She had realised her anger was high and he was only joyed by it. she closed her eyes and repeated a phrase that she had kept since she was small.
"qe versvesh vur nurti origato astahi vucot dout l'graic." she said it at almost a whisper than opened her eyes. It was the one thing she needed to hear and it calmed her down enough so she could use common sense.
"The calling is one impossible to ignore for with each day it gets stronger tell it is defining or i would not follow it quite often i must say this is the first time it actually caused me harm an any way." she answered in a calm voice.
she looked at the hydra almost surprised that it would willingly be a pet than again she now knew what munster she was dealing with. she put on a poker face that would keep all emotion hidden from that point tell she left. she almost smiled at his statement on despising those that relied on others for help. Once she could handle her own she had been independent and well feared. now she saw three options. first she could try to make the heartless beast feel bad and get him to help wich she knew was useless to try. Second option was also out of question and that was to bargain with him.
She chose the third and that was leave before he had any more fun with her.
"Well in that case it had been an interesting visit but since you're not going to be much help and i would rather keep my head i will be leaving. im sure I will have more luck on my own." she said than walked to the left wing doors having read up on the place she knew that it would be a quick way out if he would rather her not stay. if not she may try and see his library. course there was no telling what he would do to her between where she was and the doors.

“Oh? I didn’t?”, the lord of the castle thought out loud but then laughed.
“Oops. I guess I failed to do so. But to be fair, you didn’t seem the least bit interested in the story so I may have dropped a few tidbits about the tale here and there.” It was possibly by instinct that Vinsue hadn’t put on the necklace since she also hadn’t known just how he obtained it in the first place if it was meant to be a royal engagement present. Her anger only fueled his delight in this situation; her displeasure meant nothing else to him. His guest didn’t seem too thrilled about how she could easily obtain freedom from the curse.
“If that would be the case, then why would you continue to follow the calling then? Sounds more like you are a glutton for punishment, my dear little lady.” He leaned forward and rose his hand up for one of the hydra’s heads to lean against it. From there, he slowly petted it tenderly as his eyes were kept on Vinsue.
“Perhaps, but like I said, I am not one that would freely help others. Why should I when I find it more intriguing to see how others overcome their problems. I despise those that rely on others to fix their problems.” He was a necessary evil in this world, whether people wanted to admit it or not. For too long there had been too many deities before him that became complacent in their homes and did nothing else but cater to others. They lacked the ambition he sought and the willingness to drive others to rely on themselves.
“And if I was to ever do things for others, it certainly would not be free, my dear. Hardly anything in this life is.”

She was a bit surprised that he called his pet back rather than telling it to keep going but she did not show her surprise. she stood tall and crossed her arms as he talked.
"You said that the necklace was a gift from a lover you never mentioned a witch, the curse or the blunder." she stated. than she stopped. "
I Knew not to put it on though." she almost whispered. than she realised he said that it rendered all her magic useless. she tried to turn back to her true form but that did not happen. his smile only angered her more. he was finding to much pressure in this situation. Than he said that death was the easiest way to remove it.
Stuck as a useless human tell death was not an appalling thought especially knowing that about every pirate and bounty hunter was out for her head. she had yet to lose a fight with them but that was do to her powers and she had not tried one without using her powers or a weapon of sorts.
She only heard part of his last statement as she thought of what awaited if she made it out of this place. "
The calling is not something i liked to begin with. it always sent me near danger to get something i was not quite aware of." the necklace was something that was not worth the trouble it had with it. and she did not want to try and bargain with the devil who put it on her either. she was curious but cautious.
"And I'm almost willing to bet you know how it could be removed with minimal damage and max undoing." She said She figured if the price was too high she did now a deity that was a friend and owed her for past encounters. that and both would willing to help her if her magic yielding friends could not.

