorry and I hope you can forgive me." She kept her eyes lowered, not able to look him in the eye from guilt after she had seen to her duty of helping him recover.

Kyro fell into a dreamless sleep for a few minutes, that artifical rage exhausted him. In his mind he was just starting to process what had happened to him. He knew that she hadn't given him Reaper's Blood on purpose, but the thought still lingered. Suddenly, Kyro was dreaming, he was standing at the shore of an enormous lake, the sun shone brilliantly and Kyro wasn't in his usual combat gear. He was wearing a white coat much like his battle coat but this one didn't have his scabbard or his armor plates. He wasn't wearing any shoes or socks either, he was at peace. Blossoms of some kind fell around him peacefully. He sighed, relived from his nightmares at last. He heard wings flapping behind him, his heart sank. He turned around and saw.. her.. His heart started pounding, not of love, but of fear.

Kyro looked into Terra's blue eyes, he was petrified. "T-terra.."
"No need to be afraid, my sweet Kyroellian, its only a small bite.."
"M..mom.." Suddenly Kyro was in his old house, rain battered across the roof and windows. There was a warm fire going and candles throughout the house. He was sitting at a table while his mother. He stared at her and sadness overcame him, finally, peace and quite from his PTSD dreams. Shadows danced across the whole house, it wasn't intimidating, it was homey, and warm.

Suddenly the scene shifts to his old room, he lies in his bed playing with a gemstone his mother gave him for his birthday the day before. His mother and father walk into the room to say good night to him. "Kyro.. my dear.."
"Yes mom?"
"Would you like to hear a story?"
"Yes mama!" Young Kyro was excited about the littlest of things.
"Okay, snuggle up." Kyro's mothermother's hair was still damp from her bath awhile ago, she smells of lavander which makes him drowsy. After a cute tale of two puppies and another about a horse Kyro was asleep. "Come on Tori, your practically sleeping where you sit." Kyro's mother brushes some silvery hair out of her golden, tired eyes and follows Kyro's father into their room.

Suddenly screams are heard and Young Kyro bolts awake. He runs to his window and sees that his home is under attack, he then rushes down stairs screaming "Mom!? Mommy!!" He had tears in his eyes as he ran. What he saw scarred him for the rest of his mortal life. He saw his poor mother begging for mercy and his father slain and still bleeding. What happened next petrified him, the soilder towering over his dear mother suddenly slit her throat. He then turned to see Kyro, a sick smile across his face.

Kyro then bolted awake sweating furiously, he was breathing heavily looking out across the plains. The sun was now setting and the golden shine turned to a crimson-pink. He sighed and looked over to his side ane saw Lily and began looking down to the ground.

She was starting to get the picture about what was going on with every touch. The Reaper's Blood was coursing through him and seemed to be stimulating certain portions of his brain. She lingered just a bit too long as the pieces were falling together and took a sharp intake of breath as she barely managed to escape having her head chopped off. Instead she was left with a cut on her cheek that was leaking warm blood down her face. She kept at it though, things were becoming more and more clear. The Reaper's Blood was swallowing something within him. She was running out of time. She started gathering her magic to at least try a cure spell focused on the points in his brain the Reaper's Blood seemed to be affecting the worst as she fluttered here and there narrowly avoiding his wildly swinging sword. Just as she as about to go in and cast her spell on him he burst into howling screams and fell to his knees after dropping his sword. She kicked it away from him as she approached. Her eyes were wide as his eyes kept going m red to gold and back. In the end he seemed to have regained control over himself, but she didn't know for how long. He had tears in his eyes once again. Why is he so sad so often? She thought as he collapsed. She quickly closed the distance an  placed  again  on his head. She closed her eyes and was quickly able to read into what was happening with the maintained contact. He had wrestled the Reaper's Blood into submission but it wasn't gone. She quickly reformed her greatest curing spell, hoping that treating it as a poison that attacked  a certain part of the body would be enough to free him from it. She focuses  Her spell, gearing it to take effect in the areas that the Reaper's Blood had been attacking yet now remained under an iron fist of a will, and placed her free hand over his heart as she channeled the curing powers into him.

