Argel Tal was drifting.  Consciousness flitted close by but seemed just out of reach as he floated in the empty space of dreams, unable to see in the darkness of his own mind.  Is this a dream? He thought, weightlessness seeming to confirm that possibility.  He closed his crimson eyes once again and returned to oblivion.

Time had passed, still the feeling of floating in the void remained, but Argel Tal’s wits seemed to be returning.  Where is my armor?  He thought, panic beginning to rise within his dulled mind.  Where is my sword?  He tried to move, to look around for his enchanted blade.  His limbs felt heavy, as though he was entombed in the oceans depths.  He began to thrash violently until a feminine voice came to him from the void.  Soft as silk and soothing as cool water to a parched throat.  “Rest…”  He felt a moment of consternation, realizing this was not the demon that normally dogged his thoughts.  He did not have time to ponder this further however, as sleep took him once more.

The next time Argel Tal opened his eyes he was immediately aware of one thing, he was drowning.  Faint light shone down from the water’s surface above as he broke through violently, sending water spraying in every direction as he gulped in air greedily.  Still breathing heavily, he leaned against a statue protruding from the water.  The man let his head rest back against the stone as he recovered, brushing lengths of soaked coal black hair from his red hued eyes.  As the world finally came into focus he jumped away from the statue with a start.  The waist deep water slowed his movements and added the only sounds to the cavern pool as Argel Tal stared in shock at the statue.  It was tall, it’s obsidian form showing bulky muscles covering the large humanoid frame, but it was far from human.  The fingers of each hand ended in wicked talons and great wings sprouted from its back to arch overhead, but the worst was the face.  This was the face he wore when Raum took control, features that bore enough resemblance to his own to allow an observer to know the creature had once been human.  However no one would mistake the face of the demon for a man with its curved horns and fanged maw.  The sight made Argel Tal shudder, to know that this is what people saw when he lost control.

Argel Tal studied the statue further, not wanting to dwell on the horror of his own affliction but unable to look away.  It was then he noticed, what at first had appeared to be stone of pure darkness. Had several white veins on the left side of the chest where a heart would reside.  It was then he laid eyes on the second statue to occupy the water.  This one resembled Argel Tal as he currently was, it was clad in his armor and held his sword, Duality, point first between his boots, and while the statue of Raum was obsidian this one appeared to made of white marble.  He looked closer and discovered a matching set of black veins in the left portion of the statues chest.

“What is this place?”  As he spoke aloud the size of the cavern became apparent from the way the sound carried.  The shock of his arrival began to wear off and Argel Tal realized that although he emerged from deep water the cavern pool he was standing in was barely waist high on him.  He also became aware from the slight chill in the air that not only his armor and weapons were missing but the rest of his clothing as well.  These seemed inconsequential however compared to the statues that seemed to be the pools’ only adornment.  “How can these be here?”

It was tranquil.

With so many strange occurrences going on this world, it was nice to be able to relax the way she did best. Lounging on her throne, the young goddess had done one of the things she did best- napped. The feeling brought the sleep from her eyes easily and they narrowed unsure what to feel of it. Someone had made it into her temple but not in a way could have been possible. At this point, she had almost grown used to the strange occurrences in this world. Her fingers softly wrapped around something that rested in her lap and she pulled it up staring at a bell pepper. Resting it on the top of the throne, she whispered out.

"I have an intruder it seems."

Thin fabric danced around her form as she began the walk from the shrine to where the tunnels rested. In her home, she never fully cared what people thought of and so it was no care if the fabric was so thin you could see a soft outline of her figure beneath. She was beautiful. If they wanted to stare they could and it really would just bring pleasure to her more than anything else. Her lips curled with amusement and she walked with almost a skip in her step even though she referred to this guest as an intruder.

He had found a way into her temple without starting from the outside world. She normally felt them traveling down into her domain before they even made it to the main two tunnels. She had only been able to sense him a moment before and it made her curiosity grow wild. There was always a strange silence that drifted over the main cavern but she could make out the stop scurrying of feet. The servants must have taken noticed to her waking and knew what it probably meant.

It was strange for the young goddess to travel through the barrier and into the tunnel that lead towards the statues, but it did not affect her at all. Sliding her thin dress off, she walked down into the water letting it pool around her. He was stuck it appeared unable to pull away from the statues, so she could not wait for the look on his face when he saw her. She was the not the tallest woman so the water pulled around her belly button and her long, smooth curls of chocolate fell over her shoulders and back. She wanted to try to be as tasteful as she could for the poor man, if it was what she thought it was he probably would be rather confused.

Hazel eyes grew into a bright green as a calming air waved through the tunnel. It would be enough to bring peace to the man and make the meeting a little less hectic for her. "Now, now. It is quite alright, I promise. I do not bite much." Her words purred out softly to him and if he actually looked towards her he would see the green drift back to a hazel. "The statues will not hurt you. They are lovely, no? They bring a good shiver to your spine or warm your little heart? They were not my idea but they are interesting." She walked up to him like it was nothing letting her hand softly touch against one of the statues.

"You look mighty handsome with all that armor on." Eyes drifted back to him and her lips smiled bigger with what she said next. "But, clothing covers up what makes you really shine." She said it in the nicest way but she was curious how he would react.
