All About Robin Taiyo Mori

Short Summary

Robin is a warrior from Nisshoki who was raised for the express purpose of serving a noble lord when she came of age. Unfortunately, due to a plot of treachery hatched by a jealous superior, she was only able to fulfill that dream for a short month. She was maimed beyond hope of ever being a warrior again at the end of her tenure, and subsequently cast out by her wicked foster mother who had only taken her in to repay a debt.

Robin was fated to die in an alley as a cripple for these cruel developments, but Natsumi Yamauchi, the namless deity who felt pity and kinship for her, prevented that destiny. She healed Robin of wounds that were said to be permanent, and so Robin swore an oath to always be by the fox's side. The two quickly became more than guard and employer, however. It would take several years after their initial meeting, but their relationship would eventually blossom into unadulterated love.

Wisp Deadlight

The strangest thing about Edelweiss's plight was the necromancers and their influence after the tragic events of the kingdom's destruction. They didn't exist for long but they left a mark on history. They even managed to make a wisp undead which violated many rules the ancient deities had... Especially since wisps were considered souls of the dead in the first place. This wisp deadlight, as Edelweiss residents called it, is capable of giving off enough light for a small group of people underground. The light this dead wisp gives off almost pulsates and is not a steady source of illumination.

Wealth Teardrop

A beautifully crafted teardrop of gold suspended from a platinum chain. This was another famous tool for those who traveled to Edelweiss to use the mines below. This teardrop would rotate whenever something valuable was around. Valuable in this sense relied on what the user thought he would value whether people, treasure, or other things.

The Poisoned Barb

A sword of a once mighty god of assassins. It has the ability to not only function as a sword but also as a serrated whip. It’s blade is coated in a poison not found on the mortal plane. Poison can only be cured by water from magic-concentrated places like Feeorin Forest or Sularia.

Terrene Crossbow

A crossbow carved from whole emerald and decorated with silver. Chunks of different gemstones have formed about it’s form. This crossbow was a weapon of a once mighty god and it has the ability to shoot through solid earthen forms like trees or walls.

Spider Gear

This is a special set of climbing gear developed by the Auzial Academy for the Gifted in Sularia. This gear allows their professors and students (and now yourself) to climb cave walls easily. This set of hand claws and feet spikes stick to the walls almost like a spider.

Skyfishing Rod

A special fishing rod with a kite attached designed for catching skyfish. Instead of hooks, the kites are used to chase or lure them into basket traps.
This is an event prize for Angela and Shiloh's 2019 event Ballad of the Skyfish.

Skyfish

A strange creature that is not actually a fish that flies through the air using telekinesis and levitation. Their slender bodies allow them to move quickly to escape predators. They also taste delicious grilled with butter. Please don't eat this one!

Shield of Ouroboros

An obsidian and lacriamium shield emblazoned with a symbol of a snake devouring its own tail, the symbol of infinity. This shield is imbued with the powers of life and death, allowing the bearer to choose how to use it. The shield can either cast a radiant spell that heals the bearer as he or she carries it, or it can create a powerful aura that drains the heath of anyone in close range to the bearer. (Spell can only be used once per day.)

Sea Mirror

A shield wielded by the original sea goddess. It is a mirror made of abalone shell, mother of pearl, and ancient ice. This shield has the innate ability to grow at will. The larger it gets the less durability it has before the ice will crumble. It will reform with a small time frame first as water then as a solid. Water will also call to it, forming barriers where the shield cannot reach as long as the shield is intact.

Sapphire Sword

A beautifully smithed blade made from sapphires that has a chilling aura to it. It is most likely carved by the dwarves of Baltil. The blade itself glows like a thousand stars.

Sanguine Whip

The once legendary weapon of a fallen god of destruction. This whip was known for how bloodthirsty it could be. Should the user feed it their own blood the whip would hit harder and faster. However, the true feat of this whip would be its need for bloodlust. Once it obtained a trace of blood from an enemy it could track it and almost always hit it’s target.

Reaper's Scythe

Permanently stained with blood, legend has it that this weapon is meant to separate a soul from its body so completely that it cannot be resurrected unless by a God. Though this scythe appears to lack the ability to do so in its current form.

Rain Drum

An instrument used in rain-dancing rituals. Shamans use these to bless the rains down in Onnen. When played this instrument allows one to summon rain in a 5 meter radius around them for a few minutes.

A curious cat that when happy is light and fluffy and white but when unhappy is gruesome, mean, and black.

Plumeria Folding Fan

A fan created from giant plumeria petals. These petals are hard and enchanted to withstand abuse from users. When used correctly they will summon a powerful petal storm that can cut and tear at enemies while healing allies.

One of the lost artifacts of the Celestial Parvpora. This face turns the user into a person that their “victim” most desires. Beware though that many people have been killed for less and that sometimes tricking others isn’t always a good thing.