With the power of his will holding it in submission she was able to perform the extraction much easier than if it had still been running rampant. The curing magic did its work quarantining the drug within him then ever so slowly and delicately moving it to where her hand rested over his heart. With an intense look of concentration she held her breath as she slowly pulled her hand up away from his heart, a steam  of white magic connected her hand to his body as she pulled about a foot away from his body and within that white magic a blood red mist started to come forth from him and swirl about within the light. She kept pulling it forth with her magic until no more appeared from him. She removed her hand from his head and cut the connection to his body with that hand, now holding a white light between her hands that held a red mist that was quickly condensing into a small sphere of blood. She let out her breath and turned away from Kyro before thrusting the white light away from herself violently causing it and the blood to fly a few yards away where it splattered on the ground and the white light vanished. She was breathing heavily as she tried to catch her breath. It had taken such willpower of her own to wrench that awful blood away from him even in its subdued state.

Once she caught her breath she retrieved her pack and the blanket and manage  to maneuver Kyro into a much more relaxed looking position with his head resting on the blanket as a pillow once again. She then retrieved his sword and as she dragged it along he ground with both hands wondered how the he'll he was able to swing this thing around so viciously and swiftly with just one hand. She managed to get the sword sheathed then let herself fall into a sitting position with a huff. This whole thing hadn't gone as smoothly as she had hoped when she had first found that dead wolf. She thought it would be a simple matter of finding the injured, healing them, and leaving once they were recovered, but this…this was anything but a simple matter. A dark look came across her ace as she remembered those leaves. They had undoubtedly done their job even if they had been contaminated by that foul drug, for when Kyro had been attacking her if he had still been at such a lack of blood as when she had first healed him he would have been much easier to evade, but he had been a handful. She leaned back onto her hands as she watched over Kyro. He looked peaceful when he was sleeping at least. She hoped his mind was as peaceful as he looked. She reached over and brushed some hair away from his face then sort of spaced out watching the sun rise higher in the early morning sky and started petting his hair like he was a dog she was trying to comfort.

Kyro felt Lily touching him trying to do something, this made his artificial rage burn more furiously. He swung his mighty blade catching Lily on the cheek, giving her a small cut when sge was falling back. This rage was swallowing Kyro's light bit by bit, swing by swing. He grimaced and swung his blade again and again, his fury breaking his soul. The golden grasses darkened in Kyro's vision untl the only thing that remained was him and Lily in an empty void, the whole landscape was filtered out of Kyro's vision. Suddenly Kyro screamed bloody murder and dropped his blade onto the ground, dust floated up off the dry plains. Soon he fell to his knees, the red trying to fade away, Kyroellian was fighting this unnatural rage, he fought and fought as he always did. Red, gold, red, golden, his eyes flashed back and forth (Out of Character: Super Cliche) until they closed, it was only for a second, but he quickly opened them and looked up to the sky, tears rolling down his cheeks. He then looked at Lily, her eyes wide open, Kyro had beaten this drug, no, pushed back this drug, it took all his strength but he managed to control the unbridled rage and hatred. He then sighs and collapses onto the ground with very loud *Thud.*

Once, in Kyro's past, he had come across a dog, it was frail and alone.
Broken..
Hungry..
Wild..
Kyro felt terribly for the dog, he attempted to care for the dog, but it was too far gone, the wild dog bit Kyro when he reached out for it. He didn't blame the dog, but he blamed himself for not being more careful. As he ran home in the rain, he tripped and ended up falling into a puddle. But even with a hurt hand and soaked clothes he got up and ran home.
Determined..
Caring..
Lonely..
Tired..

She smiled brightly as he gave his name and said, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you Kyro, I hope we can be friends." As she explained where it came from it seemed Kyro didn't hear everything she had said. He seemed to focus one one thing, the Lady Angela's title of the Red Queen. She was confused at his apparent reaction. She nodded, "Yes Lady Angela, the Red Queen."  Then he spoke the name of the city she had stopped in briefly. "Adeluna? No these were from the desert. Though I did stop in Adeluna and had an apothecary show me how to properly dry them. Her confusion grew as he seemed to be in intense pain and ask why, stand and ask what she had done to him. What? What was going on? Why was he trying to draw his sword? That's when she noticed his eyes were turning red and gasped. Her mercury eyes held to his rapidly changing gold with a look of horror as he screamed in pain, fell to his knees, continued screaming, and cried.

