All About Mezereon

Appearance and Personality:

With flaxen braided hair wound into rosettes, dim golden eyes, and a petite frame of 4'11–Mezereon is her family's dainty little flower. As the current youngest daughter of Revati, laziness and luxury are her vices. Being spoiled by her father led to the development of a cheeky and selfish disposition, though she is just responsible enough to maintain her comfortable lifestyle. She works hard when she wants to and only then, setting aside plenty of time in a day for rest and relaxation. Working smarter, not harder is her personal motto as she always weighs the benefits before doing anything. She is indifferent to her family, with Raizel being the one exception. Mezereon is quite fond of her newly-acquired younger sibling to the point where she is willing to put herself through minor inconveniences to get him gifts.

She enjoys wearing embroidered silk gowns, comfortable stylish slippers, and having long colored ribbons woven into her hair rosettes. Her outfits and accessories are meticulously chosen. If it doesn't look good, she won't wear it. She stubbornly believes that high-quality goods are the best, but she isn't going to pay more than what she believes they are worth. Should someone attempt to convince her otherwise, she will insist until she gets her way. She will be less bothered if she is given sub-par service for a cheap price than receiving excellent service for an outrageous one.

History:

Mezereon was born from the union of the deva Revati and a rebellious dancer. For many years she was the youngest daughter of their house, thus she was eager to see Raizel when their father brought the boy back to their family villa. Most of her days were spent indoors reading and playing with potions until she took up divination. For her it was the perfect skill for someone like her–she could sit around all day and people would come give her money in exchange for a tidbit of insight. Her most ambitious endeavor was mastering archery to the point where she could shoot an arrow sitting down as easily as others did standing up, which made her more raucous half-siblings leave her be. She had an amicable relationship with her youngest brother as they came to a mutual understanding to mind their own business.

When the family discovered he had left, the diviner was glad for his decisive choice. She always felt the house was growing too stuffy with each new addition to their family. Eventually she too decided it was a time for a change in scenery, and moved out to get some well-deserved peace and quiet with her beloved pets and 'servants'.

Talents and Abilities:

Aside from her talents in divination, Mezereon is a dabbler in many arts. Gardening, alchemy, and archery are her favorites. She is skilled in magic that manipulates earth and flora, complementing her hobbies. She has a keen eye for value and details, a sharp tongue, and an ear for gossip. Having far too much time on her hands, she is well-acquainted with many forms and methods of divination. Her favorite method is tasseomancy, a type of fortune-telling which interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments.

Inferos Sunstone

A black stone with a red flourish through it that seems to be constantly swirling, imbued with the power of the blood red sun of Inferos. The stone is set into either a ring or a necklace, and casts an aura of constant regeneration around the wearer. The regeneration is minimal, but can provide protection from minor injuries in times of need.

Phoenix Bow

Carved from ash and blessed by flame, the Phoenix-shaped bow frame is detailed in gold and ivory. As the user knocks an arrow, it transforms into a bolt of flame, loosed into the victim.

Acclimatize

This spell allows the user to adapt their body to the temperature of their surroundings. It provides no outward change in physical characteristics or other racial traits.

Bag

Made out of whatever material one could find at the time, this bag holds a few possessions one would have.

Simple, sturdy footwear, usually made of leather.

Bo Staff

A simple wooden staff, intended for martial combat.

Botanical Growth

Using the power of one’s relationship with the earth, one is able to considerably speed up the growth of florae at a max of 40 feet. This allows the florae to grapple or contain the people around the caster.

Canteen

A container typically used to hold drinking water.

Common Trousers

Sometimes called pants, this garment is worn on the lower body, and covers the legs. These trousers are long and extend down to the ankles.

Common Tunic

A simple garment which might resemble a long shirt that stops somewhere between the wearer's hips and ankles. The sleeves may be long or short, depending on the local climate.

This spell allows the caster to communicate with plants.

A basic healing spell that will restore an injured person's health.

A piece of clothing that is usually worn by an artist or chef that keeps their cloths clean while they work.

Meant to be worn on the hands, these gloves are sturdy and warm.

Stone Wall

This spell creates a sturdy stone wall, which can act as a barrier between the caster and an incoming attack.

Poison

This spell poisons a single target, draining their strength and stamina until the target is cured or the spell's effects wear off.

Renaissance

When worn, this Aventurine pendant will strengthen the will and focus of its wearer tenfold. Due to its effects, it’s suggested to only wear it in times of great need for no more than one hour at a time. While strength of will and focus are enhanced, the physical limits of the body are unchanged.

