Inwardly, Syn was thankful for Lord Raith had appeared to join the two of them. Dala was a small force to be reckoned with even for her young age. Despite her being adopted, the young woman was truly the daughter of Wrath. Crimson lips smirked as she looked forward to what kind of woman Dala would grow into. There was a slight pang of jealousy that she had someone to run into their arms. Yelling out ‘daddy’ with a loving embrace. Syn couldn’t remember when the last time she had someone care about her with such adoration. Clothes never disappoint, dearie, she thought to herself. In response to her own thoughts, the temptress shrugged with a little laugh.

Hip was popped to the side while arms remained crossed under her breasts. Seeing the anger drain from the girl’s face helped a smile spread across Syn’s face. Golden eyes seemed to sparkle a little as Dala managed to collect herself rather quickly. It was impressive for someone that young to control her emotions that swiftly.

”I am my patron lord’s personal assistant. There are many things that are brought to a god’s attention; many things that should not even be brought to his attention. It is my job to help sift through everything in order to make sure the dumb shit doesn’t get to Lord Raith.” She gave Dala a wink along with a mischievous grin. ”Last thing we need is someone to piss off your dad….even more.”

Syn blinked several times as she looked at the jarred troll liver. Her tanned skin seemed to blanch slightly at the sight of the organ. Elegant, manicured hands reached out to tentatively grasp the jar in acceptance of the gift. ”Oh…Mistress Dala…thank you…?”. She gave a weak smile while nodding her head towards the corridor that would lead to the kitchen. ”I don’t really use poisons or acids, my dear lady. This may be best used by one of my associates though. So, thank you for this. He will be greatly pleased with this item. I’ve heard him complain about supply chains lately.”

Hips swayed as she walked to the kitchen where her lovely sandwich was still waiting for her. A couple more chairs had been brought to the counter where food prep was normally done. The kitchen staff had all but abandoned the room, though there had been more food left out for consumption. Syn placed her jarred troll liver on the counter while sliding onto her chair once more in front of her sandwich. ”Would either of you like something to eat? I’m not the greatest at cooking….but I have the ability of placing things together.”. She flared her hands over the plated sandwich as if presenting it for all to admire.

Dala knew absolutely nothing about fashion or what appealed to men. Everything she mentioned was referred from the prostitutes walking the streets of cities. Suddenly Raith revealed himself and entered the room. Dala's angry expression melted away when she saw her father. He was laughing and seemed to be surprised by Dala's words. She rushed over to her father with arms open. Her baby golden dragon Charice flew off her shoulder and waited on the floor.

"Daddy!" She cheerfully shouted.

Once she was pulled into the hug, she snuggled into him. It was good to be home. She listened as he explained that Syn was not trying to seduce her dad and that he would give her lessons on how to make better threats. It was hard to be subtle about threats when she was a kid. Most would take it as a cranky kid being a brat instead of a legitimate threat that she would act on. Once she was done cuddling her father, she looked up to the woman again without any anger this time. She was expecting rage in turn but instead Syn gave her a wink, indicating she wasn't mad.

"I'd like those lessons. If I can avoid a fight through a threat, it'll be worth it."
She said to her dad before turning to Syn, "Sure! So what is your job anyway?"

An idea hit Dala. She reached into her bag and pulled out a jar. The jar was large and was filled with a liquid that preserved the oversized troll liver in it. The child offered the troll liver to Syn as a peace offering.

"Here!" She said, "A peace offering. Its a troll liver! The liver has a bunch of acid you can use for poisons and stuff."

This was also good practice for Dala since she needed to learn how to mend relationships if she ever wanted to be a good leader.

From the moment of her arrival into the room Syn could feel the agitation in the air. She wanted to turn around immediately in order to return to the sanctuary with her sandwich. Instead, the vixen decided to face the wrath of the god’s child. Manicured hand rested on her hip as it popped out to the side while waiting to hear what was causing the ‘Little Wolf’ such distress…though it was clear that Syn was the cause. When the full accusation came out, it was a good thing that Syn was not trying to drink anything. Jaw dropped in complete shock as the accusations continued to flow forth from her mouth. It was even more shocking to hear the threats. Young or not, Dala was the adopted daughter of Wrath Incarnate.

