Kalyani was born during the first wave of Elvish Rosenite relations between the Oasis Elves and Rosenites. The first wave was treated poorly by the elves and often lead to high tensions. While as a city they managed to live in peace the elves had a hard time believing that they could ever mix their blood with the Rosenite women. The Gypsy lost her mother and father early on to a rare illness. It was so rare that the academy used her parents as the stepping stones to create treatment for everyone else. Kalyani's maternal uncle was an elvish warrior who was courting Bryony, the first oracle of the Rosenites, long before the first wave. Their relationship was taboo but they had not cared. Because of that relationship Kalyani always looked up to Bryony as her aunt even though her uncle died in a skirmish out in the desert.

Orphaned Bryony took the young halfling in and housed her. The nomadic oracle stayed put until Kalyani became a young adult before abandoning her for adventure once more. It was because of this that Kalyani herself became nomadic and trained herself to become a seer. Becoming a gypsy was also something of taboo since what she did was sacred to the oracles. Not having been back to Sularia since she exiled herself, she makes a living by cheating at cards and telling fortunes.

One particular instance before the tears opened up and swallowed things whole changed her life forever. She met the man she would eventually come to care for. He was a problematic idiot who killed everything in his wake. The only particular reason he kept her around was because Kalyani is smart enough to go along with what he wants. Eventually the feelings became blossomed and it was mutual in an odd sort of way. Even though her homicidal lover did not often show it he cared a lot about her. He went so far as to track down an Avatar to cure Kalyani of a fever and demand that she be helped.

Now that they are in Revaliir and separated Kalyani has spent her time travelling by foot to try and find him. Finally reaching Laeto Rainforest she came across a gypsy wagon and hag that interested her enough. She bet her seer powers for the wagon on a game of cards. Though she won't say how she won she acquired the wagon and horse making more problems for herself in the progress. It's unknown where Sirian is.

Giving up on finding Sirian for now the gypsy is trying to survive just as she has for the last three hundred years.

Boreas Dragon

"It sees you when you're healing. It knows when you're afraid. It knows when you've been injured, so run away for goodness sake."
This dragon hails from the ice lands. Its powerful roar can be heard throughout the lands of Revaliir as it flies overhead during Glaciem. Its ice breath is something that many fear and even its scale have a glacial atmosphere to them.
2015 Christmas Advent Calendar: Day 12

The Hag's Wagon

Stolen from the Hag of Laeto this magic gypsy wagon has spacial magic imbued on it. While it looks like an ordinary gypsy wagon on the outside. The inside looks much more like a modest house with upper and lower levels. The wagon itself is carved out of a magic tree that no longer grows in the land of Revaliir and suggests that the wagon is thousands of years old. How exactly Kalyani stole it is unknown but both the horse and the wagon were won over by her most likely from cheating at cards.

Draught Horse

A small but strong horse, not suited to riding, but excellent for pulling a cart, carriage, or plow.

Sandals

Basic footwear consisting of a sole, and straps binding them to the wearer's feet.

Sash

A long length of fabric, sometimes woven material, worn on the body. It may be used to in many ways, such as around the neck, waist, shoulders, and even over the head.

Cloak

This heavy, woolen cloak offers its wearer warmth and protection from the elements. It also has a hood, which can be drawn up to make the wearer seem more mysterious.

Herbs

These herbs can be prepared in a variety of ways— ground into a balm, brewed into a tea, chewed whole, and more— and have a variety of properties that make them valuable to alchemists, healers, assassins, and more.

Salt Flat Mirror

A mirror that appears to have been shattered from the Sundering Gardens itself. It comes from the largest mirror in all of Revaliir, Angela's Salt Flats. This mirror will allow you into a glimpse of the Goddess's powers by allowing one to see any one person you have ever met. Simply envision the person and you'll be able to see them as long as they are on land.

These wolves are smarter and faster than their wild cousins, and lightning-bound runes flicker over their fur.

Noctis Amulet

An amulet that reacts to the amount of "Light" or "Darkness" in the room. Light and Darkness referring to the alignment of good or evil. The amulet will run hot for evil or cold for good. In the event that the people surrounding you are neutral the amulet runs warm.

Instrument of Epics

Allows the wielder to use musical chords in place of incantations, making spellcasting easier for the musically inclined. Allows speaking while casting, and shortening long incantations. Comes in a variety of forms, but the harp is the most iconic.

A fist sized globe of amber, it serves as scrying orb. The amber chunk was found in the world tree before it disappeared.

