[OOC: This is a direct continuation of the end of the Revolution of Light event!]

While Sirona was busy helping the wounded who had been laid out on the pews in the Cathedral it was all she could do to not break down into full on sobbing. Others were crying, whether they were the cries of the wounded, or the grieving, it was all painful to hear. And it was all Sirona’s fault. She had pushed this war on the lands, she had been the one to find the connection she needed to bring the angels here to help with the Revolution, she had convinced her people that what they were going to do was righteous.

Then the people had turned on them, they hadn’t taken well to Sirona’s strong arm tactics or the invasion of yet another outside force. They rose up together and fought against Sirona’s forces and beaten them back, even Sirona’s own blood sister had fought against Sirona. Sirona was surprised she hadn’t seen Gabriel or Uriel out there fighting against her to, or perhaps she just hadn’t known they were out there.

It was over now, now they had to tend to the wounded, but what to do after that? Sirona was barely able to think on that right now. Even though she hadn’t know she was carrying the Revolution Aspect now that she was without it she felt hollow somehow, something was missing. ”Lady Glory, are you alright?” A female voiced asked as a gentle hand was placed on Sirona’s still armoured shoulder.

”Ye…” She started and then stopped and sighed sadly, it would be a lie to say that she was alright, of course she wasn’t it was plain to see. ”No, Luka, I’m not, but, please don’t worry about me, just see to the wounded.” Sirona replied with a tone that was sadly but also indicated she didn’t want to talk on that topic further.

”What should we do after the wounded are tended to?” Luka asked.

Sirona thought for a moment before standing to address everyone gathered. ”All of you have my deepest gratitude for you all have fought valiantly. You also have my deepest sympathy for how this all turned out, I wish things could be different but the people of the lands have shown what they wish to have in the world.” She sighed. ”All you, thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for whatever that might mean right now to some of you. No one will think any less of you if some of you wish to leave the Cathedral following your recovery.”

”What should we now?” Someone called out from within the faithful gathered.

”We recover and we rebuild, take care of own for now before we make our next step. It’s easy to see that the way people will us has been tarnished, we will work to correct that, in time. For now, get rest, tend the wounded, recover.” Without saying anything more Sirona turned and left then for her own private quarters.

Isolated within her private quarters Sirona didn’t last much longer and broke down into weeping sobs and she let the tears flow. As she made steps through the hallway her armour dropped off on its own one piece at a time, clanging on the floor behind her. A few moments later and Sirona was in just her light shirt and trousers, bare feet against the cold stone floor. Her body was covered in sweat and grime and some blood, her arm still a ragged mess thanks to Serafina.

Wings limp Sirona slumped against the wall, unable and unwilling to push herself to get to her bed chamber. It was as she slid her back down the wall that Lume, her pet owl griffin about the size of a house cat, came running over to her. He gave a hooting purr and then a hoot of concern as he jumped into Sirona’s lap who happily gathered him up in her arms before pulling her knees up as she sat on the floor.

Sirona wept as she held the adorable little creature close as he cuddled as close to her as he could. ”I tried, Lume, I tried. I tried to make this world a better place, but the world said no.” Sirona sniffed back tears as she petted Lume and hugged him close and just sat there, feeling utterly defeated and totally broken, both mentally and physically.