What have you done you wretched child you have killed them all

The words fluttered through her mind as a memory of a past mistake was brought to the surface. Had she really made such a mistake again. Tears threatened to fall and her lip trembled at the thought of her having killed this stranger due to some mistake she didn't know she had made. That's when other words flirted through her mind.

…eyes turn red and there's an impossible rage… like a poison that just makes you want more… don't ever try Reaper's Blood.

The tears in her own eyes halted as she realized this was not like the past, this was something else. The memory quickly ran through her mind.

She had walked into the apothecary shop in Adeluna and saw a few people arguing with the owner, they wanted something but didn't have the money. She cleared her throat and the people looked at her, rage filling their blood red eyes. She recoiled against such looks, holding onto her package tightly and looking at the ground. She could still feel those eyes burning into her as they left the store. When they were gone she took in a ragged breath and looked to the apothecary. The old woman's warning was still fresh in her mind. Apparently this apothecary had something called Reaper's Blood that he was selling. It was like a drug that at first was euphoric then became rage as the effects wore off and the user yearned for more. A side effect was those eyes…blood red eyes. She would never have anything to do with this Reaper's Blood but she needed a quick herbology lesson and who better to ask than someone who made their living dealing with herbs? He had tried to get her to buy that damn drug but she had refused and after sometime he finally gave up trying to persuade her and accepted her money in exchange for lessons on how to prepare and dry her precious cargo. When things had been set up she had been asked to return the next day, that the fast drying process would be completed by the time she got there in the morning. When she returned the next day the store was half destroyed. Apparently those people from earlier had broken in funding the night and had made  a mess of the place. She had to wipe glass from her now dried plants but didn't look at them closely seeing as they were already a blood red color, but she should have seeing as it looked like blood stains on either side of her plants.

Now that she looked back it was painfully obvious, something had been spilled on her plants then dried along with them… something blood red in color so it was hard to notice on the same colored plants… "Reaper's Blood" she whispered and her eyes went wide as Kyro drew his sword and swung down. She quickly rolled several feet away from him and the blade as it got stuck in the ground where she had been. When he first woke he had mistaken her for his mother, then his words now… it was enough to cause a pain in her heart with sadness for him. He had to kill his mother, she reminded him of his mother. This was all…this was too much.

She doubted it would word, that words would get through to him in this state but she had to try as she thought of some way to fix her mistake. She should have been more aware. It was her fault he was in such pain and she would find a way to fix this no matter how long it took. She looked up from the ground to the raging man and stood. "Kyro, I'm sorry. I didn't know it had been contaminated with that horrible thing…" Her body began to give of small electrical sparks as she prepared to dive headfirst into helping someone who probably would be trying to kill her as he did so. "Just know… I will save you, even if it kills me!" With those words she darted at him with a magically enhanced speed. As she got within reach she activated the spell to first try and get a read off of him what was going on within him. For that she needed to make contact with him then analyse the small electrical currents within his body and how they were reacting. It was  difficult task and would normally take a while to do but she would have to manage somehow. She would be getting close to him, try to touch him somewhere when quickly retreat and repeat this process for as long as she needed to gain insite on what was happening before she would try and fix it. She would probably try a cure spell first and just hope it was as simple as that, but she was still a bit inexperienced with the spell so needed the insite of what was taking place in order to fine tune her spell to a certain problem so it would be effective. So it was this little dance of get close, attempt to make contact, retreat that she started in hopes she could fix what she had done. She could just run away and hope he got over it but she didn't think she could live with herself if she just left him in this state.