Time was irrelevant to his sort, at least for now. While the God could wait as long as it took, his pet had a different mindset and could be rather volatile. It didn't feel as though too much time passed by as he lingered about his throne before his guest awoken from the shocking events previously. In face he looked on with a looming face as she cast her sights onto him as if he was the one who did wrong in this scenario. Honestly such thinking would have caused him to burst into laughter but no; a seldom look remained. Xunatar's hydra, on the other hand, finally moved against her, hoping that she would be an easy snack. As it advance, its heads still fought among themselves over her. Apparently there was still some fight in the girl, though he assumed that she didn't quite learn of just how much she was cursed until she tried to defend herself.
The beast stopped in its ceaseless hunt when she spoke to it, meanwhile its master looked on.
"Perhaps, but then again I did go onto to explain the story, if not at least half of it." With a wave of his hand, he recalled the beast to come back to his side. "Now my tale was true, the necklace didn't usher the princess' death. But it did render her useless in the magical sense. Talents and all that relied on it were locked away as long as she wore the jewelry. It was the blunder of the witch that also caused it to be difficult to be removed from the wearer. There is an easy way though, but I have a sneaking suspicion you won't like what I have to tell you." Etched on his face was a sick little smile,
"The princess never had the piece removed until death. It wouldn't be until centuries later and other victims that there would be other ways, though not as easily obtained as how hers was." "Your calling had been the instrument of your undoing, dear Vinsue. I am not one of the deities known for coddling others, but one that wishes to test the boundaries of mortal strength and resolve. Can you undo the curse? That is a fairly decent question" The way he spoke, it sounded like an opportunity rather than a warning. As if he was a businessman making a causal offering.

an hour had past before she stirred. she rolled over and slowly sat up with a yawn. than recent events flooded her memory. she was quickly aware of her surroundings. she got to her feet and looked at the hydra than at Xunatar. She was mad at him for putting the necklace on her. everything seemed different. her senses were not as sharp as they had been in the past. the hydra snapped at her and she hissed back.
It advanced towards her and she immediately held her hands in front of her a few inches apart then flung her hands forward in a manner that had always produced flame. Nothing came and it shocked her. she dodged the head and than looked at her hands and tried to simply make a flame ball. nothing.
She again jumped out of the way of a snapping jaw than tryed to produce her electric element. nothing.
"wux vucata nomeno ornla shinalt. pok wux f'ing lincesa." she yelled in her native tongue. the beast understood and looked amongst itselves obviously confused how she knew that language.
"you knew this would happen didn't you." yelled at him.

Although she was expressing her gratitude to what appeared to be that of him gifting her the necklace, one should be weary with making deals with the Lord of Lies. Vinsue sadly had learned the hard way while Xunatar watched on as his facial features showed more of a cunning, grinning predator. His beauty did well to conceal the true monster that he could be as he watched her in pain, in agony without any sort of way to combat the curse. He was curious as to what exactly it would do to her, but he had his thoughts on the matter. The screams filled the room, delightful sounds that seemed musical to him. He no longer made an effort to keep his emotions from surfacing to her just as she was coming into unconsciousness.
Layla had heard the woman's anguish and came rushing in to investigate. Her eyes first noticed that she had the neck on her so she swiftly moved to go and retrieved.
"No." Her god's voice made the kitsune stop dead in her tracks.
"It is a gift, after all. It would wrong to take it from her now. Besides, I'd imagine that she won't be so happy when she awakens. Take her to the throne hall." He turned and abruptly left, leaving her with the unsavory job of taking Vinsue with her. Her image of a child vanished and took her true form of a woman and pouted before calling the guards to pick her up. Layla wasn't about to be cursed and they were a dime a dozen. One of them went to grab her to throw her onto his shoulder before leading her to throne hall. She was placed down with much care while Xunatar watched from his throne, leisurely awaiting for her to stir awake, no matter how long it took.
In the meantime, he clapped his hands and from a portal beside him came a hydra, a favorite monstrosity of his. Its heads lingered onto the image of his visitor and were snapping at one another at which would be able to savor her in its maw first.
"Now, now, my beast. We are to be respectful hosts to our guest. At least wait until she wakes up first." At what he was planning next, it was anyone's guess.

he did not seem to care if he noticed at all that she was dragon or that she came to take the necklace home. the movement of the necklace again cault her attention and again she tried to toss it away. too late. it swung around her neck and clasped shut. she immediately pulled up her powers to contradict its powers. than he said it was now hers. she was glad that he did but she was not happy it was in her neck.
"Thank…" she started to say as she was blocking its effects. she doubled over onto her knees as she clasped it, her powers falling against it. a pain formed in her chest. She tried to remove it with no luck. she kept silent as she tried to fight it. the pain was showing in her face. After a few seconds she let out a scream and with it came a light of gold and red. the light like a smoke circled her before being drawn into the locket. after the light was fully drawn into the necklace she collapsed, unconscious, to the ground.

