There is one hallway that leads from the city of Baltil that is more guarded than others. The hallway's entrance is carved to resemble a fierce dragon's head, and the guards appear to be mostly interested in keeping people from going into the entry. There are no doors, and torches light the hallway. It winds around, up and down, giving little hint as to what direction that that the tunnel leads from the city. Eventually, it opens out into a large cavern, and one of the largest collections of wealth to be found within Parvpora. But there is a very good reason for the guards…

A great dragon slumbers within one of the chambers in the cavern, dreaming of fire and blood and gold. For the most part, Cordath the Firestarter remains asleep. He is ancient, and rarely needs to be conscious. But occasionally something will stir him to action. It has become considered a right of passage for young dwarves to sneak into the treasure filled halls and steal something without awakening the dragon. Treasures from all over the world, and many periods of time litter the halls. Everything from fine weapons and armor to works of art to gaudy coffins and more are found in every corner, as well as heaps of gems and coins. The coins can be from modern empires, and from ones long forgotten as well. Jewelry, both modern and ancient, can be found as well scattered throughout the caverns, from every conceivable type of metal and gems.

There are two main exits to the cavern. One is a massive hole in the side of the mountain, and Cordath uses this to leave on his occasional forays into the world. There is also a pathway carved from the hallway that leads back to Baltil, which also leads to the mountainside. This pathway leads along the outer edges of the caverns, and there are a number of hiding holes, just in case the dragon awakes.
