The Lord of those who have passed and steward of the Boundary is served in the wider world by an order only known as the Black Priests. Each one is distinguished by their black, hooded robe, although they are not required to keep their hoods up many do, lending an air of mystery and distance to them. Unlike many priests they do no officiate unions or naming ceremonies, theirs is a grimmer, but no less important task. To tend to those who are passing or have passed from this world. To commend a relative to the care of a Black Priest is to admit that there is nothing more to do but ease what time is left unless the Steward or another god intervenes. The priest's rule is quite simple:

1. Ease the passing of any who asks.
2. See that those who have passed are properly interred.
3. Help lost and trapped souls to pass on, and exorcise those who refuse to.
4. Free enslaved undead who are sentient and have retained their soul.
5. Do not judge the living as all we be reduced to the same state.

While forbidding in appearance, the priesthood are known for their compassion for all who come under their care, and the diligence with which they carry out their duties.