Curious eyes could not look away from images and scenes that could captivate. Those truly in the midst of watching a murder, for example, typically wouldn’t be able to tear their eyes away from the sight. It would be as if their eyes were glued to it and wouldn’t even begin to think of looking away. Curious hearts was another matter as well; those that were too obsessed or eager to desire wouldn’t be able to completely rid themselves of it. Surely they would be able to mutter such words of refusal or perhaps even think it in their heads. But actions was so much more stronger than petty words and given the right amounts and sets of pushes, the God knew that everyone could bend and break for it.
His friend here was no exception- her calling to the treasure hadn’t quite left her yet or else she would have been ready to depart from the room, perhaps the entire Cradle itself. The demon’s thoughts grew more confident when she revealed herself to be a dragon in disguise, something that did stir some shock from him. Of course it would make sense for why he didn’t know what she was- he had little encounters with her kin and far less with those that took the form of humans.
It also made more sense for her to come here with this calling of hers; dragons and treasures went hand to hand. Perhaps she had a horde of her own and wanted to expand her collection. It was merely a thought running through his head. Her words made him grow…suspicious for some reason but he masked it for now beneath a look of indifference as Vinsue picked up the necklace once more. Unlike last time, its power didn’t scare her- it seemed docile for reasons even Xunatar didn’t know. But he did know that for its full power, it had to be worn so he allowed some of his magic to weave onto the jewelry before it started to move in her grip. Quickly, its chains moved against it as it swung itself up to her neck and locking it clasp around it. Xunatar smiled deliciously as he approached her.
“Well, that’s a nice look on you after all. And with that, I’ve bestowed onto you that which answered your calling, my dear Vinsue.”

She looked at the necklace that laid on the floor. The call was still there wich annoyed her greatly and every time she looked away it would almost scream at her. she wanted to talk to it and ask it why it called but she was not going to do so in the presence of another creature much less a demon.
"I do not know why it called me. I have always thought it was because it did not like where it was at and wanted a new home. than again it might be partly because i am a dragon but who knows." she said before thinking.
than again knelt down and casually picked it up. she was glad that it did not do the same thing it did last time and stood up. now that it was quiet she could think. than she realised what she had said and regretted it. She knew she now sounded like a thief but there was little she could do. she held the necklace up by the chain. Why. she thought mad at it for bringing it hear. and for making her look like both a thief and a fool. it did not respond so she looked at Xunatar. her face showing no emotion for that was one thing she had become good at over the years.

His words were like sweet nectar that lured the unsuspecting to pastures surrounded by starving wolves. Never letting his true intentions out by those without divinity in his blood, none were truly safe from his deceit, not even his own children were spared. Weakness was not allowed in his sights nor would it be stomached. In this little slice of the world, it was his playground and there were very few rules within the Cradle. One of which was that this room, this vile sanctuary, was very much cursed. Touching something, even for perhaps a moment wasn’t recommended, but because of the lack of security, physical or magical, it was encouraging to those whose greed and curiosity were greater than common sense and weariness. God or man, elf or dwarf, saint or sinner, they all had their vices deep inside and he was very good at exploiting them.
Xunatar gazed at Vinsue, still unsure as to what she was, but was certain that her morality was about the same as all others in this world. There was no good or bad people, not completely anyway. There was only the ambitious and those that weren’t. She seemed to be a bright woman, but even so there were vices that even captured those of the most noble intentions.
He merely watched on, not influencing or swaying her actions for there was no point. He hardly forced his hand upon them. In fact the god didn’t really need to do anything to let things come to pass. This place was one of many possibilities.
“Sounds like a calling indeed. Perhaps there’s been a reason for it to go through some much trouble” He lazily narrowed his eyes and rested his head onto his hand.
“I myself have never heard of such a thing, but I do not doubt it. My question is why did it call on you so?”