Lunaris Drainer

A dainty flower that resembles a green tulip at first, but under the moonlight, its head will fully bloom into a beautiful arrangement of green, purple and yellow. It is at its most dangerous as it will spit its seeds at anyone it perceives as an enemy. If they make contact, the seeds will sink into the flesh of its victims and within moments, vines will sprout and coil from the entry wound and slowly drain the energy of its host until it dies.

Lucina's Moonlight Lantern

This lantern was made by the fallen goddess Lucina. She was once considered a saint among the people of Parvpora before the Tree was tainted. She would light the way home for sailors using the moon. She created these lanterns to ward off the evil of her conclave siblings. When the tree became tainted these delicate stained glass lanterns were hidden so she could not destroy them.
Can see through darkness made by magic by ten feet.

Ice Crown

What happens when someone can't just let it go? Well, funny story really. We don't have the time to tell it, HOWEVER, we do have this crown. This crown is finely made out of enchanted Itjivut ice. Never will it melt. Never will it create snowmen who annoy you to death. What it can do for you is keep you safe in cold places. Plus it looks mighty snazzy no matter your race.

Handy Frying Pan

Legend tells of a noble woman who grew tired of her husband's crap. She took the frying pan and gave him a good whack. She was known as Lisa the Panhandler. This frying pan has a rune engraved on the bottom of it. When activated it can adjust its gravity enough that it can be light or heavy like a boulder. It allows for excellent battlefield damage.

Glowing Axolotl

This little buddy is great for on the road trips. He is pink with a little heart on his rear end. He glows in the dark to provide light and his facial expressions are among the best. No one could ask for a better friend than him. Unlike the non-magical variety these little guys can stay out of water. They like to ride your shoulder!

Gemstone Pickax

Edelweiss had many famous blacksmiths and craftsmen come through their town thanks to the prosperous gemstone mines beneath the town. This pickax was crafted from pure gemstone with a gold or silver handle. There appear to be faded dwarfish designs scrolled across the handle but age had worn them down considerably. These pickaxes when held up to ores or gemstones can produce that light that will tell you if the mineral is profitable or not. Though the color of the lights all depends on the gemstone used to craft it.

Force Gauntlets

This armor was used by a powerful fate god once upon a time. These gauntlets have the ability to change the weight of the object they touch. They also have the ability to push or pull a target from several feet away.

The weapon of a powerful moon goddess this scepter wields the power to change night or day time. The effects of this weapon are limited to the area around the caster. An old and worn book with a beautiful leather cover. It appears as if it would hold many tales of old, but the pages are blank. Resting in the middle of the book is a beautiful quill made out of a peacock feather. When the two are used together, the story that is written in the book will come to life around the user, but the words disappear into the book. When the writer stops, the effect only last a moment longer before it disappears like it was never there.

This spear was once said to be crafted with the origin of all magic by the first arcane god. Though it’s original power has degraded it is still a force to be reckoned with. The head of the spear is formed with pure aether allowing it to have several uses and effects that a normal solid blade cannot. The length of the spear tip depends on the wielder and how much magic they decide to feed it.

Seeker's Map

This map is actually a thin sheet of metal with a map of the world inscribed on it. If the bearer has a hair from someone, they can weave that hair into the border of the map, and that person's location will be shown on the map.

This powerful and rare artifact has a rather interesting property. It allows the bearer to travel backwards and spend up to one hour reliving some moment in their past. However, they cannot change or influence the past in any way.

Artisan's Flask

A flask made of pure crystal and embedded with gemstones of all different colors and origins. This flask was handcrafted by the goddess herself while she was bored and imbued it with the ability to turn anything put into the flask into a high-level health and mana potion. The potion itself takes on the qualities of Angela's best potions. Limit: Only changes 1 full flask a day. Use wisely. Note: You could be on the brink of death and this potion will rebound you completely. It is toxic when consumed in large amounts which is why there is a limit per day on how much one can consume.

This has the basic functions of a plague mask. The beak has a compartment for herbs and medicine. This enchanted mask will keep minor diseases away from you. The material on this mask also offers minor protection against psionic magic.

Concordia's Bondage

Spider silk has been woven into the strongest rope known to Revaliir in the name of fun. Many citizens of Revaliir use this for many unsavory things, too adult for many to hear, but also it is used by many sailors when they have saved up enough coin as the strength of the silk has never failed.

Zujiuchu's Ectoplasm Stars

These throwing stars were formed by using the souls of those Zujiuchu thought were true warriors. He used their bodily essence and turned them into weapons worthy of a god. These ethereal stars can pierce through just about anything and they are always sharp.

Abedian Hypnotic Curry

This curry has multiple different special ingredients that mess with one’s mind. It induces a psychedelic effect and other various effects: shrinking, another language being spoken, hair color change. None of the effects are permanent but be wary that you will never know what you are going to get when taking a bite.

Backpack

A hardy pack, with two straps that allow it to be worn on one's back. It's ideal for carrying supplies while on the move.

Bastard Sword

A sword with a grip long enough to allow for two-handed or one-handed use. This blade is used to cut into enemies.