Quiver of Elemental Arrows

A medium pack of arrows that have been magically charged with different elemental effects. These arrows deal minor elemental damage. Each arrow can only do one element at a time. Meaning you can't have fire and water damage on the same arrow.
This pack has a max of 25 elemental arrows you can use per thread unless you roleplay buying more.

Herbs

These herbs can be prepared in a variety of ways— ground into a balm, brewed into a tea, chewed whole, and more— and have a variety of properties that make them valuable to alchemists, healers, assassins, and more.

Charm

This spell allows the caster to seem more endearing to the target, and the target is more receptive to the caster's suggestions or ideas.

Guiding Light

A palm-sized pyramid crystal comprised of Ametrine. When the user is lost, a thin beam of light will shine from the crystal’s point to lead the user home or some other favored safe destination.

Backpack

A hardy pack, with two straps that allow it to be worn on one's back. It's ideal for carrying supplies while on the move.

This book contains an abundance of information about various plants and their alchemical properties, as well as various ways to prepare them to create powerful potions.

Sun's Kiss

A lightweight silver shield accented in black tourmaline. Will absorb any magickal attack when used, and reflect out a short burst of near blinding light magick to give the shielder time to prepare their own returning attack (or flee!).

Rose Cloak

Sewn together from roses from the Bakulaw Isle, this large floral cloak is a status symbol of grace and beauty. It is enchanted never to wilt nor fade. The petals are like the finest silk.

Mystical Mushroom

A mushroom found growing in the Feeorin Forest that has a little trick to it. It can do five things to yourself or an enemy, as long as they eat it. (At random)
1. Puke live butterflies for an hour. 2. Tell the truth(no matter what) for an hour. 3. Grow a luscious beard. 4. Your entire body begins to feel like its being tickled and you lose yourself in uncontrollable laughter for an hour. 5. Uncontrollable singing and dancing for an hour.

Advanced Alchemy Kit

While most alchemists will be satisfied with the common variant of this kit, there are those who delve deep into the science of alchemy and need more. This kit is far rarer, but comes with a transmutation assembly that allows the user to transmute materials from something of equal value. Users should be careful, though, because trying to cheat the circle could cost them body parts. The most common use is turning silver to gold.

Endapano Longbow

Made from the wood of a tree in the Kingdom of Endapano, this tall bow makes a formidable weapon with adequate training and practice.
Enchanted with a keen rune so it never rusts or dulls from age. Enchanted with a second rune to make heavier projectiles lighter and sends them further and faster than other bows.

A simple kit of tools that will help one begin their gardening career. Tools like a spade, sickle, hoe, and your very own watering can!

A small dragon the size of a house cat. Gifted with minor telepathy and a poisonous sting, they can be used as familiars, as pets, scouts or even for the local post system.

This spell allows the caster to manipulate small amounts of earth with their mind.

Harenian Lizard

Are you tired of riding boring old horses? Shake up your day by jumping on the back of your own giant lizard! No longer will you be barred by walls, for the Harenian Lizard is skilled in scaling! One rider per lizard.

Box of Pyrotechnics

A large box containing a number of rockets filled with alchemical and magical concoctions that create bright colors in the sky when lit and set off. They are crafted by the alchemists of Sularia.

Basic Antidote

When consumed the antidote potion cures the consumer of all basic status ailments.

Commune with Beasts

This spell allows the caster to communicate with animals. With great skill, the caster can even convince animals to fight for you; lesser skill sends all animals into a frenzy making them attack even the caster.

Earth Meld

The caster melds with the earth and flora, keeping them hidden, or protected from earth attacks.

Ethereal Bow

A lightweight bow with a special enchantment; all arrows loosed from it fly through the air with deadly accuracy regardless of wind or weather. It was crafted by a team of rangers and alchemists from Karith so the winds of the flying city did not hamper their performance.

Kintsugi Vase

When a valuable piece of pottery from Ataiyo is broken, it is often repaired with gold or some other precious metal. Sometimes, the repaired pieces are also imbued with magic, keeping plant cuttings and flowers fresh for a month.
An additional enchantment has been put on this vase causing all herbs and flowers to become more potent. The longer the plant sits in the vase the more potent it gets.

Basket

A woven container fitted with a lid to protect from intruders, such as insects or children. It can be crafted from different materials and comes in many sizes.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all? Can be large or compact. Intended for people all over to view their pretty faces.