"I guess being called by treasure sounds weird. and not all of it calls me. all i know is from an early age different things at different times send a message that pulls at me and tells me to come I simply follow and that neckless used the things in this room to amplify its call. That is why I got through the maze so fast and without much trouble." she said as he watched her. He thought it was a joke.
Now that she knew the necklace was bad news she could care less about the love story and anything else in the room. Though the story was one of sweet sound she knew that something was wrong and the marriage did not happen. He was good at acting like nothing happened and bragged about his collection. She had learned that if that idome was a problem those it used to strengthen the call had a similar problem. She was not going to touch anything else in this room and completely lost interest in the collection. If he wanted her to try something else he could forget it.

“Called?” Xunatar titled his head to the left to signal that he was in thought. Of course his own conclusions was that she was aspiring to do what many had found and came to regret later on- and that was to steal from his precious room. No one knew the true reason why he had collected such tainted things and gathered all sorts of negative energies to pool into one room. He had his reasons and it was good enough.
“You seem as though the artifacts and the coin surrounding us can speak to you.” He humored his thought with a slight laugh as he approached her, slowly and with tender care. He didn’t know how she would respond, especially in his presence as he sought the best method to deal with her.
The lord watched and carefully stepped around his treasures. He wasn’t sure how much Layla had revealed to her, likely not much at all. Eventually she seemed to found something that caught her fancy- a necklace that had been one of his more recent ventures. It wasn’t too hard for him to recognize it. Apparently she didn’t take too kindly to its effect, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
“That would be something I’ve gotten from Mamlak. Long ago, it belonged to the daughter of one of the city’s former kings. It was meant as a wedding gift to her from her betrothed from another city. Their marriage was arranged to unite the two kingdoms.” What he failed to mention was that one of the prince’s servants was madly in love with him and hated the princess he was to join forever. The woman had been a practitioner of hexes, in her quest to make him hers and to punish the poor girl, she had cursed the necklace while it was en route to its new owner. But she had made a mistake in her hex, and instead of delivering death to her upon touching it, it had a rather interesting effect instead.
“As far as I know, it is a royal necklace”, he struggled while pretending to not know what had spooked her.
“Just like everything around it, it houses an unique story and I find comfort in learning about them so.” Pacing about, he turned his attentions away from her and eyes fell onto his other items.

Vinsue almost jumped at the unexpected voice and quickly turned. She bowed her head and straightened up as she heard him give his introduction.
"I can see. It is quite a collection you have gathered. perhaps that was why it called me so." She said looking at Xunatar. Him being one of those called by the tree she would not be surprised if he knew why she was here and what she was like the last one she had met. then again the last god was the keeper of keys and knowledge so it may have been one of his special powers.
"I'm Vinsue. and something hear had called me."
She turned and looked at the treasures most of which were amazing but as for the call they were silent. The call was once again strong and she followed it. The Guy did say be careful which meant go ahead just do not break anything, or at least that's how she took it to mean. slowly she walked and looked tell she found what had been calling her. of all the stuff in this collection it was a necklace that had called her. It looked simple like a nobles locket of gold with a strange symbol carved into it.
She bent down and grabbed hold of it to take a closer look and stood up.
"This." she started to say before half throwing half dropping it with a scream and stepping away from it. Something was wrong with her but she did not know what yet.
"What in hell was that." she said looking back at Xunatar.

