”A long day of work deserves a great drink to bookend it,” commented white haired elf. He chuckled as his shoulder was slapped from behind as the two men walked through the threshold of Orme Observatory. ”Try to tell me that I am wrong,” he continued to pander towards the laughing assassin that strode beside. Elrand shrugged as the pair moved through the Observatory as if they owned the temple dedicated to the god of Wrath & Heavens. ”I’m sure he will have the good scotch in stock this time, right Dae? He is your future brother-in-law.” The elf turned his emerald gaze towards Dae. The shade hybrid shrugged his own shoulders as he knew that it was going to be a long evening of just Elrand’s mood either way. A particularly difficult contract had been brought to completion, which should have put them in a decent mood. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Dae glanced at the giant sword strapped to Elrand’s back as they walked up the staircase to the private sections of the temple. Small splashes of blood still coated the blade despite the extensive cleaning they had already done. The last thing the male pair had wanted to do was bring their work into the quarters that belonged to Alairia. Dae’s sister was the white light compared to the dark shadows that the men were. They respected the innocence that the woman was still able to maintain despite the family’s taint. ”We will do another wipe down before we get into relaxing. You still have some left on the sword, man,” Dae poked his friend’s mid-back while ascending the stairs from behind. El waved his dragon clawed gauntlet in acknowledgement.

Finally, they reached the top of the stairs where they could make it to the large multi-room quarters belonging to Dae’s sister and mate. Elrand glanced over his armor to see if he had missed anything else; thankfully he had not. A brow lifted in silent question towards Dae, whom responded with his own silent nod after having double checked his armor as well.

The caramel color skinned elf looked into the study where they often met up with Raith to have their drinks. He couldn’t help but smile to see that glasses had already been set out along with a variety of snacks that could be considered a full meal. Alairia had known of their arrival ahead of time in order to set up everything for the men to decompress in peace. It appeared that Ria was not going to make an appearance that evening.

Clink of armor along with weapons could be heard as they removed the gear to be placed in proper stacks. The last time that Elrand had propped his sword up it had been to Raith’s great displeasure since it had nicked the mahogany table. Each found a place to sit while waiting for Raith to join them. Neither made a move to pour a drink without the god present…especially since they wanted the better stock to enjoy that evening.

Elrand leaned backwards in his plush chair with head leaning off the back. Stark white hair was longer on the top, while shaved on both sides of his head. Pale gray markings traced his dark skin along with three dots that in the center of his forehead. ”You smell, El.” The words were softer considering the weariness combined with them, but still that humor could be sensed as Dae found a random way to insult his friend. ”Raith is going to smell you before he even gets on this side of the temple.”

The mercenary turned his head to look upon Dae. The dark haired shade had his eyes closed while stretched out on the couch. A grin was plastered on his face. ”Ass…” Elrand couldn’t deny the poke at him, but it was still a low blow. There was going to be a comment about it certainly. ”Where is he anyway? I need a drink.” Elrand leaned back his head again to close his eyes.
