There are times when being a neutral party had its perks.

Hands on different tree branches as she made her way through the forest, Arelear found herself in the midst of one adventure after another – or so she told herself. She had broken off from her clan on a journey of her own, wanting to see how several of the cultures around the Laeto region were doing. Sure, her bird was in the sky scouting and her wolf on the ground in a forest that he clearly didn’t belong to, but that hardly mattered. Well, it hardly mattered to her. To Blaze, it probably mattered a great deal, but he was a wolf! Running was the sort of thing her familiar did!

She was just going to make a mental note to ignore the snort she felt in the back of her mind. Clearly it was the wind.

There was an intoxicating quality about being free to see the world when she wanted to. Nobles, cities, tribes and clans, all of them had a call on her time. To be here in the Laeto forest, well, that provided its own level of release because here no one expected her to be anything other than the scarlet jay upon the branches. If she released an arrow from the bow upon her back, it was to eat or defend and nothing more. No, sometimes a break was simply what was needed, and as her left hand brushed the leathers on her right arm idly, she took another leap towards her destination.

It wasn’t long before she found the place she was aiming for. Hot Springs, the likes of which she hadn’t visited in far too long, were up ahead. Relaxing, restorative, and all too enticing to check out. Hair flitting about behind her as she leapt from branch to branch, the dark scarlet clad woman was soon lunging from her perches to the ground. Landing with a soft thud, she glanced to her right as the copper wolf that was her companion caught up, huffing slightly at the sudden stop before snorting and trotting to the side to fade into the foliage again. Unperturbed, Arelear shrugged and moved aside the great leaves in front of her before stepping forth, glancing about to take in the waters she had traveled so far to reach.

Ahhh, freedom. What a lovely feeling indeed.