He had been patiently watching, despite having told his keeper that he was busy previously. Even his own clergy weren't safe from his lies, but how could one blame them when he woven his deceptions so perfectly around their mortal minds? Instead he chose to watch from afar, invisible to all the players around him as he first studied the woman that came to visit the grounds. She seemed to be a lot more than what her appearance seemed, but he didn't know why he felt himself intrigued. As always, Layla knew how to follow orders well, which was one of the reasons he had chosen her out of a slew of demons to work with him.
As promised, not a single hair was harmed on their guest's head, but he could see that the kitsune wanted to play around with the girl in another matter. He wasn't too keen on letting her close to his treasures, but if she was to try and obtain one, then so be it.
Xunatar had yet to test his limits when it came to these cursed items. Perhaps he would fare better because of his immortality, but he was clever enough not to tempt fate. Instead, there were better ways of doing so and he was looking squarely at the woman before he materialized into room behind her. A hood cloaked figure of white with black stripes stood there; nothing save for his blue shining could be seen from the recesses of the hood and his bare feet lead him nearer to her.
"My dear girl is correct. Much time and effort, patience and care has been taken into growing out this…collection of wonders." His head turned from one side to another and back as though he was inspecting his riches before drawing those eyes onto Vinsue.
"I am the Lord of the Cradle, Xunatar. I certainly hope that you have been enjoying your stay so far. Though I'd be cautious with these things before you…" He wasn't going to tell her why, and secretly he was hoping that she was to let temptation override any sense, any instinct that would be screaming otherwise to just leave well enough alone.

Don't fret about it. was she kidding every story she had heard about this place ended up crazy as far as she knew. Yet she smiled and relaxed a bit more for show than she actually was. Yea she was tall and could hold her own in a fight but that was against mortals who crossed her wrong or wanted truble, not against a god. Seeing the shining light that only gems and gold could make she walked up to the door to see the source.
What harm could seeing the treasure be she thought to herself. if the master of the grounds would not mind then she saw no reason to not see it. She was too intrigued by the treasure to notice the girls grin. she stepped through the door. She looked over the mountains of shiny things as she mouth dropped at the size of the collection. She quickly closed her mouth knowing she was being watched. She looked at how the light turned her white skin a golden color.
"
Wow" was all she could say as she looked around. she liked the looks and it took all she had to not touch but given permission she would.

“Oh nonsense. The lord just loves company. Do not fret about that.” She waved off Vinsue’s concerns- all were welcomed to come see Xunatar, though by the end of it, most came to regret it. The child gazed at her with a gleaming look before turning around and headed towards the door. She pushed it up and allowed for her to peek inside the room and see the bountiful array of items and valuables that filled it.
Of course, everything that existed here held nothing but bad fortune for anyone that dare laid their hands onto it. It explained why there were no guards or locks to keep them here. It was all apart of one of the lord’s traps to test the mettle of his visitors. To see whether they can overcome the temptation of so much as to touch them, let alone steal them.
The only reason why Layla was charged with watching over them was merely keep track of them. She couldn’t very well stop those with darker motives; she wasn’t much of a fighter. Her fingers ruffled through her thick locks of white and stood to the side as she kept a keen eye on the woman.
“No, he shouldn’t wouldn’t mind”, she spoke softly, though a sinister grin started to form across her face in secret.
“This things here are one of a kind, though many had once held some of them. Others weren’t seen for centuries, lost in time and out of the sight of mortals until he had found them.”

Vinsue stopped as she heard the place was called the Cradle. she thought this place seemed like one she had read about and know knew why. it was the house of the god of demons. She was hoping it would be that of some well decorated dragon or one of lesser ability not some god much less that one.
"I'm Vinsue and I did not mean to tread on the master's ground." she looked to see what the lady looked at and almost shook her head. She immediately wanted to leave but she had came to see the treasure.
"Shure he will not mind." she asked then looked back at the doors. She slowly started walking towards the door.