Kyro nodded and said to Lily, "I am Kyroellian Tarane once of the Knights of the Holy Queens, you can just call me Kyro." What Kyro heard next was almost too much for him to handle. He looked at the blood red liquid in the bottle and dropped it suddenly.. "Th..The Red Queen.." He was panicking at this moment as he soon felt a warmth. "F..From Adeluna.." He was suddenly overcome with intense pains in his chest. "W..why..?" Kyro tried to stand up, and he did, but he tried to draw his sword and was hit with ferocious pain. It felt as if his Holy Light was being smothered from the inside. "What have you done to me?!" He tried again to draw his sword but was unable. The golden plains where turning red and every heartbeat made the landscape ripple and his head spliting in pain. He screamed loudly as his head pounded in pain, he soon feel to his knees again and screamed again all the while tears streamed from his eyes from the pain. "Is this what you wanted TERRA!? Why Terra! I had to stop you from killing anyone else, why punish me NOW!?" Kyro was still screaming like nothing could stop his rage, he suddenly screamed once more and finally drew his enormous blade. Rage gleamed in his eyes as the blade swung down and gotten stuck in the ground.

Flash-Back
"Kyro, your not gripping the handle enough, you need to grip it with all of your might"
"Sorry Terra, I guess i'm not strong enough yet."
"don't worry, you'll get there."
"I hope you're right Mother, but until then, i need to get stronger."
"you do indeed." Young Kyro walked away looking a bit glum about not being strong enough to hold the blade that he had so instantly chosen. It had been 10 years since Kyro's parents deaths' he was 6 then and now, he's 16, not having parents was the hardest thing about his life, but after Terra had taken him in, life had gotten a bit better. Although kid at his Academy still picked on him in the earlier days, it never happened again after Terra had showed up to school in a huff about Kyro.

When it became clear he wasn't going to dart away she relaxed and the dark aura faded away. There was no need to be all serious and dark anymore, he had wisely chosen to listen to her. She assumed he had been about to ask if she was ok after making the comment about how getting the water to a boil must have hurt so she sent a smile his way that held an almost childlike innocence. "Im fine, I've done worse." Everything about the way she presented herself had changed, not only changed but was completely the opposite of what it had been when she was forcing him to stay. The smile remained on her face as she started digging through her bag again, this time a wrapped up loaf of bread. She tore it in half putting one half back in her bag and held out the other half as he asked her name then tried to take back his question. "My name? What problems would arise from asking someone's name? You have the right to ask whatever you wish just as I have the right not to answer if I please." She remained silent for a moment making it a little joke like she didn't want to say her name before she gave herself away with a quiet laugh and said, "My name is Lilith Aeron, but you can call me Lily." She smiled brightly before asking, "And what should I call you?"

She was watching him closely as he drank she didn't want him to waste a drop of it, those herbs were very hard to come by and it was a dangerous adventure to collect them and she didn't want to go again for quite some time. She noticed the slight change in him as he looked from her to the bottle and his eyes widening slightly. Maybe he could tell what the herbs were doing and was surprised at their miraculous properties? His next question was of no surprise to her when she thought of what she assumed was the reason for his actions. As the face of the woman who showed her these herbs and taught her what it could be used for when prepared different ways a small smirk came to her lips and she asked,"Can you feel it working?" She let out a little laugh and looked at him with an amused look. "Do you feel any different? Can you tell what it's doing?" She looked at the amount he had drank and nodded knowingly, "Yes, it shouldn't be long now."

She had momentarily forgotten that he had asked her where she had learned the recipe. "OH!" She said loudly then let out an awkward laugh "I almost forgot to actually answer. She was one of the first people I met when I woke up. Ah, she has so many titles. It was the Red Queen, Lady of the Land, the goddess Angela Rose. I was found by her bleeding to death with several broken bones and she healed me then gave me this." She motioned to the drink before continuing, "When prepared like this with boiling water it stimulates regenerative properties within the body, mainly the regeneration of blood." She waved her hand almost like dismissing what she had just said before looking all excited and saying, "But you could tell right? That's why you looked all surprised for a moment there, you could feel the difference it was making?" She looked at him with childlike excitement as if expecting him to answer that she was right.