Brows popped up in surprise as her silence was kept as the processing anger continued to move through the girl. She was being protective of her mother, whom had been directed for Syn to protect. There was nothing in the world that the vampire would ever do to harm the blonde elf. In a way, Syn was jealous of the fact that Alairia had many in her corner to protect in every way. It was sweet. The vixen had never had the ability to experience something like that, but it was fine. She had never needed anyone to protect her.

Golden eyes blinked several times in disbelief. A sharp breath was taken in as the young girl took a metaphorical stab at Syn’s outfit before threatening a real stabbing. Index finger extended in the air with a wave towards the blonde child. ”Alright! That is far enough on this particular tirade my dear Mistress. NO ONE insults my wardrobe. This,” she said with an indication to her tight fitting clothing, ”is a well thought out, and fierce outfit. If you think that it takes tiny bits of fabric or nothing at all…honey, we need to work on your flirting skills.” Her arms crossed underneath her ample bosom, while tilting her head to the side. ”We will wait until your assets have come in at least.”

Head turned towards where the Lord of the Temple had entered. She gave a small bow of respect to her patron god. There was a small smirk at the corner of her lips towards the father. His daughter was a spit fire, but NO one would insult her outfits. She stood up straight and waved a hand as if the proper phrasing was being handled by Lord Raith. The woman settled back on her heels with arms crossed underneath her chest again. ”Yea…I’m sure Lady Alairia would not enjoy hearing such threats coming from her daughter…though I am sure she already knows her Little Wolf’s tendencies.” Syn gave the girl a wink as if saying there were no hard feelings on her end. Family was everything.

”I’m eating a sandwich in the kitchen. Could I interest the pair of you to join me for the sake of peace?”

Isleen was out in the world as his Champion, Lewis was hard at work with his studies, Ria had a steady stream of customers into the Meadow, Dae had been tasked to coordinate with his Contractor to gather more Assassins to join the Observatory, Syn was gathering their Court together and Dala (his beloved Dala) was out adventuring and following her ambitions as should be.
All was well within Raith’s steadily growing web.

Raith had set the afternoon aside for himself, he had some work to do reshaping the Observatory to accommodate their growing Coven, it wasn’t exactly taxing but it took it out of him - he was moulding an entire realm anew after all. He felt Dala’s presence as soon as she entered his world, smiling at the thought of his daughter come home once more. Standing up from the soft couch he had settled into he scowled as her words reverberated their way to him. He smiled, amused by the fact that she had returned to confront the Vixen now working alongside her father, this could be interesting, it seemed she was more like him than even he had realised.

He opened the door from his living space to the Throne Room, keeping out of sight as he ‘peeked’ through to listen to the conversation. As suspected - Dala was unhappy with the woman’s appearance in their Halls, especially given Syn’s proximity to himself. Raith almost choked with laughter at Dala’s next words however, the threat he was proud of but the declaration that Syn wasn’t trying hard enough to attract the Blind God’s attention was unexpected and hilarious. Coughing violently he stepped through the door, closing it behind him as he spluttered and laughed and gasped for breath all at once.
”Oh Little Wolf, I forgot what fangs you posses,” he croaked, pulling his daughter against his frame and hugging her tightly, ”Fear not my heart, Syn knows her place, I’ve made it abundantly clear to her. Though I am ever so proud of your vehemence, we will have to have some lessons to hone it mind you, calmer less obvious threats often hold the most weight behind them. I’ll schedule us some time to discuss that further when your mother is not within ear shot.”

Finally the vixen revealed herself! Dala took a look at the woman and was unimpressed. Her fiery hair was pretty and she did have a good figure. But her outfit was all wrong. If she was going to try to seduce her dad, that outfit was not sexy enough! Did this lady really think that outfit would be enough to draw Raith away from Ria?! It was an insult to both her mom and her dad. The girl stood up and walked up to the vampire with her hands on her hips, looking thoroughly displeased.