The wait seemed a tad longer than she had realized it to be and soon she could feel her boredom shifting to tiredness. Sleep was threatening to drift over her as her eyes grew heavy. If the visitor was going to take their time getting to this point, then she would rest until then she suppose. But Layla fought against it and considered that they might have been stumped by the three sets of doors towards the end of the cruel corridors. But even if that were the case, there was only some much time that would pass from the failed attempts before they made their way to the parlors. The girl rose up slightly and shrank herself up on the couch. A high yawn came out from her mouth before she heard the doors open and someone came through them. A young pretty woman was among them and immediately both men turned towards her direction and Layla looked onto her with amusement.
"Welcome to the Cradle!", she spoke as she slipped off the couch and headed towards her, skipping a bit before coming to a stop within feet of her.
"What is your name and why are you here? Is it to see the master of this grounds? Heaven knows only the more infernal of people came to see Xunatar personally, but the girl didn't seem like she was that sort. Then again, one couldn't tell by looks, especially when she had to remember the type of person the Lord of Lies was.
"Or perhaps you are interested in something else?" Her head turned to towards the door leading to the treasure room.
"Are you one that prefers trinkets and such? You may go into that room and look to your heart's content if you'd like. He is rather busy at the moment anyway." The small girl gestured to the hooded men to step away from the door; there was no need for them to guard it. The items within that chamber would be fine on their own. They obeyed and left the two by themselves
"Come now, I insist."

Vinsue had been walking for a bit before she came to a long corridor. She slowed to a stop as she saw the three sets of double doors. She looked at the seal on the doors and smiled they were known to guard vast treasures. All three door sets were the same she had discovered as she stepped back.
She looked at each door trying to figure out which had the strongest call. All had the same result the call completely stopped. She opened the door in the center and stepped through before shutting it back. She looked around not knowing what to expect and a bit saddened to see no treasures. Seeing someone on the couch she stopped.
“Hello?”

Layla continued to skip about in her disguise of a young girl through the citadel until she came across a familiar voice that echoed into her mind.
"Lord Xunatar?" Her playing about came to a grinding halt. Unless there was something that was occurring in the moment, usually he would have left her be to her own devices.
"What is it, my lord?" "There is a guest present in the Hallways. Make sure you keep them company until I am able to receive them."
Typically it was out of her profession to entertain those that had the gull to come to the Cradle, but she would oblige to his whim.
"Very well. I will meet with them at the parlors." Her head was soon relieved from his mental connection and she ventured back to the main room. Still, he hadn't told her that she couldn't play around with whoever was visiting and it if there was one thing she was good at besides keeping records of the treasure, it was playing around with others. The white haired girl slipped back to where she had left the two hooded guards. Nearby was a lavish couch and she leaped onto it and snuggled against one of its pillows. It wouldn't take long, she believed before their guest would arrive. She was actually quite thrilled with seeing them; it had been awhile since they had received people about here. Their reason for coming wasn't too much of an importance for her, at least for now.

The floating islands were an amazing site to withhold but that was not why she was heir. She was hear to see what had been calling her for it was a strong call like the ones another dragons hoard gave. She landed on one of he outer islands a few feet from one of the many portals. She walked to it and stopped for she did not like them or the places they had brought her in the past. She closed her eyes and stepped threw the portal.
On the other side she opened her eyes to see an open door. She fallowed the call threw the door and started down the hall. She was unaffected by the door shutting behind her as she walked. At the first split she stopped and looked down each of the halls tell she knew witch one held the thing calling her. She took the way that led to the right that held the strongest filling from the call. She used this trick for each of the splits teal she ran in to a dead end.
She stopped as the dead end came in to view.
She was confused for the calling was still leading her down this hall yet there was nothing there. She walked to the end and tried to turn but she was a bit two big to do so. She focused and turned to her human form and continued back down the hall. The calling switched directions as she did and she noticed the pictures were different than they were before. She trusted the calling and could care less about the illusions.

“Everything is present!”The cry of a young girl’s voice could be heard echoing from the treasure room. As typical, Layla accounted for nearly everything in this sacred and accursed room; gems, artifacts, jewelry, dolls and anything that the lord sought for and gather in one place. The coins that scattered about and made into mountains were the only thing she hadn’t attempted to count and collect. Nay, it would have been far too much work and she wasn’t the sort to do anything if she didn’t have to.
A pair of his other servants were there as well, hidden beneath robes of ebony and crimson to assist her as she laid not a hand onto these things. But rather she did her job with her bo staff. There were plenty of things here that could do a wondrous range of curses upon them, ranging from illness to death itself to entrapping their souls. There was no telling what would happen to her if she had accidentally let so much as a finger touch one. It was also why she trended carefully while she walked.
