The declaration of adventure. The mystery of ruins hidden through the ages. The mysteries that surrounded such an ominous place… it just screamed home for the curious types who rarely anchored themselves! It was easy to see interest in Douken's eyes when the announcement was made from the heavens (though one of them looked like she possibly had butterflies in her stomach beforehand and was still recovering), and his partner, Mazerine, clearly saw that glint. Despite her noble upbringing, she, too, wanted to delve into this mysterious ziggarot and see what secrets slept within them.

But, of course, before tackling such dangers, the pair knew they had to get ready. Not knowing what to expect, the noble elf took to the streets to shop for supplies while Douken sat at the table near the transport statue, gathering what relics and items he would possibly need. The spear was a must for a defensive weapon, and his tome of runes was always great at hand for his magical artes. Always some key essentials. However, along them, Douken started to pull out relics and artifacts he had found himself he believed would have some use as well.

They key that rested around his neck was an easy example. After all, what is a dead end if he can create a door? … Well, a thick wall, certainly. Even magic has its limits, but the enchantment still gave him a good amount of depth to work with. On the table, though, rested a small, purple pyramid, something that can easily fit in the palm of someone's hand. A useful trinket when needing to get out, and mix with the key, made great escape passages.

However, there were still items on the table that he had yet to even use, but the professors at the college would be ecstatic for. One of which looked to be something like an eye patch, yet to be fitted like a monocle. If the rumors were right, wearing it would allow the user to see traps that slept in the walls, floor, and ceiling. If it was true, then it would certainly be very handy. Still, the main reason he never really used it was more on the fact that it looked like a closed eye than an eye patch or monocle…

Another of which was a small choker decorated with a pendant of a beetle… or was it a scarab? He never seen one, so he couldn't really tell. Either way, apparently, this tool would allow the user to summon  the bug that decorated the choker and someone see that they saw? The professor certainly said it would make more sense once he used it. There had just not really been a need for it, though,

Finally, resting in a bundle, was a white rope round an inch thick. It was light, yes, but the strength it was was certainly inhuman. Sure, it had reputations for being used on the more… lewd side of things, but someone who goes into dangerous depths as these two always knew you never left without good rope, and there was none that got the job better.

"That should do it," he muttered to himself before starting to pack things up into his bag. All that was left was to wait for Mazerine to get back so they can tackle it together.