"I heard rumors that your trying to seduce my dad!" She said fueled anger, "So I'm only going to give you one warning. If you dare hurt my mama in any way, I will carve out your eyes and shove them down your throat! Got it?!"

Dala was serious about that threat. She had performed violent acts before and would do it again for her family. The little girl looked up at the woman to await her response. If she made one move against Ria, there would be consequences. Dala didn't care if it made her seem like a monster or if it made others hate her. She would defend the people she loved with everything she had.

"Also if you're gonna try to seduce dad then at least wear a bikini or something." She said to the woman, "The brothel ladies work harder than you do and the men they capture are basically garbage. But don't get any ideas. I still will stab you if you hurt mama."

Once again, she was getting a bit ahead of herself. But her first reaction was through her heart instead of her mind. It was something she was trying to actively work on to tame the fury her heart harbored. As for Syn's appearance, she wouldn't have cared if she hadn't been told Syn was trying to seduce Raith. Things like that weren't unheard of and when she was younger, it was common place.

”By the blood,” Syn muttered under her breath. It was just another thing on her plate to deal with. ”I just don’t understand…what don’t they get about NO dill on my sandwich?”. It was not that often that the vampiress indulged in something such as a simple sandwich, but there were some guilty pleasures she still held onto. Fine tipped red nails picked off the seasoning; every single piece. It was a time consuming process, but it was worth it to her.

She was licking her finger tips clean when her name was yelled out in rage. Syn sighed heavily while looking down at her sandwich longingly. ”We shall meet again soon. I will not forget you.”. A dramatic pat on the top of the bread was given as the vixen walked out of the kitchen towards the source of rage.

The young mistress of the temple had been the source of the angry summons, it appeared. Syn put on her ‘pleasant’ face as she smoothed down her thick red hair. Pointed ears were decorated with studded earrings and hoops along the edges. Today she had selected a black tight fitting pencil skirt, that had a deep V cut almost sheer white shirt tucked into it. ”Good day to you, Mistress Dala,” she said with a smile. ”What can I help you with?”

The vampiress moved across the room. Her golden eyes took in every bit of that pink rage induced face. Syn had a notion of what was bothering the girl, but it was better to hear it from the source. It was common place for those to judge her based on the outfits that she selected, and most of their assumptions were spot on. Syn clasped her hands behind her back and folded them while awaiting what the Lord’s daughter had to say. Hopefully it wouldn’t take long considering her sandwich was waiting.

Dala had returned as soon as she heard the news. Her father had a new assistant! But that wasn't the issue. There were rumors that this Syn person was a vixen who would flirt with anybody. Her dad was a god with money and power. A prime target for any vixen! If they weren't careful, she would be trying to seduce her dad away from her mama. Alairia was a beautiful maiden who hardly anybody could compete with, but Dala had seen the nasty tricks some vixens did to get a man. From causing confusion to outright sabotage, there were many ways to cause harm. The child would never let that happen under her watch! Her daggers and throwing knives were prepared and she was ready in case she needed to fight this vixen. But first, she would use her words. If that didn't get the message across, then a stab to the face might. Nobody would dare hurt her mama!

She arrived into the temple and began her search for the vixen. A baby golden dragon was perched on her shoulder. Dala had let her basilisk Emerald relax outside, as her friend seemed tired from the travel and wanted to relax in the maze. So she stood in the throne room, looking around for this evil creature who had dared threaten her mother's wonderful relationship with her dad. Dala was looking behind doors, underneath the thrones, behind the dragon, and any place that somebody could hide. She decided if she didn't find the woman there, then she would search the other rooms.

"Come out Syn!" The anger ball shouted, "I wanna have talk with you!"

Her face was bright pink with anger. She wished she could look more intimidating but her stature and the fact she was an adorable child made that impossible.