Artisan's Flask

A flask made of pure crystal and embedded with gemstones of all different colors and origins. This flask was handcrafted by the goddess herself while she was bored and imbued it with the ability to turn anything put into the flask into a high-level health and mana potion. The potion itself takes on the qualities of Angela's best potions. Limit: Only changes 1 full flask a day. Use wisely. Note: You could be on the brink of death and this potion will rebound you completely. It is toxic when consumed in large amounts which is why there is a limit per day on how much one can consume.

Steel Bound Lightning

A lantern made of twisted coils of steel and a glass lens, it can be charge by arcane means or leaving it out in a storm. It feeds on lightning, and the user can channel it into a beam of light.

A blade that requires the blood of its victim to work. If blood is consumed by the blade, the victim will lose control of the alignment of their actions for a set period of time.

A crystalline snowflake that is constantly shining with holy light. When one has this in their possession, they are surrounded by holy power, making them safer to the undead or those of evil intent.

Grooming Kit

A small box full of everything a man or woman may need for their grooming needs: scissors, razor, creams, a brush, and so on.

Herbs are placed burned in this device, and the user may inhale the smoke.

Houseware Tools

Includes the common items you would need for housework like pots, pans, brooms, mops, culinary, etc.

Alchemy Kit

This kit contains all of the tools an alchemist might need, including vials, a mortar and pestle, and a calcinator. May also include an alembic.

Basket

A woven container fitted with a lid to protect from intruders, such as insects or children. It can be crafted from different materials and comes in many sizes.

Beeswax

A useful substance from the jungles of Laeto. Used to waterproof whips, armor, and other useful things. Can be put in the ears to cancel out noise, but it won't have any effect on Psionic spells, we're afraid.

A container typically used to hold drinking water.

A piece of fabric stretched over a wooden frame with a stand made out of wood for one to paint on.

Fan

An object made of feathers or cloth stretched between sturdy spokes, it is often used to keep one's self cool.

Made from wood or, when available, bamboo, this pole has a length of string attached to it as well as a hook, and is used to catch fish.

Flute

A wooden rod that is hollowed out with holes carved in. If one places their fingers over the holes, it makes sounds when on blows into the mouth piece.

A simple kit of tools that will help one begin their gardening career. Tools like a spade, sickle, hoe, and your very own watering can!

Lantern

A metal box with glass panels protects the flame inside this lantern from being extinguished by the wind. Some lanterns have ornate decorations. They can be carried by hand or hung.

A musical instrument with pairs of metal cymabls attached to a frame. Most tambourines also have a drumhead stretched across the frame.

A delicate bottle filled with perfume.

Bottle of Wine

A bottle filled with an alcoholic drink typically made from fermented grapes or other fruit.

Scented Candles

When lit, these candles fill the room with a pleasant aroma.

Make-Up Box

Inside this box are various face paints, powders, coals, and similar cosmetics.

Crystal Ball

A mystical ball made from glass or crystal rests upon a base. Some claim that looking at the ball allows them to see into the future.

Divining Talismans

These talismans are usually shaped like dice and are used in divining rituals. They are almost as common as crystal balls among psychics and gypsies.

Scrying Bowl

At first glance, this may seem like a simple bowl filled with water. However, there is a magickal aura present, and if one looks into the water, images of people may be seen.

This book contains an abundance of information about various plants and their alchemical properties, as well as various ways to prepare them to create powerful potions.

Fauna Atlas

A tattered atlas detailing all of the creatures that reside in Revaliir. An excellent pick up for those who are always on the road.

Veille Mbanja

A sinister knife made of iron and leather that can be thrown with deadly accuracy. Injuries from this weapon will actually cause the target to feel numbness instead of pain.

Noble Bracelet

A high price bracelet probably worth a fortune. Crafted from the finest rubies and gold.

Belt

A simple piece of material, usually leather, that holds up one's trousers.

Noble Necklace

A fancy necklace made out of precious metal and gems.

Fancy earrings made out of precious stone and metal.

This garment is worn on the lower body, and is well-made.

This garment, worn on the upper body, made from the finest fabrics. Comes in many types for both men and women.

Saree

A beautiful piece of clothing from Abed. The color of the saree is normally what your mood is for the day.

Botanical Growth

Using the power of one’s relationship with the earth, one is able to considerably speed up the growth of florae at a max of 40 feet. This allows the florae to grapple or contain the people around the caster.

