Atop a calm but constantly snowy mountain peak lies Suishō no Kyūden: the Crystal Palace.  Rays of chilled sunshine gleam and sparkle off of the many faces of the vast structure, making it a beacon for all those that seek sanctuary.  A rainbow spectrum reflects against the pure white snow surrounding it, bathing those that venture on foot in an array of colors.  Despite the cold air, the crystal palace remains unfrosted and safe from the elements surrounding it.  Many traverse on foot, but all across Revaliir are shimmering pools of light bordered in softly glowing black tourmaline: one of the main symbols of The Lord of Light.  Through these, people can pass through to the entrance of the palace.

The door to this safe haven is never locked, and upon entering you’ll be wrapped in warmth; the door gently closing shut behind you on its own.  Those that find their way here through the portals dotting Revaliir enter just inside the entrance.  Inside the palace you’re welcomed by high ceilings, wide hallways, and a grand staircase all the way at the back just at the edge of one’s eye sight.  It is up that large stairway that you’ll find your way to the throne room and main place of worship.  The high ceiling of the palace goes all the way to the top, with the second and third floors lined in guard rails so that people from each floor can look straight down from their floor to the first.

Immediately to your left is the emerald room: this is the kitchen, always stocked with food for even the pickiest of visitors.  Stoves, pantries, sinks, and a grand oak table with matching cushioned chairs make up the space and there is always a sense of community here.  All perishables are kept safely stored using the cold landscape that hugs against Suishō no Kyūden, and can be found in the very back of the kitchen.  Pantries seem to be overabundant with food, and each cabinet knob is made of pure emerald.  Accents of emerald climb up the walls in an artistic mimic of ivy.  Like the rest of the palace, the walls are comprised of crystal, allowing people to look out at the surrounding snowy landscape.

If you look immediately to your right from the main entrance, you’ll see the sapphire room: the main parlor and foyer.  For anyone nervous about going into the vast and spacious common room down the hall, they can stop off here.  Cozy and with its own blue flame fire place, the sapphire room is lined with soft couches, chairs, loveseats, and even a few daybeds.  Since it is meant to soothe and give newcomers a sense of privacy, the lights are softly dimmed.  Spirals of real sapphire lace the walls in delicate designs as if to coax away the worries of those that occupy the space.  The floor here is lined in deep and soft carpeting to quiet the footsteps of those that walk about as well as cushion against their possibly blistering feet.

As you continue down the main hall, slender and near fragile seeming stairways corkscrew up to the second and third floor, each one accessible at different points from the main hallway which opens up into the spacious common room at the heart of the palace.  On either side of the common room are long wall length fireplaces with constantly burning pyres to thaw the bones of weary travelers that made their way through snow.  Large couches and chairs form a loose circle with a large and cozy kotatsu in the center.  Heat welcomes frozen legs and toes under the blankets of the kotatsu, and safely enchanted heating keeps the top of the kotatsu safe to the touch: yet kettles are always kept warm atop it, filled with tea from all across the lands of Revaliir.

All around you the walls, ceiling, and floor are comprised entirely of sheets of varying crystals and gems, but the grand staircase just at the end of the common room slowly shifts to black tourmaline the higher you climb.  This is the only staircase that leads to the fourth floor, and at the top you’re greeted by tall doors: golden sigils carve holy patterns into the black, and past these doors lies the throne room and main area of worship.

Every surface is made entirely of diamond enforced black tourmaline.  Upon a high dais floats a seat made of raw black tourmaline, nature having chipped away at it to form a slight dip where Naota can sit.  It is here that he finds the most peace and meditation, and it is also here that he is at his greatest source of power.  The air here is thicker, charged with the deity’s energy.  At the center of the room rests an altar where people have come to give their thanks and praise.  While all are welcomed to this palace sanctuary, those that leave anything at the alter are rewarded with a humble kneel from the deity himself to show his thanks.  No matter if it is silver or a wooden button: all gifts are received with humility and viewed as treasures by The Lord of Light.

God Rules:

ii. Unmatched in holy magicks as well as light magicks.
iii. Can shatter illusions by bending the light to show the truth.