Drae's Bottled Starlight

Made by the Keeper to help his children combat their fear of the dark, this vials of thick colored glass can cast a starscape on the walls and ceiling of a room. When placed on the ground of an area or on a shelf, it creates a circle of protection with a 20 ft Diameter.

Poinsettia Hairpin

A hairpin with an intricately detailed poinsettia made out of beautiful jewels. Wearer use caution, for the tips of the hairpin are coated in a poison that can cause serious illness. It deals as a small shank when needed.

Hellfire Candles

These black candles are ever burning with a bright purple or green flame. They burn with the intensity of Inferos and its eternal torment. Perfect for All Hallows' Eve.

Cursed Fruit of Hunger

Causes the individual to become suddenly struck with insatiable hunger.

Moliira's Poison Vials

These poison vials are carved from gems and chased in steel, and contain small amounts of liquid. It only takes a single drop from each vial to create a deadly poison, but the manner of death varies depending on which bottles are used.

Magic Beans

A mysterious man from Iria sold these to an unsuspecting traveler for a pair of chickens. When planted, a large strong vine grows and allows one to safely ascend mountains and cliffs. It may even climb into the skies! Once you get to your destination all you must utter is a single keyword of your choosing and the structure will crumble producing your seeds once more.
These beans are very powerful in terms of what they do. They are enchanted to create either a land bridge or a staircase in any terrain or atop any surface. You could go from Mo'Mey Steppes to Endapano just by setting one of these down. The structures these beans create only last a day and if for some reason someone were to destroy the structure be prepared to run.

Harenian Death Mask

When placed over the face of a dying individual, these Death Masks could induce a state of suspended animation in the wearer until it was determined that they could be saved, or if they were to make their journey back to the Soul Stream.

Earthquake

The spell causes the earth to shake violently beneath a target's feet.

Scarab Choker

These scarab shaped ornaments are made from the bodies of the live scarabs that infested the resurrected capital of Aysut. Even in death, they maintain a portion of their master's call, but that call has been bent by the magics of the living. Anyone wearing these chokers can temporarily command the scarab piece to duplicate itself into a small group of illusory scarabs. These scarabs will have eye-shaped hieroglyphics on the back of their shells that the caster can see through, and, so long as the spell remains active, they are completely under said person's control.

Natus Hookah

A flask made of pure crystal and embedded with gemstones of all different colors and origins. This flask was handcrafted by the goddess herself while she was bored and imbued it with the ability to turn anything put into the flask into a high-level health and mana potion. The potion itself takes on the qualities of Angela's best potions. Limit: Only changes 1 full flask a day. Use wisely. Note: You could be on the brink of death and this potion will rebound you completely. It is toxic when consumed in large amounts which is why there is a limit per day on how much one can consume.

This map is actually a thin sheet of metal with a map of the world inscribed on it. If the bearer has a hair from someone, they can weave that hair into the border of the map, and that person's location will be shown on the map.

A beautifully decorated stained glass puzzle box made in platinum, this acts as a portable storage device akin to Reynash’s Endless Bag. The sides of the box bear symbols and related imagery of the goddesses of Life and Luck.
This item is an event prize for Shiloh and Angela’s 2018 Deity Event: Lunacy of the Deep

Yoyuki's Quiver

A magical quiver enchanted to never run out of arrows, replenishing its stock once all have been used. The arrows produced inflict temporary paralysis on targets. This quiver has a max of 15 arrows you can use per thread.
This is an event prize for Naota and Shiloh's 2018 event Night of a Thousand Phantasms.

Bottled Shiranui

A willowisp captured in a bottle. When released it emits a phosphorescent glow and can multiply quickly. Unlike most light sources it does not consume fuel or release heat. Max of 10 wisps at a time per thread.

Earth Grasp

Trees comes alive and grab hold of anyone within the radius of the caster’s spell but cannot move from their location. This spells lasts for as long as the caster puts mana into it thus becoming very draining after a few minutes.

Lucina's Moonlight Lantern

This lantern was made by the fallen goddess Lucina. She was once considered a saint among the people of Parvpora before the Tree was tainted. She would light the way home for sailors using the moon. She created these lanterns to ward off the evil of her conclave siblings. When the tree became tainted these delicate stained glass lanterns were hidden so she could not destroy them.
Can see through darkness made by magic by ten feet.

He is able to effectively help any scholar or alchemist (really anyone with a love of science) to gather herbs and other things for experimentation. Small and compact he would love to let you know that multiples of his kind are called a Labour.
