Normally, those that wished to come to the Bastion and grace themselves before the presence of the lord would find themselves on the path to either the manor that stood as a beacon of power or his Grand Cathedral. Either way, he would waltz in if it pleased his lordship and entertain his guests, sniffing out what it was that they sought for him. Nemesis was used to most coming to surrender themselves to him in order to serve or wanting a blessing to improve their worldly status or self-worth. None with ill intentions towards his realm had previously ventured lest they seek out his dangerous temper. Yet, as he, in his lupine form, had been out hunting and killing prey himself to feast, he had felt something was off. The birds that filled the air with chirps fell silent. The beasts of the woods also were calm and quiet- it was out of their character as well and he had lifted his blood-soaked maw in the middle of his meal to comb the surrounding area mentally. He felt not many of his creations around, but he had felt a single bird right before it was snuffed out.
Something or
someone had dared to soil his realm with unneeded death, let alone of things that were specifically
his.
The white wolf soon turned away from the fallen elk, leaving it for his shadow wolves to finish and not let it go to waste. His crimson eyes burned with rage as he followed the direction of the tiny bird and found quite a mess along the way. It wasn't difficult for him to see that the bones were that of various creatures and the more complex ones belonging to those that were either wishing to seek his audience or of his own clergy. The wolf trekked through this unkept boneyard all the way until he found a boy that was calm among the carnage. He could see from the soft ebbing and flowing of his chest that he was asleep. Either he had been too weary to care about his place of slumber or he had caused all of this. The wolf's eyes kept on the lad as he silently circled around him, yet when he came full circle to his front, Nemesis stood in his natural form. Those red eyes continued to stare deathly at him, more than convinced that he had something to do with this.
"Now, what's a suitable punishment for our disrespectful friend", he pondered in a whisper too low to disturb his guest.
He pondered and wondered until a decision made his lips curl up, revealing the very tips of his fangs.
And like a mist, the shadows soon engulfed the two and removed the sight of not only the gruesome mess but of the Bastion entirely. It lasted for a few moments before the shadows flung themselves away and now the boy was resting in a field of various flowers and trees that housed chirping birds of different colors. The collage of their songs may have been music to the ears of many, but Nemesis had a hunch that it wouldn't do for the sleeping troublemaker. Rabbits, deer, and other friendly woodland creatures came and surrounded their location and the lord himself decided to play along with the ruse as his form shifted and molded into a tall elf of gold hair and eyes of violet. His dark robes brightened into that of green and gold as well and he was accompanied by an oakwood staff in hand.
"My friend, you must have been lost.", he spoke, his tone soft and filled with honey.
"But I get many lost souls here, don't fret now. Welcome to Feroxia. I am Gael, Keeper of Harmony." He pointed up to show that the sunshine brightly above them, accompanied by clouds that appeared to have smiling faces on them. A rainbow could be seen on the horizon.
"Now, what brings you to this sacred fields?" He gave him a friendly smile and took hold of a rabbit, cradling it softly in his arms.

And unwanted sound broke the once peaceful silence surrounding the Spirit. Opening one eye, which flooded red from a sudden rush of adrenaline. His sadistic side slowly began to take over. He slowly reached out his hand, and a black smoke slowly began to form into a long clawed hand. It reached out about ten feet before wrapping its grip around a small bird. The hand slowly dragged the bird back to the boys hands, as he held the bird softly.
"Oh, your just a little thing, aren't you." He calmly exclaimed, his voice as smooth as honey, but as cold as ice. Slowly, the bird began rotting away, into nothing more than decayed feathers and thin, hollow bones. He let the bird drop to the ground below the tree branch he resided on.
"Filth. Making noise during such a peaceful moment." He said. Closing his eyes once again, as the decayed feathers gently landed among the hundreds upon thousands of rotted fur, skins, feathers, and clothes littered around the tree. The bones landing among other animal bones, like elk and wild dogs, and even human, elf, and vampire.
Unaware of anything within 20 meters of him, he slept soundly, only to be awoken my something else…
