All About Aven Kilandre-Alveron

Aven is pale skinned, with short, combed up silvery-grey hair. His eyes are soft and deep set in his heart shape face, and match his hair in color, but small specs of black constantly emanate from his pupils to the edge of the iris and disappear. His build is gaunt, and he dons short black hooded robe with black leather gloves and boots. Underneath the robe, there are matching pants and a shirt. Around him, miniscule black particles appear at random, floating off into his surroundings.
Despite his dark look and magic, Aven is a caring soul that yearns to help others, torn from his world of birth by strange magics. He is quick to help, and late to abandon those in need: however, he has no tolerance for those who do not wish to help themselves. Likewise, Aven is rigid in his belief that birth does not forever define one's worth, even in the wake of his upbringing as a nobleman in the world he lived in previously. In lue of this, he does not consider status as a major facet when choosing friends and acquaintances.
Aven relies on observable facts and logic rather than putting too much stock in faith, though he acknowledges through faith's various miracles and blessings that the Gods do exist. This reliance on proof has led him to become a bit oblivious to other's feelings at times.

Magic/Abilities:
Aven is physically weak due to the physiological strain of Shadow magic and Dark matter upon his body, but has grown adequately agile in his movements through training. Due to his weakness, he cannot properly wield most weapons, and thus chooses to focus solely on his magical abilities for both offense and defense:

-Shadow Form: As a result of his research into Shadow animation through the strange magical substance "Dark Matter", Aven's body is infused with shadow magic and Dark matter, naturally exuding dark matter, which he can use to empower his magic: this connection has changed his physiology at a base level, causing any source of light to weaken his magic and slow his metabolic functions, the degree to which it does so depending on the strength of the light. Conversely, Aven's metabolic functions are increased in the absence of light, the degree to which they are enhanced depending on the level of darkness, to the point of passive regeneration of wounds and fatigue in complete darkness and highly enhanced control over his magic.

–Dark Matter Empowerment: Dark matter is a non-magical substance, existing in trace amounts alongside normal matter. At a molecular scale, dark matter's particles are much larger and many times denser than normal matter, causing light particles to be unable to escape their pull and their energy to be absorbed; however, they lack the natural bonding capability that normal matter posseses, making it impossible for dark matter to form any structure of any kind by itself. It does, however, have the unique capability to be fused with normal matter or magic, resulting in outlandish phenomena. Any normal matter or magic that is fused with dark matter in this way becomes a version of dark matter itself, causing any dark matter infused magic to be unaffected by anti-magic fields. For reasons still unknown, dark matter is adverse to Holy magic in general, and potent against demonic magics. Finally, Dark matter has a volatile reaction to being fused with living tissue: if the fusion is not controlled perfectly, instead of fusing, the dark matter will overpower the living tissue, converting it completely into un-bonded dark matter, which will scatter. If the fusion is controlled perfectly, the living tissue retains it's original form and most functions, but becoming a dark matter version: strangely, in this fusion, the bonding between particles is not as strong, thus a dark matter being and a normal matter being of the same type have little to no difference in durability.

-Shadow Meld: Aven merges with the shadow of an object, allowing him fast travel along the shadow's expanse. While Shadow Melded, Aven is only discernible from the shadow he is melded into by a circle that is slightly darker than the shadow itself. Also, while Shadow Melded, he can only be harmed by things that expel light upon contact, such as, but not limited to, light, light magic, fire, Fire magic, and Lightning magic, all of which will eject him from the shadow he is melded to instantly. This ability cannot be used in direct sunlight or magical light.

–Empowered Shadow Meld: Aven merges with his own shadow, allowing him to move at high speeds along any non-reflective surface, regardless of light level. Any strong light magic to hit his shadow in this form will harm him physically, but will not end the effect. After using Enhanced Shadow Meld, Aven temporarily loses his Shadow Form's benefit of being in darkness.

-Shadow Manipulation: Aven distorts the shadow of an object, causing it to take on any shape he wishes contrary to the object's actual size or shape, to the degree of either double its normal volume or half its normal volume. This shadow ignores normal light, but not magically created light.

–Empowered Shadow Manipulation: Aven draws upon the dark matter surrounding him, allowing him to make shadows into solid, three dimensional objects. The base shadow that is animated in this way become twice as dark and will be unaffected by both natural and magical light, but the animated offshoots must keep contact with that shadow, or they immediately dissipate: furthermore, though they are extremely resistant to physical force and magic, they will dissipate when hit with strong light producing magic, such as, but not limited to, Light magic, Fire magic, and Lightning magic. After using Enhanced Shadow Manipulation, Aven will be temporarily unable to utilize Shadow Manipulation.

Tenebris Amulet
This talisman absorbs the person's rage and violent tendencies and stores it in the blood red gem at its center, and replaces it with Euphoria and Warmth. When it becomes full, the crystal cracks and the violence and fury is released back on the person, creating a sort of Jekyll and Hyde moment in the wearer.