Kyro was absolutely shocked at the healer, He didn't know what to say at the reaction of this. He was taken aback to say the least, he had never met someone so determined to take care. Her rage was demonic, but her intentions where the absolute opposite of what he had expected from a cheerful, almost childish person in a blue dress like her own.. He . then saw the bloodied dress and looked glum. She then watched as she made something, he was puzzled why the girl had used her hand to hold the bottle to boil. Kyro asked slowly "That must've hurt.. are you.." he stopped "Dammit why am i all the suddenly starting to get attached to people.." he thought this to himself as he took a sip of the blood red liquid she had made up. He sighed, it tasted odd, but good. Kyro set the bottle down and looked up to the healer, he didn't want to make her mad again, so he just asked a simple ?question "what is your name?" He then sighed and said "You don't need to tell me.. you've already done so much for me.. I am in no position to be asking questions.." Kyro was distant and he made it almost obvious why he was like this but he kept it that hidden that it was just out of reach of anyone trying to seek these feelings out. Kyro sighed and continued drinking this strange concoction that this demon healer had made for him. He then remembered a tale he had heard in the last village he was in.. "Crimson" "Madness" "Liquid" "Herbs." he was shocked he looked at the healer and then he looked at the bottle. His eye widened as he layed eyes on the bottle, he decided to play it cool.

"So, where did you learn this recipe from?" He was fighting every urge to drop the bottle onto the ground and draw his sword, but she wasn't convinced she was in line with what they call "Reaper's Blood" He waited for an answer.

Mother? She continued to stare at him but blink in absolute confusion as tears came to his eyes. As far as she knew she wasn't anyone's mother but here was this stranger, calling her mother and crying. She kept her awkward silence not knowing what to say but allowing off to the side as color stained her cheeks from embarrassment from this confusion. She glanced back in his direction as he apologized for his tears and well she assumed the whole situation. She was about to reply that it was nothing, she was only doing her duty and that he should rest and recover but her words never came for when she opened her mouth to speak he was already trying to get up and leave. She slowly stood as he stumbled about. When he offered her a bag of coins she simply stared at it quizzical wondering what it was. She accepted it when he said it was a thank you to her and opened it only to get a questioning look on her face. Why was she being given these coins? Healing the sick and injured was her duty, not a job. Speaking of which she realized she should really get him to lay back down and recover more before he tried moving about. When she looked back up from the bag to voice her thoughts he was already walking away.Bad move.A dark nightmarish aura seemed to eliminate from her as a dark look came over her eyes. What was he trying to do? He was her patient and she had not given him the ok to leave. Yet here he was moving farther away from her every second. With inhuman speed she was suddenly behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder to stop him as she spoke in a clear voice darkened by the mood, "Where do you think you're going? Did I say you could leave?" The dark aura seemed to radiate from her as she stared at him with a look that would case babies to cry and cowardly men to back down. "Your treatment isn't finished. If you try and leave now you'll just get hurt again and I'll have to use more energy to heal you again." She said in an ominous tone as she held only his shoulder and with a strength a bit suspicious for her body size she pushed him to the ground then quickly went and grabbed her belongings and threw the blanket she had used as his pillow at his face. She loomed over him and said in a dark tone, "Lay down."She then opened her bag and rummaged around until she pulled out a small package of red leaves and a container of water. She put her bag down then locked eyes with him and shot a ball of fire out of her hand onto a few sticks that just ever so conveniently happened to be off to the side. The action almost seemed like a threat for if he tried running away again. She then held the water container over the flames until it started boiling. This of course was very hot and hurt like hell but she didn't break her menacing gaze or let any indication that she was in pain. She then set the container down and crushed a few of the dried red leaves in her fist before emptying it into the water container. She let it sit for a few minutes. The water inside had turned to a delightful bloody red color. She then took a small cup out of her bag and poured some of the liquid into it. She sat on her knees next to him and said in a demanding tone, "Drink" she let a few moments pass before speaking in a much kinder and light voice,"Seeing as you seem to prefer to keep things detached from the small amount I've seen of you, just know I won't force any conversation or anything other than what I must to make sure you fully recover if that is what you wish, but I don't have any problem keeping you here by force if I must. You are not allowed to leave me until I say, those are the rules of being healed, at least by my people." She paused for a moment to let it sink in before finishing, "Now, are you alright with that or should I get the rope?" She had ended with an obvious joking tone to her voice. Rope, no she wouldn't need that to subdue a patient.

It took a few minutes until Kyro came too. He looked around dazed and confused. Then he saw her, "m..mother?" He said shakily. No, it wasn't possible, his vision soon cleared and saw a silver haired girl. Her hair was much like his own. He felt warm tears run down his face and he quickly wiped them away. He missed her, his mother. And seeing this person with hair much like his own, he broke down. Kyro then took a long glance at the girl and said "i apologize, that was rash of me. You looked so much like her though." His eyes looked tired as he said this.