Broadsword

A simple sword of steel construction. Serviceable, if not exceptional.

Buckler

This small, round shield is gripped with the fist. It is highly maneuverable, and a popular choice in melee combat.

Hunter's Instinct

Creates heightened senses needed to be a hunter. I.e. Smell, sight, etc.

Strength

Increases the physical strength of the user for a short time.

Soapstone

A soft stone consisting of talc. Often used for crafts.

A lightweight silver shield accented in black tourmaline. Will absorb any magickal attack when used, and reflect out a short burst of near blinding light magick to give the shielder time to prepare their own returning attack (or flee!).

A precious gem made from two different minerals. It comes in a variety of attractive colors but is most known for it's deep green. This precious gem is sought after by merchants, enchanters and warriors alike for its allure in most markets.

Includes the common items you would need for housework like pots, pans, brooms, mops, culinary, etc.

Blacksmith Tools

A handy kit of simple blacksmiths tools: Anvil, forge, tongs, hammer, chisels, and rods to hammer out and craft tools. Warning: some of these tools are not (that) portable!

Gardening Tools

A simple kit of tools that will help one begin their gardening career. Tools like a spade, sickle, hoe, and your very own watering can!

Mining Tools

A set of simple tools to help someone mine for minerals. Consists of a pickaxe, heavy duty hammer, chisels, and other various tools a miner may find himself in need of.

Torch

A basic light source, a torch is usually a stick with a combustible material at one end, which is then set ablaze.

Lesser Agility

This spell grants the ability to move at heightened speeds.

Spear

Tanto

Version of a dagger carried by the Samurai of Ataiyo. Crafted with a flat blade like a katana. Can be used for stabbing or slashing. Women of Ataiyo conceal tantos in their obis for protection, or perhaps darker intentions

A circular shield of good quality and strength. Typically paired with a one-handed weapon to give the user a balance of offense and defense.

This spell allows the caster to sense a magical aura around a person, or to sense another's presence even if the caster cannot see them. Also allows the caster to sense magical presence up to 40 yards away.

A long, curved blade, these swords are treasured for their strength. The forging process is long, as the metal is folded, pounded flat, and folded again, many times over until a strong, yet flexible blade is formed.
Enchanted with a keen rune so it never rusts or dulls from age. Enchanted with a second rune so that the blade has an easier time cutting through small amounts of other metals. The weapon stores power in its scabbard that increases the strength and sharpness of drawing strikes. The scabbard can also be used as a small shield in a pinch.

A large hammer with a long pole favored by dwarves. Shatters bone when wielded correctly.

However, some devious-minded magi were able to capture specimens of these bandaged creatures in order to reverse engineer their anatomy and the necromantic energies that powered them. Now, with enough silver and materials, you too can hire these shambling tanks of death to serve you. Unlike other military units, they do not decay over time, and can reform their bodies if they are not completely destroyed. However, they are slow-witted and slow-moving, much like their weaker zombie counterparts. 10 Mummies per unit.

Skyshard Lyrebow

A slightly larger than normal lyre made of skyshards, exquisitely crafted and refined its music is sublime. However, the shape of the lyre is that a bow, for in fact the strings, also of skyshard, can be used to fire arrows. The instrument/weapon can create its own magical arrows with each drawing of its seven strings, if one is capable of pulling back that many. Normal arrows can be used as well as is recommended as the magical arrows aren't that powerful, more as a last resort. A finely crafted work of art and weapons combined to make any bard or musician comfortable they are always able to defend themselves.

A beautifully handcrafted violin made from skyshards, it never goes out of tune once the violinist has tuned it. Its music always sounds perfectly clear no matter the environment played in its crystal clear. The violin helps to amplify the emotion in the music being played and passes it to the listeners. For example, a calm slow song will help ease people into a calm state, while a frantic and hectic song will have the opposite affect.

A finely crafted rapier created from a Wasp's stinger. Very strong in its durability thanks to some added magic, the rapier never needs to be sharpened and it will actually repair itself if broken, though it takes some time to do so.

The caster can shoot out a grease-like substance from their hands causing the terrain to become slippery. This grease is flammable so be warned as it can hit both caster and targets if not careful.

Fog Cover

Fog is conjured to cover where the caster wants. This fog obscures even the best vision but can only obscure the best vision for a few minutes before their eyes adjust. This allows for the caster to get away or find a safe place to hide... Or if one is daring enough, allows one to get an attack of opportunity.

Jester Mockery

The caster mocks their opponent if they can’t resist they take psionics damage and their response time slows a little bit for a short time.

Magic Script

Allows for messages to be written in the air by the caster. These messages remain for days at a time until they are dismissed by the correct phrase or word. Perfect for groups that are meeting up.

Web

In a small space of 15 feet around where the caster casts the spell spider webs shoot from every direction entangling all within the area.

Telepathic Bond

Stronger than the regular telepathy spell this spell allows for two or many to be bonded by the caster. They can telepathically communicate over long ranges as long as there is no interference.
