The shifting of the season brought on the strongest of changes. This current change was so small that many would never notice, but to some, it would take the breath from their lungs. A woman’s fingers traced along the tall marble archway, hazel eyes full of curiosity and wonder. The roses bloom bold and bright and marked to the silent figure exactly where she needed to go, needed to be. It did not take her long to leave the archway behind and continue along the steps. There would not be a single time that her head would tilt back because she was steady in her course. Nothing would break her from seeing someone dear to her. The jade steps disappeared into darkness but shimmering fireflies danced around her taking her further into the abyss.

“I see you have redecorated.” The whisper came out softly as hazel. The darkness began to take life with memories of her own life. A beautiful temple and crazy adventures alongside the smiling of her parents. It was enough to almost bring a tear to her eyes, but as quickly as the memories came they disappeared back into darkness. Maybe this signaled something about her own life, but the darkness engulfed around her until a pathway finally took life in the distance. There was a soft smile that graced her lips at the glittering crystals reminding her happily of old memories and that strange old life. Her hand reached up brushing away the tears that had cascaded down her cheek and, finally, she let out a slow sigh of relief.

She could the jungle vines creepy from inside the chamber but a trek would be nothing for her after the jade steps. There was one single thing that she knew for sure as she begun through the jungle. She really needed to stop taking the long way to see her Auntie. Physical strength had never been something she had to completely worry about. Her family had taught her well and a lot of this beautiful world she knew like the back of her hand. She could not help but smile the rest of the way as memories flowed through her mind of her as a child playing through these worlds and the scolding that commenced after. She had always been too much like her father, in all the worst of the ways.

It did not take long for the mirror to disappear into a field of grass. Her steps had begun as slow, collected steps but the closer the plains appeared the faster her steps became until she was running at full speed. She was unsure how long she ran for before she tumbled down into the wheat fields rolling before laying out on her back. Brown hair pooled around her with soft and smooth curls and the soft pale pink fabric of her stress shimmered in the sun. The fabric was sheer but the many layers to it made it hard to see the softly tanned skin beneath.

She was unsure how much time passed as she stared up at the sky. She was perfectly content just resting here in the field surrounded by wheat. She felt at home here. Her signature grin peeled across her face as if she were nothing but a small child. It would not be long before Angela took notice to her and realize that Rhea was home. "I missed you, Auntie…"

When Love had fallen there was a deep rift in the pit of her heart that she could not seem to understand completely. Perhaps it was because Rhea represented that deep connection that she had lost. Frey, Taylef, her children of the Cathro sort, and her friends that she had made that also came from Cathro. These people were mostly gone and all she had was Rhea’s sweet heart. It had been gone for so long that she had almost lost her breath.

When Rhea had been a goddess Angela had nearly been as strong as she was in this moment. So it was no surprise that when Rhea had entered the realm of the Mother all eyes were on her. At first, the goddess did nothing but watch. Rhea had always been childlike even in an older age but Angela liked that most about her. It was the innocence that Angela savored, not all could be like Rhea. Though she knew that the girl had trouble in her past it always seemed like Rhea knew how to sweep it past and persist on. It was no shock that the girl had once been Strength since strength wasn’t just physical.

Angela was heavily pregnant at this point. It was the largest she had been, she was sure of it. The twins were going wild in her womb as she pressed her hands to feel their flurry of kicks and somersaults. “Calm down now Children. Your cousin is here and I am sure that she will be so grateful to meet you before you are born.” The goddess’s red curls were left untended for the most part as they flowed freely down her body. She wore a loose green dress that didn’t hide her pregnancy.

Melding into the earth it wasn’t long before she was laying right beside Rhea. “You know, if you stare long enough you can connect hundreds of stars and make a portrait. You used to love making tales from the clouds and connecting the stars in ways that many had not thought of. Welcome home, by the way, Rhea.” The goddess took a relaxed sigh as she reached over and pet the girl’s hair. “It’s about time you came home.”

Time was something she never understood, much like fate. You had to just trust that things would lead you the right away. Her father had once held the mantle for fate. He had taught her well to never try to fight it because it could very well destroy you instead. Fate had decided her fate to descend. She was stripped of her immortality and left lost in the world. It had been the worst feeling in her life. She had been strong before she had risen, but the fall had left her weakest she had ever been. There was so much that she wished to ask and many curses she wished to yell. She did not understand why she had fallen, but she could only assume there was a reason behind it all.

In this field, however, all those feelings seemed to drift away and time slowed to a soft hum. This place felt the same as when she was younger. It felt good on her skin and created the luxury of safety that she would never find anywhere else. This was a place protected by life and she could feel it wrapping around her like a warm cloak. It felt breathtaking. She let everything melt away until a voice chimed in next to her.

Hazel eyes slid open as she felt the stop touch on her head, stroking through her locks. She could feel the tears begin to gather as she stared into the gaze of her aunt. She was beautiful as always with her flowing dress and fiery hair. There had only been two women in her life that she believed were the most beautiful in the land- her mother and aunt. She had spent her whole life looking up to them and wanting to be like them. They were so different but held a beauty that she could only wish to achieve.

”Auntie…” The word came out in a soft whine as the tears began to flow freely and she found herself wrapping her free arm around her. “I am sorry it took so long to return. I was scared to come back, to see you after everything. I never meant to be gone so long.” She could not help but feel so comfortable being with her aunt again. Everything seemed to feel right when she was with her.

She took a deep breath as she slowly pulled away again looking into the eyes of Angela again. She didn’t want to be a sobbing mess in front of her aunt like she was a small child that had scratched her knew. She was a grown up and had to remember that sometimes. Her eyes took her aunt in more and the signature smirk appeared for a moment. “It appears some things have not changed. Pregnant again?”