Kyro attempted to stand up, after much protest and agony his muscles soon obeyed and Kyro was standing. But he lost his balance and used his sword to catch himself. He sighed and was soon standing straight, he was exhausted from walking so muchand blood loss. He soon flicked his enormous two handed sword. Dirt and blood flew off the gleaming black blade. Kyro then sheathed the enormous blade and was digging in a pack until he found a small burlap sack.

Kyro attempted to hand the sack of silver, copper, and gold coins over to the girl, "its the least i could do for you saving my life. Thank you.." it was painfully obvious that Kyro was trying to stay detached from this woman. For another reason except pride, pride was the last thing on his mind. He sighed and threw the bag onto with a clank. He then started to walk away, from his past as he had always done.

The open plains, this suited her much better than the cities that populated this world. The space, the freedom, the lack of people. There were just far too many people in this world for her liking, and they all crowded together at that. Haven't they ever thought about…you know … some personal space?

Long silver hair waved back and forth as the woman called Lily by those few she had met since her awakening skipped along the plains happily. She glanced around lazily with mercury colored eyes as she made her way into the unknown. She seemed to act more like a child that she should have. She appeared to be in her eArly twenties yet was skipping about humming without a care in the world. That is until she saw it. A large wolf lay before her and her carefree childish look vanished, replaced by a frown. The wolf was cut in half and had blood dripping from it's mouth. Serious eyes looked around in every direction. What had done this?

A trail of blood…

She walked over and knelt next to some droplets of blood that stained the grass. She carefully touched the blood and brought it  Her nose and sniffed at it. It smelled interesting. She didn't know what it was from but she would find out. Either way it seemed like whatever it was that had slain the wolf was wounded and that is one thing she would not just stand by for. No matter who or what it was, if they were injured it was her duty to help them. She stood once more and followed the trail of blood with her eyes. She could only hope they haven't gotten too far. She didn't want to be too late. She set out with long fast strides much the contrary to her earlier display of carefree innocence. She moved across the plains in a swift manner hoping to catch up quickly.

The sun was rising when she finally saw something in the distance. A figure fell and lay unmoving. She let out a hiss of breath and dashed forth quickly closing the distance between them. They were human, or at least looked it she didn't know for sure. As she got to his side she quickly dropped to her knees, blood now stained her light blue fluttery dress but she didn't care. She quickly found the wound and said quietly, "I hope it's not too late." She laid her hands upon his wound and called forth the magical within her. They spilled forth and she channeled them into the man's wound repairing what she could and creating new tissue where it could not be salvaged. She gasped as her energy drained, she wasn't used to healing anything larger than a bird to be honest, and maybe she had gone a little overboard with the amount of magic she used but she was hopeful that it would be enough to save him. She stopped the flow of magic once he seemed repaired and leaned back to observe him for a moment. She took off her back pack and pulled out a blanket before putting it under his head and nodding to herself. All she could do now was wait for him to regain consciousness. She sat still as a statue by his side staring at him without blinking just waiting in silence.

Kyroellian walked, and walked, as he always did. Away from his past. It was night and the stars shone brilliantly in the sky over the plains. Suddenly he heard some rustling in the grass, he stopped instantly his hand instinctively found the handle of his sword, "Eclipse Blade" it was a shiny black blade with a cutting edge sharp enough to cut through an average tree in one fell swoop. But a deep growling was heard in the grasses. Kyro inched his blade slowly out of the scabbard. Suddenly a great wolf jumped out of the grass and bit down hard on Kyro. He winced as blood seeped out of the wolf's mouth. Suddenly an enormous blade swung down upon the wolf cutting it in half. Kyro pried the jaws of the dead wolf off and kept on walking.  Kyro slowly walked on, he was still bleeding and had no medical supplies. Soon the going got so difficult Kyro could barely continue. "I..i'm going to die.. here." he said to himself. The sun had slowly risen while he was lumbering on. Blood slowly spilled from his wound. "please, someone.. anyone.." He then fell to the ground passed out. "No one will come.." he thought to himself.