Commune with Beasts

This spell allows the caster to communicate with animals. With great skill, the caster can even convince animals to fight for you; lesser skill sends all animals into a frenzy making them attack even the caster.

Curse

This spell supernaturally weakens the target's strength, dexterity, and magickal ability.

Gate Travel

This spell allows the caster to open a portal to another location anywhere in Revaliir.

Greater Agility

Not only heightens one’s speeds, but allows them great balance and the ability to land on one’s feet from high height. This spell also allows the ability to walk on walls and ceilings for the duration of ten minutes.

An advanced healing spell capable of sealing all but the most grievous of wounds.

A basic healing spell that will restore an injured person's health.

Hunter's Instinct

Creates heightened senses needed to be a hunter. I.e. Smell, sight, etc.

Incognito

This spell allows the caster to change their physical appearance.

Lesser Agility

This spell grants the ability to move at heightened speeds.

Strength

Increases the physical strength of the user for a short time.

Stone Skin

A spell that causes the skin to harden, and become armor-like.

Summon Item

The caster summons an item, normally armor or weapons, that they own from the aether.

These beautiful, intricate pieces of jewelry are clearly costly in make. But anyone wearing them will soon find themselves haunted by ghosts always just out of sight and the screams of the damned. A great present for that ex you hate!

Scarab Choker

These scarab shaped ornaments are made from the bodies of the live scarabs that infested the resurrected capital of Aysut. Even in death, they maintain a portion of their master's call, but that call has been bent by the magics of the living. Anyone wearing these chokers can temporarily command the scarab piece to duplicate itself into a small group of illusory scarabs. These scarabs will have eye-shaped hieroglyphics on the back of their shells that the caster can see through, and, so long as the spell remains active, they are completely under said person's control.

Aegir's Plague Mask

This has the basic functions of a plague mask. The beak has a compartment for herbs and medicine. This enchanted mask will keep minor diseases away from you. The material on this mask also offers minor protection against psionic magic.
Note: Only protects against one psionic spell once per day before it has to recharge.

Cadaver Angler Fish

Angler Fish have always been one of the mighty predators of the depths but this species has always tugged on the hearts of all those around it. Instead of a sweet light that attracts you, it is the body of your loved ones you find, alive and dancing ready to be with you until the end (of you).

Concordia's Bondage

Spider silk has been woven into the strongest rope known to Revaliir in the name of fun. Many citizens of Revaliir use this for many unsavory things, too adult for many to hear, but also it is used by many sailors when they have saved up enough coin as the strength of the silk has never failed.

Cursed Khopesh

Infused with the same unholy power that buried the City of Asyut, these blades can cause mummy rot when a wound is inflicted by the blade. This mummy rot can be healed by magic, or will clear up naturally after about 24 hours depending upon the severity of the injury.

Ghost Kitten

Long forgotten by its owner, this kitten has wandered the land for years in search of a new owner. This is an event prize for the 2016 Halloween Event: Atop Haunted Hill.

Mummies

Originally these highly survivable undead were exclusively the servants of Rudjek, High Priest of Sardon, in his quest to empower the Crimson God with living sacrifice. However, some devious-minded magi were able to capture specimens of these bandaged creatures in order to reverse engineer their anatomy and the necromantic energies that powered them. Now, with enough silver and materials, you too can hire these shambling tanks of death to serve you. Unlike other military units, they do not decay over time, and can reform their bodies if they are not completely destroyed. However, they are slow-witted and slow-moving, much like their weaker zombie counterparts. 10 Mummies per unit.

Possessed Toy

This toy belonged to a son of a rich family from Egjora. It was given to him by a servant just after she was fired by the lady of the house for practicing dark magic. The toy seems to move on its own and has a demonic voice. The family this toy once belonged to died soon after by strange causes unknown. It is best to appease the toy and not stir its anger.

Reyansh's Mimic Potion

Going past how great the incognito spell was, Reyansh wanted to mess with his followers even more. He created the Mimic Potion that transforms a person into someone else for a full day. This potion mimics looks, voice, and smell to the best ability.

This spell allows the caster to summon ten giant tentacle plants ready to whip at their master’s enemies.

Zujiuchu's Ectoplasm Stars

These throwing stars were formed by using the souls of those Zujiuchu thought were true warriors. He used their bodily essence and turned them into weapons worthy of a god. These ethereal stars can pierce through just about anything and they are always sharp.

A rare form of bark that forest nymphs shed in secret groves during the first days of Venti every year. The bark looks remarkably like skin, and has a strong, earthy scent capable of overwhelming more sensitive noses
